Hi guys,

So I figured out how to make SCMDraft 2 work for Mac Sierra 10.12. Here's the basic run through.

For finding the folder that contains the downloaded maps, you need to first enable your hidden folders. This will enable all your hidden folders.

1. Open Terminal found in Finder > Applications > Utilities.
2. In Terminal, paste the following: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES.
3. Press return.
4. Hold the 'Option/alt' key, then right click on the Finder icon in the dock and click Relaunch.
5. Then go into your Macintosh HD / Users / *You* / Library / Application Support / Blizzard / StarCraft / Maps / Download

Now in order to get SCMDraft to work on the Mac, you need to download winebottler as well as have SCMdraft 2.
http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/
Download scmdraft 2 from a simple google search.

1. After installing this drag and drop both wine and winebottler to your Applications Folder.
2. Open up Wine and enable Directx9
3. Open up WineBottler and go into "Advanced" at the top.
4. Select the Scmdraft2.exe after unzipping the file.
5. For the Installation Mode: Check the "copy file (Program) to the App Bundle"
6. Click install
7. After it finishes packing/unpacking, it should be almost ready to go.
8. Open it up and click Edit at the "Scmdraft 2 - Select Profile" page.
9. This should open up SCMdraft 2.0 Settings.
10. Redirect StarDat.mpq, BrooDat.mpq, and patch_rt.mpq, (respectively in that order OR IT WILL NOT WORK ) which can be found in your applications folder in the Starcraft Folder.
11. That's it should open up.

If there is enough interest, I can add pictures describing step by step procedures.

Useful for me, thanks, got it working. Still working on trigedit plugin, gonna try to select the option in winebottler that includes "and all files in the folder", hopefully that'll work. On edit: it did not.

Followed these steps.

Doesn't seem to work on High Sierra. The same issue that led me here using the Wineskin Winery app seems to be stopping WineBottler from creating an application. In both scenarios, the OS shows that the application is open but no window appears...

Quite ominous.

Sorry, no idea. Maybe one of the people who uses a mac has some suggestions.

PyMS and ProTRG developer

I have not updated to High Sierra myself, so I can't test and confirm this fix, but there is an official WineSkin workaround for a High Sierra issue that might solve the problem: http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-view_blog_post.php?postId=87 (quoted below)

There is a problem in Wineskin GPU detection code with High Sierra changes.

By default your wrappers may crash or fail to launch.

Currently you can work around this by launching Wineskin.app, going to Set Screen Options, and uncheck the Auto Detect GPU for Direct 3D option, and the wrapper should work normally.

To get to the "Set Screen Options" area mentioned in the workaround, you can follow the same steps as in the `Optional steps` portion at the bottom of the stormcoast page. The "Set Screen Options" button is right at the bottom of the Advanced options.

Also make sure you update your Wrapper Version and Engine's if you have not already!
