Hi, as the title states, I want to downgrade my starcraft to 1.15.1 (for obvious reasons). However SCD3 doesn't seem to recognize any patches loaded, even though I have the mpqs in the correct folder. The readme says to run a .bat file, except I can't find any .bat file included. How might one go about downgrading manually?

None.

Cartography Artisan

Install by CD then download 1.15.1 from a 3rd party source? (backup all your maps/mods in a second location of course).

You can just open the mpq of the version you want and extract all the files in to your SC directory. That's all the program does.
There was a better patcher somewhere, but I forgot the name of it ...

TinyMap2 - Latest in map compression! ( 7/09/14 - New build! )
EUD Action Enabler - Lightweight EUD/EPD support! (ChaosLauncher/MPQDraft support!)
EUDDB - topic - Help out by adding your EUDs! Or Submit reference files in the References tab!
MapSketch - New image->map generator!
EUDTrig - topic - Quickly and easily convert offsets to EUDs! (extended players supported)
SC2 Map Texture Mask Importer/Exporter - Edit texture placement in an image editor!

Nah, that's unrelated to Starcraft. Probably not really generally useful either.

in the OP it's clear enough he tried SCD3 (SCDowngrader 3) and it didn't work; so I'll add you to the laugh list :P

Is there a modern version anywhere that does work? Only for offline play is fine

None.

Notice how the file names and the patch numbers match up, and that there are 23 patches, and that the "count" value in the *.ini file is set to 23. These numbers match. Also, there is a particular name format for the patches.

Let's say you are trying to patch your StarCraft to version "1.15.1". You will need file "1.151.mpq" in your Data folder.

Now, go into your *.ini file, add a "xx=151" line, (where xx is an appropriate, consecutive number), and change the "count" value to whatever it is plus 1 (ex. 22 -> 23).

Now load up your patcher program. A new "loaded patch" should become available for "1.151".

... Or, as I said before, just get WinMPQ (or similar) and extract the mpq contents in to your SC directory. :P

I should've finished SCD4. It was way easier to use than 3, and way smaller (with every patch, SC & BW, from 1.00 to current).

Sure, but I quite like your program, so it's fine.
