That was like super deep jjf

No really, it does make sense. To me it was just like he was supposed to be there and wasn't changing anything because he WAS supposed to be there.

Also, it is my understanding that he was taken to that precise moment, like most of the times he was shown the past and he was taken there probably for a reason, no?
After the amount of times he was told that he was staying too long, the part where he fucked up Hodor was a result of that. Like how in the other times where people started seeing and hearing him, it's because he was observing the past too long, becoming a part of it if you will.

Burn them all is a very possible scenario, where Bran is trying to tell the Mad King he needs to burn bodies that he may have been sending over the wall or something to that effect. Maybe he or the girl accidentally says that line during one of his trips to see the Mad King.

For GOT's time traveling, I think it's a single timeline. There is no A or B, but one time line. All time traveling has already occurred and anything that has been done in the past has already been done.

None.

But if Bran didn't fuck up Hodor until that moment, how was Hodor already fucked up? :massimo:

It's a causal loop, you need to be ok with that :P

Just for clarity, A-series time isn't like a numbering system, it's a model of time/causality.

The longest going theory that the author himself denied to be true has finally come to pass. After him lying that Jon wouldn't come back for the next season, everyone was confident he lied about that too.

Then again, having one of the major plot points in the story being uncovered in the first book kinda sucks.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Coming with wooden ships to besiege the mother of dragons? What the hell were they thinking? I mean, even though she wasn't there at the time, they knew her dragons were.

What was Bran's Uncle (who saved him from the undead) backstory again? How is he undead but with a free will?

I found the battle for Winterfell sooooooo lame. So many details made it frustrating:
- I was expecting Jon to be a cunning leader, not a fool that almost gets killed right away despite being warned about it urgently by Sansa.
- Why does Rickon not simply look back to evade single arrow shots that have like a 10s flight time?
- Also ever heard of shields vs arrows? If you are foolish or poor enough not to bring your own at least fucking take one from your dead enemy!
- It didn't seem like they even had a plan. Nothing to give them an edge. They were just rambling all the time that battle's with worse odds have been won. Yeah, because of brilliant gambits, not by just running into their deaths...
- And then the end. Wow, how do you not have someone watch troop movements so you don't get trapped by pikemen? Those wear heavy gear. With the mobile wildling army it should've easily been able to go around them and kill the archers that were picking them off all the time.
- Also when trapped, the giant should've at least tried to create an opening so he and other wildlings can pick the pikemen from the side. He was even perfectly positioned at the side of the arc. He could've easily taken a couple bodies or tower shields as protection, wave it around to break the pikes and just push the formation open.
- Why did Jon's army even have archers? How did they expect the battle to go to use them? Ofc the cavalry will ride in first and then there's a battle in the middle. Did they even take shots at the enemy cavalry as it rode towards the middle?
- Anyways if you DO decide to have archers why not wait until they can do their job, when reinforcements try to cross the battlefield to join the fray? Oh right, I forgot. No plan.

I was really disappointed how obvious the mistakes were and how this reflects badly on everyone involved in the planning, just as a plot point to have a rescue last second LotR/Gandalf style. I mean if you have just half the men you cannot/would not go into battle naively and expect you'll just win because you're the good guys. Things like that just make me angry.
Sorry for the rambling, I realize GoT is usually better than this.

And yeah, season 6 was one of the most boring because all the cool shit happened at the end.

And yeah, season 6 was one of the most boring because all the cool shit happened at the end.
They had a plan, but Jon irrationally charged towards Ramsey after he killed Rickon. You can even hear Tormund saying, "Don't do it!" And of course they barely had a plan. They had like 2000 men compared to Ramsey's 6000+. They knew from the beginning that it was a long shot to win; Jon and Sansa both knew this, but Jon didn't think they had any other option, so he decided to attack that day. The whole point was that it was a hopeless battle from start to finish, and Jon's army literally never had a chance to win on their own.

Also, I really don't understand what all of you people are expecting from this show. Are you expecting huge battles that cost $100 million to create every single episode? Are you expecting each episode to have animated dragons and white walker armies flooding the screen? Season 6 was one of the best seasons; how can you even say otherwise? GoT fans have gotten so spoiled and act so entitled. The fact of the matter is that this show is still better than 99% of other shows that you guys would praise no matter what, but because it's so good, any time there's something you slightly disagree with, you act like a baby and say it's dumb or boring. Grow up.

I think you guys are also forgetting another dumb thing:

Sansa not telling Jon about the incoming Vale army. This made NO sense because she even tries to get Jon to stop the attack. Let me pull up the episode so I can get direct quotes...

Quote
Sansa: "If you would have asked for my advice earlier I would have told you not to attack Winterfell until we have a larger force, or is that obvious too?"

Jon, yelling at this point: "When will we have a larger force? We've pleaded with every house that will have us. The Blackfish can't help us. We're lucky to have this many men.

Sansa: "It's not enough."

Jon: "No. It's not enough. It's what we have. Battles have been won against greater odds."

Sansa: "If Ramsay wins I'm not going back there alive etc etc."

So here Sansa is trying to get Jon to wait. Jon says no point in waiting our army isn't getting any bigger. BUT SANSA KNOWS THE VALE IS EN ROUTE. All she has to do is tell Jon this, he would wait for the reinforcements, then attack when he had the numbers!! It makes no fucking sense!!!

I still don't know why she kept the secret from Jon either. Even in ep 10 Jon doesn't even seem to care/ask about how Vale got there, why he wasn't told - nothing. I think the show is so action packed now it's starting to forget about things like logic and proper character motivations and just focusing on making big blockbuster scenes. Which is a shame.
