Lol. And I'm back with a problem again.
So out of the blue, both WinMPQ and PyMPQ and suddenly decided that they don't want to add new files to my mod's MPQ anymore. Used to be a very quick and easy way to patch my mod EXEs but now it's suddenly not possible anymore. I can remove and replace files, but adding complete new ones is kaput. Not sure why. Even recompiled my mods with MPQCompactor and MPQDraft with the new files, but when I open up the new EXE in WinMPQ/PyMPQ, the new files are no longer there.
None.
1) If this is the MPQCompactor of old that automated creating an MPQ through WinMPQ, then totally forgo it. I distinctly remember that an issue with the script is that at a certain number of modded files, it will no longer correctly add and produce an MPQ.
That is to say: my best recommendation right now is to delete your current MPQ and start a new MPQ using WinMPQ (or PyMPQ) only. Eliminate MPQCompactor from your workflow entirely unless you only want to test very small *.dat changes. For any serious mod, do not use MPQCompactor.
2) If you are using FireGraft as a part of your workflow, then try to create and modify your *.mpq with your WinMPQ/PyMPQ and let FireGraft handle the MPQ inclusion. This may or may not work.

Case 1 will probably apply, not case 2.
Oh huh. I didn't know MPQCompactor was a pretty bugged-to-hell program. I made a MPQ manually with WinMPQ and all the files are loading perfectly. My friend, I could kiss you XD.
