ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

I am feeling in a gaming mood these days and with christmas upcoming I want to give myself a gift ;o

So I figured I want to get new games but I don’t know what’s good nowadays so, yeah... I want either games for PS3 or PC but with PC keep in mind that I’ll be using a laptop with the specs I’ll post below and I wish to play these games properly, at least on decently medium-high graphics (Obviously I won’t be able to do the highest settings because my laptop would fry)

I like strategy games, mostly, RTS are alright, I also like shooters the problem with shooters is that they make me dizzy and give me headaches so I cannot play them for very long periods of time.

I wish to spend something around $100, so a tight budget. If you can suggest a lot of games for my money's worth that's good, if you only have one $100 suggestion that's alright too.

What I do have for PC:
Starcraft 2 Trilogy
GTA IV (Played once because PC controls were too complex)
Civilization V (Played like 3 times cause I have no one to play with ;o)
Diablo III (I liked it but it had no replayability value so don’t play it anymore, I wish to get RoS eventually, though)

What I do have for PS3:
GTA V (Really liked it, ocassionally play it)
FIFA 14 (Played it 2 times)
The Last of Us (Really liked the game, I enjoy games like these in which you have to manage our ammo properly, plan ahead your attack or mobs would GG you and the storyline was decent)

To be quite honest, I’d like to get something for PS3 since I spend most of my day on the PC. But I am really open for suggestions.

Laptop Specs:
Acer Aspire 7750G
I7-2670QM @2.2GHz
8GB RAM
HD 6650M 2GB RADEON

Seeing as I haven't touched a console in over a year, I'll just throw out some PC games you can check out. You should be able to get some good deals during the Steam sale that starts today iirc.
Endless Legend is supposed to be really good. I haven't gotten around to try it properly myself though.
Cities: Skylines is the best city-builder in many years. Comes with mod-support as well.
Homeworld Remastered Collection: Another game I really ought to play more. I never played the original, so I probably would've been more hyped if I had.
Tropico 5: One of my favourite game series.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown: Not really my cup of tea, but everyone says it's really good. The sequal is out in February.
The Talos Principle is one of the best games of 2014 imo. Solid pick.
Banished is another city builder, but set in the medieval age. It's very unforgiving. When shit hits the fan, it sprays everywhere and spread diseases and everybody dies. Literally.

I have no idea what to put here... So I guess I'll just put this here.

I was gonna recommend Just Cause 3, but wingsuiting and parachuting around will probably make you dizzy as heck.

GemCraft Chasing Shadows is really good. It's a very unique Tower Defense game.
Epic Battle Fantasy 4 is fun and entertaining. It's a JRPG.
FTL Faster Than Light has an amazing soundtrack, and it's a difficult sort of RTS.
Resident Evil Remastered is one of my all-time favorites, I don't know how you feel about the old (or even the newer) games. RE Zero is coming out on January 19th, 2016. I'd recommend all the games because I do enjoy them a lot. So far only Zero, One, Four, Five, and Six are on PC. Revelations 1/2 is okay. Operation Raccoon City is decent at best though.
Goat Simulator... Only reason I bring it up is because it's really entertaining. Not sure if you'd be into it though.
The new Tomb Raider games are beautiful and fun to play.
You can always get Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. They're really nice RPGs.

Just some recommendations. Hope it helps.

Cool. I've played some of those games you recommend. I didn't get that far into Tomb Raider (Just barely made it to the antenna :P)

I like the RE games, I've played almost all of them.

I played some goat simulator when it was on beta but got bored after a while, it was nice, though.

Thanks. I'll get some of these, probably just cause 3. It's just FPS like unreal, cod and things like that that make me really dizzy.

wth is starcraft

It looks like you have a pretty big focus on multiplayer games, is that correct? The games I like are predominantly one player.

Not really, since it's usually hard for meto actually coordinate to play games with other people.

You'd think that because of SC2, D3, FIFA, etc. but I've just played their campaigns and nothing else and FIFA I haven't even played it. It's basically brand new. I've played 3 matches tops.

I enjoy the occasional SC2/SC multiplayer game but it's usually hard to get people and I am not competitive enough to do ladder.
I'd mainly just play alone so I'd appreciate your suggestions too.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Any UFO / XCom game is a sure way to spend fun hours gaming. The new "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" being quite different, but pleasing fans regardless, while being much more approachable for newbies to the series.
I've personally grown quite fond of Star Trek Online. Mainly because I love space ships and the game does space combat really well. You also have a near endless supply of story missions (both official and user content) plus optional PvP and PvE and dailies to pass your time with. *anyone wanna play together? PM me. :)
Same reasons as above I played the fuck out of Freelancer and especially the major fan mod "Discovery".
If you liked Freelancer you could take a look at Rebel Galaxy. It's rather new, but apparently not with big funding and as such restrains itself to the basics, which works surprisingly well. It's western themed music creates a lovely setting although the game becomes a unnecessary grind during midgame.
If you like starfighter combat, there's no simulation more fun than "Wing Commander: Prophecy". Challenging, fast paced, intriguing story, well designed missions and a thrilling sound track make it a special experience.
More in that direction offers the aged TIE-Fighter. It's got a couple of expansions, predecessors and successors that are all worth a look.
A rather unique RTS is "Star Wars: Empire at War". It's interesting that you have to manage both ground and space battles (tactical) and your planet network (strategic). The addon adds a 3rd faction.
I almost don't dare mention it: If you haven't yet, the Mass Effect trilogy is a must play.
Just like any existing Fallout title. (Lets forget about Fallout tactics for a moment)
Speaking of RPGs, the only title that really made me regret never having owned a console: Red Dead Redemption. Haven't played it but I know it rocks.
Pick one of the new Batman titles (e.g. Arkham City). They all play the same but playing just one title makes the repetitive gameplay tolerable. Other than that, they have nice settings characters and mechanics, and the fight and sneak elements are really fun.

A few honorable mentions: [reason]
Borderlands (all) [coop/fun]
Deux Ex (all) [stealth/shooter/upgrades]
Far Cry 3+4 [graphics]
The Walking Dead Ep.1-5 [immersion]
Silent Hunter 4+5 [realism]
Ur-Quan Masters HD (aka Star Control 2) [gameplay/adventure]
Dune [story]

already mentioned:
Tomb Raider
FTL
GTA V
The Last Of Us
Company of Heroes
Resident Evil
Knights of the Old Republic
Homeworld (meh. Fun but nothing special and too short)
