For some reason my map won't load. I'm getting this error message...
Anyone know what that means?
None.

I am not sure if anyone ever found the problem that caused this, try resizing the map and condensing the terrain. A common thing amongst the maps that get this error is that they use a lot of differences in height like long/thin cliffs.
None.
I assume it means you've hit the region limit (which I don't know for a fact to exist).
RegionsHow I'd imagine it to go is: You click on the map -> Chk data is loaded -> Regions (and other meta data) is generated; and your map has enough oddly shaped terrain clusters such that more regions would be generated than their static data structure can hold.
Emphasis on the fact that it's speculation on my part that this error is related to regions and that regions are allocated statically.

This happens a lot on installation maps because people will make really narrow and intricate labyrinths, and SC decides to die when there are too many corners and shit.

Basically...
Don't do this, as this is what it means by corridors. Long strips are even worse. Use more water.
This on the other hand, will not cause the error.
None.
All right thanks guys, problem solved.
I changed this ...
to this ...
None.
This was a huge problem for my map and solving it is unintuitive at times, simply having extra free space at the edge of the map can help sometimes, or using non-isometric terrain and unpassable tiles to roflstomp any passable cliff tops that the isometric engine creates (as long as you can't see the ugliness anyway)
