Unit Targeting

I've been working on a way to get wraiths owned by the player to attack while not being visible, despite having vision. To do this I create/give to p9 whilst cloaked then 1DC later I give it back to the player so that they can attack. The vision lag makes the wraiths invisible to the player. Creating/giving on the same DC cycle does not allow for vision lag to occur.

In 'skill test' targeting works flawlessly. Every other DC the wraiths are created and ordered to patrol. This is the control test to see what the fastest targeting time is for wraiths.

In 'skill test2' I implement the cloaking system. However there are numerous problems that arise. The wraiths require at least 3DC in order to target and even then they do not target enemies consistently, around 80% accuracy. I have tried this without give triggers and the same problem arises. What I think is happening is that because there is a 1DC delay between being created and being ordered to patrol it may interfere somehow with the wraith's ability to target units. Ideally I'd like it to work as well as the first map where there's only 2DC where the wraith is allowed to patrol and all of the wraiths fire.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

Every 100 frames, vision gets updated for all players on the map (timer resets when you use optical flare as well).

Every 30 frames, units start to get detected. It's a bit finicky with multiple units getting detected, but essentially if you turn on vision or give a unit to a player, you can ensure you don't have shared vision or detection available every 30 and 100 frames and the unit will stay invisible and won't give you any vision.

I would recommend you keep some wraiths in a corner and move them where you want them to go and make the next batch of wraiths after you move them. This means that you don't have to create the unit first then wait a frame to give them to the player.

Thanks. I got a cycle down to 3DC by having them pre-spawned. Now if I can only figure out the targeting issues.
