hey there

so i played up to the first boss i was trying to find all the blueprints and materials i could to craft everything so far
i noticed u can only hold 4 of most of the items but alot of the recipes take 4 of 1item to craft so thats meens u will have to search for materials per item if u had alot of blueprints u wanted to make which is cool if thats how its intended hunting and mining is fun anyways
cant wait till u add those specials on the equips

really couldnt find many glitches so far its a pretty solid map

its pretty hard in the begining u can pretty much kill 1 ling before you die and dont even try to fight a hydra yet, but as soon as u get the first couple levels and spells you start rollin the spells make a big difference

i know its probally not how the finished project is planned but right now its eaiser to just die then go back and heal or use money on a herb

i did accidently use a weapon upgrade on armor and the whole thing went wacky i had to spam the 8 button multiple times and move the shuttle before i could get my menu back and even then it didnt work right until i put anouther point into dexterity and upgraded the correct one im sure that was intended tho to some extent

i tryed to glitch the mining by haveing my friend stand on the spot where i knew the minerals were comeing and i just kept going around mineing but we couldnt glitch it idk if u already had precautions set for that or if we didnt try enough but if u did your smarter then me lol

i had a question about double casting which i tryed to do i casted honed strike twice back to back i noticed it took my mana twice for honed strike but i couldnt tell if it just reset the lenght of the spell or if i had 2 sets of the spell running
thats only for certain spells tho u def want spells like just strike to be able to cast fast :P

u already know about the primary quest menu thingy

o and just a personal preference after you heal at the tavern i wish the scv didnt try to talk agian so i dont have to interact agian so i can just be on my way(i get cranky after a good rest :P)

and just from playin spellsword i know u could prob kill off the wraiths for honed strike faster unless u was wanting the spell to last longer and have more of a chance to target which is cool



dude thats really all i could come up with and i tryed haha first act is solid so far cant wait till u finish those quests really cant say enough good things the map is awsome
and the menu system is so EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC its got a echo :P

HOW SPELLS WORK

First you unlock the spell by levelling up:


Then you view the spellbook in the Journal:


Then you assign the spell to the hotkey of your choice:


Then you cast the spell using the hotkey you chose:


Additional spells and hotkeys are unlocked as you level up.

Yer uni has been a bitch, sorry. And I've also run into massive issues with the string limit.

Oddly enough I feel like I will have MORE free time when I start my new full-time job later this month.

But yeh keep checking the thread I will definitely be releasing an Act One segment at some point in the future. Beyond that I can't promise anything, however. It is looking like I will have to split my map up into 5 separate maps in order to get around the string issue. :ermm:

Woah, this map looks amazing. Hopefully you'll one day find time to finish it and work around those string limitations.

I'd be happy to help test with you if you ever release another update to the map. I'm limited by time constraints as well, though, so playing hours into an RPG map is tough for me to pull off these days. :P

How is this going ?

Are you still working on it ? I haven't tried it out yet but looks really nice and seems to have some good innovation ideas.

It's a pretty amazing example of what can still be done with SC1 :)

You sure made it damn incredible ! Like I already told you, I liked a lot of stuff in it :

Definitly a Good atmosphere

As soon as it starts, we are already immerged in it and want to play it. Controls may be a little complex and might also ask you several minutes to figure out how is everythng working.. But you eventually get used to it. And the tutorial is both great and useful ! I really liked this part which also makes the first impression of the map.

Also, there are so many small details (=big work) that remind us of the greatest RPGs we used to play and that greatly increase the map quality :

- Ambiance sounds (inside shops, taverns etc... door openings and other)
- Advanced interraction (you can interract with almost everything, including town's folks, stuff that appears randomly etc)
- Terrain and decorations (sprites..) are REALLY nice
- The inside of the builduings is excellent too : different characters do or say funny things as you just watch them ^^
- Whether you play it alone or with friends, the gameplay is really good and you never get bored
- Excellent text descritptions for everything ("They will throw everything at you and it won't be enough" :lol:) !
- And there is probably more

An interesting, deep and brand new story

You will quickly figure out there is a whole, complete story behind this game. An epic quest which is yet to be fully discovered :) There are also sidequests and you can explore whenever you want.

Also, I greatly appreciate the work you put on those three characters : each one has a storyline, a path to follow of his own (=different role) and unique abilities. it's great.


Combat

Combat is quoite impressive and very dynamic. Nothing linear in it. Enemies you encounter have their own abilities.. and they will use them on you !


Impressive Features

Haven't tested all of them yet, but here's some of what I saw :

- Cool day/night system
- A large gamma of items, equipement etc, along with a complete invetory system
- Interesting crafting system
- A large gamma of unique spells
- Huge number of interactions and interaction possibilities (this reminds of what you can do in original RPGs)
- Fitted sounds and music
- Cut scenes !
- ...

Can't enumerate them all at the moment but everything is great ^^

I'm definitly looking further to it.

Hey there.

I decided to follow the main quest and reached the part where you have to investigate a Wagon (and I'm not sure why but I killed all the merceneries that were next to it :/).

Anyway, how do you investigate the Wagon ? I tried to interact with it several times while being close to it but nothing seems to happen.

Or is there anything else to do ?


P.S : Great RPG map !

P.S 2 : Last time I talked to Oh_Man, he said the Act 1 is not far away from completion and that he just needs to add some side quests. And that next Acts will follow in new maps (due to the string limits).

Oh, and I just thought of something else.

While I was trying to interact with the Wagon (tank), the merchant guy from the store spoke his usual stuff ("Well don't just stand there, buy something!").

I kept a save file of my game.

Ah, there's a question I had about your spells since the first time we tested the map (yeah, I kept forgetting to ask about it ^^) : how will spell mastery work ?

Spell Mastery is like Diablo runes, you collect items and slot them into your spell, and it modifies/improves the spell in some way, albeit damage boost, mana reduction, or something else entirely. It won't be in act 1 though.
