For the past few months I've become invested in two very distinct music channels - Confused Bi-Product of a Misinformed Culture and Stoned Meadow of Doom (and its sister channel). Not every upload from these channels is to my tastes, of course, but I was taken aback by how many genres of music I enjoyed, especially ones that I had previously rejected or simply never encountered before. The connection I formed with these genres went beyond workout/walking music, and became very cerebral.

The purpose of this thread is to reach out and find more channels that could help expand my mind and tastes even more than I already have. I'll also post some of my personal favorites from the aforementioned channels so others can see what I'm talking about.

Stoned Meadow of Doom

I have looked into Epicuros for a short time, though they don't appear to be nearly as active as the other channels. I may take a look at their backlog, as well as the ever-present Senmuth's. If anyone here has similar recommendations, please share them!

Just got through listening to this upload from SMoD (Brother O' Brother - "Neon Native"). It's slow-paced blues rock with a couple faster segments, and sports soulful vocals reminiscent of early jazz outfits. A real standout track, in my opinion, is 'White Noise', a very evocative song that wouldn't be out of place in a movie somewhere down the line. Overall I enjoyed the listen, but only a few tracks really sucked me out of what I was doing to force me to check the track listing, which is to be expected of this kind of music. No complaints there.

New stuff:

Electric Octopus - "Driving Under the Influence of Jams"
Four hours of groovy '70s mellow jazzy-rock. Insert more stoner/hippie buzzwords if you like. It's exactly what it looks like on the tin, but that doesn't stop it from being radical.

Whoopie Cat - "Whoopie Cat"
A cute little 34-minute album of blues-inspired ballads, with some thoroughly enjoyable rock moments. Great vocals, great instrmentation. A solid record overall.

Deaf Radio - "Alarm"
Powerful music with a fair bit of anthem-like vocal variety. 40 minutes of "good shit".

The Devil and the Almighty Blues - "The Devil and the Almighty Blues"
This 45-minute album is particularly memorable for its vocals, I feel. The instrumentation isn't too shabby either, definitely a moody release with some high/fast points scattered throughout the album.

The Devil and the Almighty Blues - "II"
The 48-minute sophomore album. Is it better than the first? It's certainly more mellow at times, and I think The Devil evolved quite a bit between the two releases.

Stonila - "Between Two Worlds"
Beautifully-crafted otherworldly instrumental album that spans 44 and a half minutes. Give 'er a spin.

More stuff:

Elder - "Reflections of a Floating World"
An hour of meandering yet cogent, intense yet mellow, synonym yet antonym stoner rock/metal. There's a surprising amount of variety in this album, yet it feels wholesome and consistent at the same time. Good for ambiance.

The Spacelords - "Liquid Sun"
With a name like 'The Spacelords', I was expecting tales of bizarre trips in musical form. I'm not quite sure if that's what I got out of this 44-minute stoner metal release, but it's pretty damn solid nonetheless.

Black Pussy - "Power"
A sexy 39-minute stoner rock album from a band that pulls no punches and is unapologetically honest with its themes.

Fabricantes - "La Selva Incrustada"
This 51-minute Argentinean release reminds me a bit of Tool's instrumentation and Soundgarden's vocals. It's heavier than both bands, however, which makes it exceptional workout music despite its at times slow pace.

I checked that stuff out a while back Apos, I don't think it's my cup of tea. Appreciate you sharing it though!

Some stuff I've been playing on repeat lately:

Fall of an Empire - "Croweater 2: The Last Wishes of Kings"
Despite the crow simulation, it's a very solid album. A little more active than people might be used to for ambiance but still worth a listen.

Confused Bi-Product's "The Mystery" prog/house mix
A really nice mix for getting work done. Keeps you engaged without distracting you. If progressive electronic is your shtick, give this a whirl.

DOOM 2016 OST
This caught me off-guard. I've been chipping away at a let's play of this game for the past month or so in between all the other stuff I've been working on, and the music is just as satisfying as the game is. The genre morphs between extreme metal and industrial/electronic. Highly recommended.
