>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

My clan and I have played this a bunch of times. It's pretty good. The few problems I have with it is the lack of atmosphere, and the spelling errors. I'd say the lack of atmosphere is caused in large part by the space terrain, and it's too late to change that.

The spelling mistakes are easy enough to fix, and if you don't want to, I'd be happy to fix them for you.

Nope. All is fixed, and should be released maybe sometime tomorrow. I'll upload it to SEN, and hope all goes well. There's been some objects added to the terrain to give it more of a "ruin" feel, And lots of new things to interact with.

I like the gameplay of this map, but as jack was saying, the atmosphere is off. I've noticed there's lots of open space with nothing. Its really boring and unrewarding to find yourself roaming around in bare terrain. Doodads, terrain clutter, buildings, anything would be better than it is plain. The next part of atmosphere is the sound and feel, i was surprised that a Bioject map didnt have footsteps, a shooting noise, reload, a zombie sound. Shroud of Darkness was probably the best zombie atmosphere map I've ever played. Now then, don't be discouraged cuz i aint haten brah. Its a well made map. My last complaint, tutorial. I found how to work the map easily, but a few pubbies get raped at the start. The rest of them die from hunger. I hope the map goes well, if you need anything im on Zell.@USEast.

I'm not going to play/download this until it is perfect. I want it to be a treat for me! This looks really cool and I have high expectations.

Thanks for the comment. we were going to add music, and mroe sounds, but the map turned out to be too large for players to sit there and dl, so we remoevd it. I spent hours on the music itself, editing and cutting some parts off, it was really nice how it turned out too. Probably the largest cut out of the game was the music..

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Download database is currently disabled because it's currently being worked on. It will come back in a couple of days (afaIk). Use other uploader like mediafire in the meantime.

What are the new Updates?

btw.. It'd be nice if you did put a Challenge Mode... that'd entice teamwork and further evolve the gameplay.
Please do so, because I have a STRONG feeling that there's a ton of untapped potential in the competitive department of this map.

I know i'm repeating myself, but if u do decide to do the challenge mode, your missions need to pressure the players :stfu:

Open RPG = meh~ ... wasted potential :(

EDIT: Forgot to say.. I think i completed 5-7 missions before I got distracted and then died by mistake. I know it's not much, but earlier missions being a cake walk is no excuse.

SC maps were being made for fun and I no longer have the free time to continue to do so. Enjoy the map for what it is.

I would also have to agree with USS Cane. It is indeed a great map, and I've played it over 30 times now. There are a few things I would like to bring to Bioject's attention though.

All of these points are assuming you have no released a version passed "v1.6", or found any of these problems with the map:

1) When playing the map, some missions are repeated even though they are completed. Thus being said, WDF is going on? I did the mission, and then the game glitches and wants me to do something again when there is nothing there.... Hmm....mistake?

2) When playing with a friend once (just us left... ugh... n00bs...), he picked up a Flashbang (worth $10) and then used it because he had found something more valuable (Flare/Recall Package - $50) to sell when at an item dispenser. Upon using the Flashbang, his hp hit zero and the game ended for him. Not only was I mad because I lost my partner in crime, but a hoard of zombies ended my fun shortly thereafter. There were no zombies in the visual vicinity to attack my friend when this occured and it made me quite mad because we had completed 9 missions and played for an hour. :/ Please fix that... I don't know what went wrong, but it's certainly not right.

3) This is just a suggestion, but whatever triggers you have working on the zombies HP when playing the game, I think, in my opinion, that they should be modified. I always find that no matter how many players I have with me (even if alone), no matter how many upgrades I have (even as the soldier class with approximately 20 upgrades... and yes... i can micro zombies...), I find that the game gets drop-dead difficult. The HP of the zombies gets too high too fast in my opinion. Every single time I hit the 40 minute marker during game-play, I feel that I may as well pack up my stuff and start over because the hoards just get too big, and even at level 14 with 20 upgrades (as already mentioned) and microing, I can't fight them off. Your HP setup for the zombies must be set on a timer because it's around that 40 minute marker that gets me. No matter if I use the subway and free myself from the clutches of their swarm, I still end up dead because they can travel along the map too quickly to do anything useful.

Overall, I love this map. That being said, I'd love to see some of these changes take place because it's bothersome to not ever have finished a great game like this in closed mode, even when I've honed my skills on the map (memorizing item locations and what I like to call "sweet spots").

I'd also have to agree with Unholy on the fact that the open mode of the map is exetremely boring. It doesn't keep you on your toes, and doesn't offer anything further than some blood. Seeing a "Challenge" mode would be wonderful because it would give the map a much more dynamic style of playing. If this map had a challenge mode, I'd consider calling it a "Left 4 Dead enhancement" because of the gripping action a masssssive swarm would provide while still trying to move as a group and eat every now and again.

Summary:
- Excellent map with few bugs and spelling errors
- Overall 7.5/10 for "closed" mode (Reason: cannot get passed the 1 hour marker.... EVER... even after around 5 consecutive, 40 minute games!!!!)
- Overall 3/10 for "open" mode
- Go with what Unholy said about a "Challenge mode" and put all those noob zombies maps to shame! (Left 4 Dead on Starcraft! HELLZ YEAH!)

Duuude you guys are way too sensitive.
You have to realize that by posting and talking about certain things about the map, it means that the poster cares about the map and enjoyed it. I think in earlier posts, I've already given my praise to the map.. I just wanted to give some constructive criticism because i felt the map can deliver even more.

SEE???? I knew someone'd agree with me on this.
Don't take it the wrong way, tho. It's not like players want a reenactment of L4D. What players want is to be challenged.

And btw, I am being serious when i said you can let me meddle with the map. But it's your map :P so w/e.

Yeah, again agreeing with Unholy. Don't take what I said as a literal definition in which I want a version of L4D to play on SC. It'd just be the closest thing anyone has ever seen, AND YES I WANT TO BE CHALLENGED!!!!

OOOOOPPPPEEENNNN SOOOOOURCEEEEE.

I mean anyone (with small amount of maps smarts at least, to bypass any protection) can make their own edit/version of it regardless but you should give permission to let anyone do it so then it's legit and no one gets angry or anything.

Just like what happened with Nude raiders Desert strike. I talked to him about it and I automatically assumed Nude would have been butt hurt after so many people had edited his map and but their name under his. To my surprise Nude told me that he was happy that everyone did and that he would (i think) Combine and use the ideas that other mappers had used in their own version to make a new official version later on in time. It was like a learning experience to collect information on how to improve the map. Moral of the story is that you should think twice if your going to say no without thinking about it just a bit ;D!

You would do the community a favor and you could use any versions with newer features as a base to create a new "hazard zone" for Sc2 if you were planning on joining that mapping scene. Best part is that you wouldn't need to think of or work on this map or put any effort into anything anymore but your name will still be on maps for being the "Source".

Everyone wins. Do it.

I love this game, it does show a zombie apocalypse and a city that actually looks real. though you should take out the civilian mission's long time because thats when most of the people die, considering it is really irritating to get "all" the civilians.
I have suggestions for later game like,

-Defend the hospital (Where you have to defend the hospital from zombies)
-Avoid the bombers (When a misguided air bomber attacks and you have to dodge the bombs)
and finally my favorite idea that I would love,
-Final Mission: Kill the Captain (Your captain has betrayed you and turned himself into a mutant, you must kill him to get to the helicopter to get out of this hellhole) thingy.
Please do not insult, shout, curse, or even threaten to kill me because of saying these things.

Guys, I love your map ... but it's buggy - after some time cars stop working... also there are problems with some quests(e.g. they repeat, even though they're already completed, or killing ultralisk with C4 doesn't finish quest...).

I was particularly unhappy with cars, so I decided to fix it ... but the map was protected ... but that didn't stop me from finding a way to unprotect it, open it and find the bug. However, I would like to respect your authorship rights and ask for permission to post the fixed version here when it's ready and tested. Also, I would still appreciate it if you could send me the original version(1.8?) of the map since my "unprotected" version is a bit hard to understand(some unit names are garbled and I'm missing location names).

I saw that you gave it to Veta and he fixed the Casino, I'm actually reading his version. However, the car bug exists in both versions, so it would be nice to fix that(and possibly other bugs with quests, because if you can't complete a quest and are stuck then it's pretty much gg for the closed mode).

Cheers and thanks for the great map! :)

Alright, after some quite serious debugging I think I fixed all issues that I found really disturbing. Therefore, I'm sharing the final "stable" version.

Hazard Zone v1.92.86 bug-free-ish version

I'd love some feedback and I hope that the zombies aren't too few for your taste :) I think that's the one thing that needs adjusting, but it's really hard to find the ballance of hard enemies for advanced players and yet easy enough for new players to join in.
