We would like to inform employees of an incident that occurred late last night claiming the life of one of our long time employees, Lanthanide. A malfunction in a sorting device caused a metal comb to come loose and forcefully struck the victim in the chest, leaving three puncture wounds and severe internal bleeding. He was found dead this morning when the morning supervisor came to work. The 3rd Floor is closed for retooling and the OSHA action team is investigating the incident to provide a safer environment for employees. A five minute service will be held for the deceased at 11:55 AM. Punch and cookies will be available for purchase at this time.

If Devlin is mafia he's using the completely random lynch to try and convince the townies not to vote for him. It is a tactic the mafia would love to use.

But we have this lead, and I think we should take it. It sure beats doing nothing or randomly executing some person. Let's just analyze this for a second.
Suppose lil_inferno is mafia. We lynch Devlin who ends up being a townie, and then we lynch lil next. Bam, one mafia gone for just one townie, sounds like a good trade to me. And in the event lil_inferno isn't mafia and devlin is actually a townie, then we know the detective who fakeclaimed is actually mafia, and he can release his name and we can lynch him. Detective can investigate lil and find out if he's actually townie or not.
So we can kill lil_inferno, and take a 33% chance or whatever the odds that he is mafia, or we can lynch Devlin, and guarantee we'll get a mafia lynch out of it with a potential chance of setting up the town for success.

It seems a bit odd to me that Aristocrat is calling us the worst town ever, and then once a lead is found and someone wants to finally organize, he wants to kill them off. No further reasoning given, too. Not to mention, Devlin is using a bullshit excuse to try and get the person who's calling him out lynched. Although I can see that he's just trying to defend himself, the reasoning behind omginbd's lynch was that it's more beneficial for us to lynch someone at random who's inactive (and didn't even offer up a plea of innocence) than give the Mafia a free night to get a hit without anything being done.
Also, here's my role PM for anyone who doesn't believe I'm a townie.
The workplace has a strict policy on drugs and alcohol, but the assembly line guys never get tested. I mean, I suppose if you were holding onto the ground trying not to fall into the sky, someone would pull you aside eventually, but nothing's stopped you from bringing your trusty flask into work each day. You can't be the only Townsperson maintaining a buzz here, but maybe that's the booze talking.
