I'm not sure if this will help anyone else with their cgminer problems, but my problem was apparently running the batch file as administrator doesn't work.

Trying some of these sites, I'm having one hell of an issue getting any doge. It did say I accepted 14 shares, but on the actual site, it still says Im inactive and havent done a thing. Is it common for these not to refresh for entire days?

Edit: Another question. when I use -I it says it is an unknown parameter in CGMiner. Dafuq is with that?

Newer versions of cgminer don't support scrypt. You need this one, or the one that is in the guiminer subfolder should work.

I have mine like (mostly copied from GUIminer's argument):

And once in cgminer you can press S (Settings) and then W (Write config file) and Enter (Default file name) to save the configuration settings so you don't need to run from a bat and can just run the EXE and edit cgminer.conf to adjust settings (although some settings, like intensity, can be adjusted from inside cgminer so you can, for example, turn down intensity when you actually want to use your computer xD).

At the current rate, 5000 doge is worth $3.30. This number depends entirely upon bitcoin, and is very unstable. Yesterday it was worth probably $5.

I'm using cgminer 3.1.1, and you definitely need --scrypt somewhere in the arguments for cgminer.

I just traded 1 mil doges for 0.8 BTC (bad deal, but DOGE exploded and I couldn't cancel my sell order because everyone was DDoSing coinedup and cryptsy).

D: How do you get 1mil? I still only have like 2500. I'm barely getting anything, and when I do it's minimal. I have two pools that are giving any sort of payout, and in an effort to try and see which pays more I am running for both... One has like 200 unconfirmed DOGE from my minimal contribution but rarely gets blocks, and the other has like 10 unconfirmed DOGE but always has blocks. Should I focus on the one that always has a small but guaranteed gain, or the one that has huge but infrequent gains?

EDIT: Actually, I just noticed the from one that rarely gets blocks I've gotten like 700 since last night, as opposed to the like 150 I got from the other pool.

Working now. However I'm at a low 300 KHs. Using my CPU, I can get 1.9 easy, with low temp usage, and play games at the same time. Using a ATI HD 7850 at the moment

I've been using it for a while now, everything seems to be legit, and I have some dogecoins on my "transaction" page, however I can't find anything about when the coins will actually get put into my wallet (I put my wallet address in my profile settings). Another problem with this site is that my worker is shown to be inactive (after 2 straight days of mining), even though the transactions tab seems to be live all day.

I used it for a little while, I didn't ever check the worker status so I can't answer that. It's actually the pool I was talking about where I'd only get a trickle of coins. xD

You need to go to My Account, and from there you can set the automatic payout threshhold, or on the right side you can do a manual cash out (for a fee, I think that one has a fee of 50).

EDIT:
I just looked, it says my worker is active. ;o I've been having that problem with some of my workers, though. They say they are accepting blocks but the site shows them inactive or sporadically active.

Yeah I'm fine with the trickle of coins as long as it's the same rate as all the others.

I think so. I think it's just the number of people connecting to them. It doesn't seem to affect mining, though.

I was using the coinedup.com pool, since it was the first one I found (based on rockz's post listing coinedup for exchange). The website is laggy as hell and it doesn't get blocks as often, but there are fewer people so each block seems to pays more (like right now I have about 180 doge unconfirmed, when on the others with loads of active blocks I only have like 10 or 20 unconfirmed).

Especially with us lower-power users, it seems to just be a trade off between joining a less populated pool and sometimes maybe making a more significant amount vs. joining a huge pool and always getting a tiny amount. In trying to determine what is best to just sit in I have a GPU worker on my desktop for one pool and a CPU Worker on the other (both seem to get about 7-14KH/s) and then I have cgminer set to cycle between the pools. Also with the more populated pools it's harder to get accepted things, I get significantly fewer there.

That looks better. Now I just need to find a reliable pool. This one is 'saying' I'd get 0.144 DOGE per day, which seems a bit low.

Now if that was BTC, I think I'd be a fairly happy guy.

D: I'm only getting ~80, and that's only if I set -I to the highest that works on my laptop (16) which also makes my laptop unusable.

The DogeCoin thing was cute. Other troll currencies won't be and only serve to ruin the novelty of it.

If there were something to invest in it'd be LTC. In a year or two the price will likely be much higher.

So I'm FAIRLY sure I'm good there finally. I can do I 16 over night, lower it to play games during the day. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a pool? I think I might have joined one thats fairly barren.

that's the problem with cryptocurrency. I got in when the difficulty was 30, ad now the difficulty is 340. First 3 days I made 1.5 million.

And it sucks too because when I first started (and was actually making anything) my roommate was claiming that the mining was making his internet not work, so I stopped for a few days.
