MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN3RPG A third installment in the Middle of the Ocean franchise, in production for Oh_Man's 2012 RPG Event contest. My goal for this map is to focus a lot more on the 'fun' aspects of play (spells, boss battles, firing system), while still maintaining the non-linear, atmospheric RPG that has worked so well in the past.
SPECIFICATIONS
Players Single player only.
Map Tileset Jungle
Map Size 256x256

Niice. But what the hell is going on the sound in that video??? There is a setting called STEREO MIX it allows you to record sounds from your computer without needing a microphone.
Very neat trick having a spell that creates that doodad - never seen that before!!
lockpicks break and u gota buy them more then 1 time
Maybe lockpicking could be done with a minigame, with harder locks being more difficult. Losing the minigame could result in breaking a lockpick. That way it's not every lockpick that breaks, but it's also not just random either.

The Elder Scrolls V: Middle of the Ocean 3. Haha, but kidding aside it's a good idea. Seems like a good way to make lockpicking less... boring.

This could be a good minigame for lockpicking.
The little green 'dot' moves back and forward across the slider, you have to interact (move scourge) when it is in the yellow section. At the same time, there is a countdown timer going down so you don't have too long.
You can modify difficulty by changing the size of the yellow area, or by increasing/decreasing the speed of the moving green 'dot'. You could also modify difficulty by making it so they have to successfully interact on the yellow multiple times in a row, as opposed to just once.
Random idea about random spells. Make spells charge randomly from a given pool. Player can't choose a spell but he knows what spell is charged and can skip it to wait for a cooldown when a next random spell will be chosen.

Oh_Man shouted: yeah i'm tryin to go through all the greatest hits and get the runs up on youtube so my senile ass can appreciate them more readily
You should do my Delirus map too; it's a little cocky to say but I still think it's actually just a good game lol

Ultraviolet -- Oh wait, no I saw something else. It was more melee style, and guys were doing warpgate shit and morphing lings into banelings (Infested terran graphics)
