Yeah, we had loads of fun. Balance isn't perfect but we were all new to the mod (and we're all noobs) so that probably played a part in it.

I'll have to remember to stream next week's mod night. More people should join voice too, Dem0n and I were playing christian mingle for most of tonight

I see you guys are using quite a few of my maps. Sorry you don't like the rectangular one, it was an experiment, one of two actually. I think there's potential in that aesthetic but its very hard to execute since everything has to be done manually.

Part of the reason that map was no good for this mod was the tileset edits that absolutely melted our eyes. Not your fault.

Loveless suggested we use Shadowflare's Realm instead of iCCup next time. Not sure if it'll help with the hosting issues we were having or not, but it's worth a look imo.

I have perfect hosting on ICCUP if that's been an issue for you guys.

I don't have any issues hosting on ICCup either. I know Pr0nogo and Corbo did, not sure if any others.

I never had any issues years back but my current modem won't let me log in. I'll see if I can get it resolved in time for next week

I streamed last mod night over at my twitch channel if anyone wants to go back and find funny moments. I'm poring through it looking for some screenshots.

As for Masters of Holocaust, I'm planning on making some changes to the stat_txt.tbl for better readability. The obvious thing would be to highlight the hotkey for the build tiers. Otherwise, does anyone have any update requests?

Includes changes to enable smart rally, repair on idle, and rally points for all factories. Also fixes a huge number of tbl issues. I'm sure I missed some so I'll update with fixes if anyone else finds them.

Potential changes:
-Allies marine hotkey to 'A' (from 'M')
-Axis gateway hotkey to 'G' or 'B' (from 'L')

I saw that SC Revolution is the next mod for the Mod night.
Have you guys tried its multiplayer before?

The last time I played with RavenWolf we got desync in all the games.
Maybe it was a one-time thing. But if it was a problem with the mod we could wait for RavenWolf to release a fixed version before scheduling for a Mod Night.

If we get desynced we can just play GAG Mania or something else.

Since GAG Mania was the other thing we were considering, I will put it as a link in the first post as well. If SC:R proves too unstable, we'll switch.

For this mod night, we played three mods: SC Revolution, GAG Mania Draft, and Orid Ibanna.

SC Revolution:


We begin Mod Night with the traditional inaugural dropping of Corbo.


This map has some P12 units in the center. SC: Revolution has SCVs auto-mine at the beginning of the game, so P12 is industriously mining out this expansion. What they gonna build though? O__________O


Evidence that things are not going well across the map.


I spent a while massing Diamondbacks because I like their sprite. Unfortunately, they don't attack air...


I flee in all directions.


It doesn't really go well.


My plan to hide among P12 does not work.


Fair enough.


Meanwhile, Dem0n getting bopped from every direction.

KYSXD has a truly impressive line of Hydras that streches all the way across a 256x256 map. So impressive that it desyncs me.

Second game is a 4v4:


Inferno's bunker rush. Shortly after we all desync and switch to GAG Mania Draft.

We discover that mineral chunks only return 4 minerals though...


Warping some Zealots onto the cliff to fight Ex's tank line. Unfortunately they don't warp fast enough to avoid getting murdered.

Shortly after this I end up desyncing everyone by using shuttles to warp in units. My bad.

We decide to switch to an updated 1.16.1 Orid Ibanna:


Bopped right out of the gate.

Fighting back and forth with Inferno, after bopping some folks in the way.


Maybe I can just wait for everyone else to crash...


There are a few more battles, but Inferno and I are the only ones left and it becomes clear I can't win, so we gg to start the next game.

And Doodle to my east, until he crashes.


Oh hi Farty.


Corbo is using his minerals and time wisely.


I emerge victorious from the big ship battle at the end.

At this point we have determined there's something in the Pegasus Legion that causes the crash, so we start an all-Mechana game.


I am cannon-rushed by Inferno.


Getting bopped from all sides now.


Cannons are so good that Inferno and I are just fighting by building cannons next to each other. It goes well for me...


...until he starts building things that out-range cannons.


Rude, but not wrong.


I'm out of the game at this point, so I decide to harass Doodle with cannons until he gets tired of my shit.


The only free source of minerals at this point is halfway across the map from my only Nexus, and requires microing my probes between 3 enemy bases.



I enjoyed all of these mods, especially Orid Ibanna which is so different and visually striking. We have the crash somewhat narrowed down, so I'm hopeful that it can be corrected in the future.

Maybe off topic but...

Is anyone interested in any kind of tournament (Best of 3, Bo5, 1v1, 2v2) in a mod?

For this week, we chose to play Ad Astras, by Lord_Armageddon. We also played Eternal Duel: Earth vs. Mars.


Ad Astras is not the most intuitive mod.

In game 2, something goes wrong and only Farty can build structures. The rest of us ally against him, despite only being able to build workers.


Strict isolation must be imposed.

Unfortunately we started experiencing some technical problems (both with the mods and our networks). Hopefully we can resolve these for next time.

For this Mod Night, we played SC: Burning Ground, a total conversion that introduces three variants on the Terran race and features some seriously impressive graphics and plugin work.


The graphics come directly from StarCraft 2, but they've done a very impressive job of making them fit. The perspective, colors, etc. all look pretty good in-game.


Farty makes a disturbing discovery.


The first game goes to me, thanks to my ridiculously large battlecruisers.

I get rekt pretty early.


Harassing Pr0nogo's workers until he manages to get Lockdown. The Leviathan can do some cool space drifting while attacking, so I admit I was a little mesmerized making it drift instead of actually doing anything useful.


Being in the middle of everyone is not a good position to be.


I'm just going to live with Farty now...

The ability to call a Gunship is pretty cool - it flies across the map and shoots everything in the area for what seems like forever. It's a unit too, so it absorbs a lot of damage.


Inferno has had enough of my shit.

We play a final game on Kakaru Keys, the map that ominously warns "Watch out for the Kakaru!"

I rather liked this mod - a little confusing because I wasn't familiar with the units and it's hard to keep track of the differences between Terran factions - but some awesome plugin work and graphical overhaul went on here. It's also very pleasantly stable - I don't think we had a single issue.
