I am even more suspicious toward you because you are stubbornly dodging a vote to lynch an obvious Cylon.
No, I'm not voting to lynch based off of these simple clues. It's stupid that someone would consider these valid at all. They're too simple -- anyone could search for these and find them. If DevliN is posting clues, they won't be as easy as this to figure out.

And it's alright, payne, you won't get the chance to start a lynch. The mafia finally decided who they're gonna vote for.

And anti-vrael? I'm gonna call bullshit on this one. Yes, I'm not convinced by a friend of a friend's claim that you're not mafia. As for questioning any of your interpretations, I have done so, but it wasn't nearly bad enough for me to openly critique. Until this one. You're seriously going to lynch me because you think that DevliN would make a clue pointing towards someone's name, and because I'm anti-you?

Talk about clouded judgement. Oh well, might as well vote for myself, at least this way we won't accidentally lynch a power role.

EDIT: Oh, and Vrael, if you really take anything you're saying seriously, you'd know you're contradicting yourself. I led the lynch on Aristocrat, yet you believe the mafia is down to one hit per night due to his death. Just throwing it out there next time you want to make a bullshit bandwagon.

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

Quote from name:Stacy Keibler
Also, he changed his avatar mid-game. Posted about it, but still.
He changed his avatar every Day cycle for my game to make a point about it, so take that with a grain of salt; granted, he was mafia in my game, but that wasn't his motivation for changing his avatar.

Quote from name:Stacy Keibler
Seeing as there were no hits night 1, I think we got it right when we lynched Aristo. I know many of you probably believe this already, but I had to sit down and take the time to cross reference everything for my own peace of mind. This said, I believe the cylon killing power is down to 1 per night, plus a seductress, plus a mole, plus an unknown traitor. We may have gotten lucky and lynched mole or traitor already, but I kinda doubt it.
I don't think Aristocrat was a Cylon Hitman. No Cylon would have counter-claimed Demon and expect it to pan out in their favor, especially since the Scientist was alive at the time. It would be a dumb move, and the only reason Aristocrat counter-claimed would be for revenge for last game (something he said he wouldn't do), or because he thought someone else was trying to fake-claim with his role.

Based on Aristocrat's death (the way his character behaved was emotionless and robotic), he was a Cylon. This contradicts his early actions, however, as a Cylon wouldn't put themselves in the spotlight so hastily, especially on a counter-claim where one person has to be lying. Now, another interesting thing to note is that Aristocrat, starting after N1 ended, was insisting that either he or Demon was the Traitor (for balance reasons). Then the next night, he kills the Scientist (whether he knew Inferno's role or not); he didn't seem to talk to anyone about his target, so why would he take a stab in the dark? It's actually quite simple when you add it up.

The Cylons wanted to get rid of either Aristocrat or Demon, so they sent the Mole to try to incriminate Aristocrat (to get fake clues to come up in the night post, or on the chance the Scientist tests him), but instead woke him up as the Traitor. Now Aristocrat insisted that either he or Demon is the Traitor because he knew it to be true, and he wanted to look less suspicious by making this "obvious" assertion. When it came to N2, he couldn't use Paranoia anymore (since he loses the ability once he wakes up), so he killed a random Townie to help out his team.

I've ran the scenario in my head several ways, and this one makes the most sense. Aristocrat was a Vigilante and the Traitor, and was woken up on the first night. I checked with Devlin to make sure this was possible (since Aristocrat was jailed on the first night, I thought he couldn't be woken up as the Traitor; turns out the Mole can do it).

It should be noted that Aristocrat sounded willing to jump on my TiKels bandwagon on D2 in private, but for some reason he didn't cast his vote to try to save himself.

Looks like other people got through clue analysis already. I did notice, however, that there are a decent number of references to stars in this game. I know this takes place in space, but Devlin's previous game didn't seem to make these references. There are no physical stars in anyone's avatars, but Stacy Keibler, rayNimagi, and NudeRaider (I think?) have movie stars for avatars.

I have a feeling the goat segment is a clue of some sort (though honestly, it could just be clever/fun writing by Devlin); I couldn't think of anything on my own, but the tie to payne doesn't seem very plausible. I thought I was a genius for remembering this topic, but apparently nobody chose goat milk. (That topic made me decide to try almond milk, by the way, and it's actually pretty awesome. Vanilla almond milk and cereal were made for each other.)

It looks like the way you phrased your vote didn't count, poison, meaning you're tied with Kame still. And between the two of you, I have more reasons to vote for Kame.

I vote Fire_Kame.

CREW LOG \\ DEVLIN \\ 120512 \\ "Day 3" Transcript

<Recording start>

I remember it like it was yesterday, despite the hangover. [Laughing]

Fire_Kame looked out at the crowd of her peers, shaking her head. She expressed how disappointed she was in the rest of the crew. Alas she was found guilty by the tribunal and was soon led off to a nearby airlock. Before the hatch was sealed, she whispered something to the guard escorting her. I never was able to find out what it was, come to think of it. I should ask him someday.

Anyway, it was a weird day. I can't quite put my finger on what was so strange, though. Maybe it was just odd seeing another one go. How barbaric of us to to choose one person each day to send to his or her death.

Back* from the grave

Not happy about the lynch on Kame, but if it saves me for another day... Yay I guess?

Curious, anyone working with Kame, or voting alongside her? It seems odd that she'd whisper something to a guard. The "weird day" thing also has me lost. Aside from more people voting than abstaining/voting no lynch, anyone know how it was weird?

EDIT: Looking at the voting history, rather than going to sleep for my exam in a few hours, I compiled a final voting history for the living:

          Dem0n: No Lynch → TiKels → Fire_Kame
OlimarandLouie: Abstain → Abstain → <No Vote>
payne: No Lynch → Fire_Kame → Fire_Kame
Stacy Keibler: <No Vote><No Vote> → poison_us
Zycorax: Abstain → <No Vote> → Abstain
poison_us: Dem0n → Aristocrat → payne
TiKels: NudeRaider → Aristocrat → <No Vote>
rayNimagi: Dem0n → Aristocrat → Fire_Kame
GeneralPie: <No Vote><No Vote><No Vote>
NudeRaider: rayNimagi → Aristocrat → <No Vote>
Roy: <No Vote> → TiKels → Fire_Kame
Fire_Kame: Dem0n → <No Vote> → GeneralPie
BiOAtK: No Lynch → <No Vote> → poison_us

First thing that jumps out is there are four people who didn't vote. Assuming we got one mafia, that kinda makes me think that we may have the remaining mafia. The data doesn't really say much, though it is surprising that DevliN would include that bit about the day seeming weird and there just happens to be a bit of a gap in voting pattern here. But, again, I don't think DevliN would make a clue that gave away all the mafia, nor let it be this simple.

There is still a Recording Device. Devlin either used it as a clue against Kame, or as a way to write his posts, or both. :/

There is again references to:
- Alcohol
- Laughter
- Strange/Weird
- Whisper

"Barbaric" could very well relate to a gaming post (think of Diablo 3).

In all honesty, I find it kind of frustrating to be playing with such a blindfold. Not seeing whether or not we are killing townies or enemies mines my motivation. It gives me kind of a feeling of "playing for playing", though maybe it's just because I do not enjoy/understand all the meta-play surrounding this game. :(

Okay, I've been patient. You aren't going to tell me what this is for? Hello? I'm assuming someone is behind that mirror. Are you getting a kick out of this? Watching me sit here, answering endless questions. I'm not talking until I get some frakking answers.

INTERVIEWER:
And then?

[TC 09:14:02;11]
And that's it. It was frakking weird. They stared and stared, and eventually they each went their separate ways. That was all. One of them was hot, too. The other one was just some sweaty guy. Seriously, the whole thing was just odd. Shortly after that I saw someone hauled off to jail. Just like the first time, I have no idea what the cause was.

[TC 09:15:18;20]
Clearly I have been. I don't even really know why I'm here anymore. This started as random questioning, and now what? You practically have me locked in here.

They kept telling me, "You will be required to do wrong no matter where you go. It is the basic condition of life, to be required to violate your own identity." That thought haunts me. I am classed as biologically unacceptable, a menace to the pristine heredity of the race. Once pegged as special, a citizen. I ceased, in effect, to be part of mankind.

My schedule for today lists a six-hour self-accusatory depression.

Who spilled these stars across the sky like sparkling dust, like clouds of light? They pour their milky shine into the deep black bowl above their heads. White, glittering, too many to count.

I do dream, despite what they tell me.

It now looks like I got Kame lynched for no good reason.
Sorry. :(

EDIT:

Key-words:
- Interviewee/Interviewer
- Recording
- Strange/Odd/Weird
- Lock/Airlock
- See/Observe/Look/Stare
- Stars/Dreams/Poesy
- Alcohol/Hungover
- Goats
- Sweat

Last post contained the word "Interviewer", which has been changed to "Interviewee" in this one.
There are once again references to dreams.
According to some Acronym thingy, "TC" stands for "Time Charter". Not sure how that helps, though.
And I can't figure out all those numbers. No idea what the older TC repeating value refers to. And all those file numbers, I tried to read in order of their number certain posts from Devlin, and it doesn't seem to make much more sense (for example, 112812 appeared before 112912, yet reading them in their "numbered order" doesn't provide much information). I thought the skips through recordings could be related to the jumps between those numbers, but no luck.
I then looked into the released clue analysis of Devlin's last game: he used numbers to refer to Post Numbers, or Shouts Numbers (no idea how to get those). I tried a few things like http://www.staredit.net/120712/, but it didn't give me anything relevant.

Quote from Night 1, #112812
At one point security arrived to send someone to the brig, but I didn't really catch why.
Quote from Day 2, #120212
Soon after, we watched in silence as officers came in to to take him away. He looked back and smirked at us. Of course I didn't know what it meant at the time, but now it makes sense. [Laughing]
Quote from Night 2, #120112
You know come to think of it, there was one guy in the corner of the room drenched in sweat. He looked scared as he was tightening his vest. [Laughing] As if someone would outright shoot him in such a public place, right?
Quote from Night 2, #120112
[Sighs] I, uh, remember seeing that same guy talking to someone else earlier that day. At the tribunal. Someone who didn't make it. Maybe that's why he was sweating? I don't know.
Quote from Night 4, #120712
They stared and stared, and eventually they each went their separate ways. That was all. One of them was hot, too. The other one was just some sweaty guy. Seriously, the whole thing was just odd. This looks like something quite relevant. But as usual, I can't find what it is referring to. >_>

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Apparently there's 2 remaining cylons. 1 Hitman and 1 Seductress. They were both targetting the same person, which was untargettable for some reason.
Could be either crewmember dodge or that person got jailed.
The jailing definitely did happen that night, but it seems unrelated to the above, so I assume some crewman successfully dodged. GJ.

Dec 7 2012, 3:35 pm payne Post #299

:payne:

:nude:, can you describe your avatar please?

Also, Olimar's:

And BioAtk's:

BioAtk's signature: "Fat."

The two men staring weirdly could refer to Olimar's avatar. One of the man also has a vest.
BioAtk's avatar/sig could be related to "sweating". Not too sure about that, but I believe obese/fat people sweat more than average.

I unfortunately am leaving until Sunday. I would most probably have casted an "abstain" vote until someone found something relevant, but since I won't be here for a little while, I'll vote for Olimar.

Also, before leaving, let me mention two things Devlin used as clues in the last game:
- Short sentences in which you can write the name of someone if you pick the right letters from each word, from left to right.
- "Wow, that looks like a 1994!": the "wow" refers to the game World of Warcraft, and the number to a list of items that were somehow linked to certain players. I tried to apply that to the "TC", but it didn't work out as well as I expected.

There is something hidden in those file numbers, just gotta figure it out!
And that change from "INTERVIEWER" to "INTERVIEWEE" is suspicious. Someone should investigate.
Oh, and don't forget about those repeated TC numbers from the other post. I thought it referred to some time travel, but it looks like it's a bit far-fetched.
