:payne:

It seems to happen randomly when I leave my computer running over-night. When I come back to "wake it up" from its sleep mode, it just doesn't seem to detect any mouse movement or keyboard inputs.
After bashing for a while on the keyboard, I either have to manually shutdown and boot the computer, or a BSoD happens.

Help?

Can't find any references to that error code so the usual:

- Ensure drivers are up to date (fixing these sort of things are what driver updates are for)
- Swap in alternate RAM if available or do a mem test to see if your RAM is faulty
- Ensure the computer has enough room to vent properly (sleeping computers aren't powered off)
- Uninstall new programs (that were installed near the time the problem started)
- Undo recent hardware changes ("")
- Use hibernate instead of sleep (control panel->power options) -- the salt packet under the table leg solution :)
- And (usually faster than ruling out all possible software issues) back up your files & re-install the OS (or if you have a separate harddrive/partition, try with that)

use bluescreenview to determine the cause of the bluescreen

How do I know which driver I should update? Is there a way to update them all at once?
Also, what is the hibernate mode? What does it change?

The bluescreenview gave me a lot of information, but I have absolutely no idea what it all means. :awesome:

bluescreenview should give you highlighted stop code for the bad .sys or .dll file. You can google that error and the name of the file and it will tell you what it is.

For example, igfx.dll would be intel graphics. I know for a fact that if you type certain words in certain programs (like "vitamins") the video driver will crash the computer. Using an updated video driver fixes this completely random seeming crash.
