Can't really see much from that one screenshot but if your map does all that you say it will do then it will be epic!!!
Always so professional
Look forward to seeing this.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Frosty Blast...
As you can see, the effect is instant. The spell works by replacing nearby units with units that have been previously caught in Stasis Field (in a hidden area of the map). Then, whilst the real units are away, they are handed some direct scarab damage and after a few seconds, teleported back to their original place. This gives the effect of a 5 second Stasis Field without seeing an Arbiter.

MetalGear, that's a pretty creative spell. Well done.
Thanks, it was pretty trigger costly and time consuming. I'll be posting more updates & screenies soon

Nice, I assume you spawn a new unit of that type and then instantly kill it, if the original units died from the scarab damage. Trigger costliness is from having to check for each likely unit type in each area of the spell right?
Sounds like ice-crunching when the effect is on and glass-shattering when it wears off would probably be cool.

Smart, using pre-stasised units. The only disadvantage there is you can't carry over the damage dealt to the unit before it was frozen.
Hmm, actually, if you get the numbers right (scarab damage - unit health), you can calculate what health the original unit was on by counting how many scarabs are needed to kill the original unit, and then set the stasised unit to the appropriate health amount using modify HP trigger.
Eg. A monster has a max HP of 10. However, it gets stasised while its health is at 6.
Scarabs do 1 damage each, it takes 6 scarabs to kill the monster.
Therefore, set the other monsters health to 60%.

Very clever spell and it's nice to see the scarab damage system used in a map like this.
I'm actually thinking of getting CS on my computer so I can play all these awesome RPGs that are around these days... Good luck with the map!

Yeah TF-, basically everything you said is true.

Yeah no damage can be done during this time, but it only removes 3 of the units from the battleground, so if its a busy battle, there should be other units to attack. Also the damage is pretty epic on Frozen, deals more than physical attacks.
I actually tried a system like you mentioned in a previous map, using scarabs to detect the amount of health gone. It works quite nicely, but there is about a second delay when counting with scarabs (depending on how accurately you want to detect health gone.)

Yeah sorry about the delay, progress has slowed down lately since my uni schedule.
It is very nearly finished now! Just finishing the quests and boss fights. Currently the map has 17,628 triggers. You can expect a killer map once I'm done! I'll hopefully finish it in the next few weeks

Pumped for this, will definitely play it sometime after release.
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."
Okay guys, I'm about to release this map in the next 24 hours, finally!!! Can I get recommendations on the best map protector as of present?
P.S. Finished at 20,692 triggers! It's a must see!

Dude, congrats! I will livestream it.
Sen DLDB has some map protectors I wouldn't know which one to use though.
Tinymap 2 is pretty damn good.
