Hey everyone, I was wondering what the best way is to capture gameplay from starcraft to a video. I tried Camstudio, it crashed. So I got screen-cast-o-matic. That worked, but didn't capture anything when Starcraft went into fullscreen mode. So, I downloaded ChaosLauncher for starcraft, to load it in windowed mode. My problem with this is that it is impossibly laggy. Is there some sort of way to convert a replay to video?
None.
Have you tried FRAPS? From what I remember that's what most people use for gaming in general.
None.
FRAPS is good, but you can't record your desktop to fullscreen starcraft simultaneously. You have to stop fraps, run Starcraft, and then start fraps again. I think Growler Guncam can record everything in one go, but I'm not sure how great its quality is.

Growler Guncam is excellent, but it only exports to JPG after a 30 day trial. That's not a problem for me, as I just composite the JPGs together in Blender, but it might be a problem for you. Of course you could buy it.
Red classic.

You could just use a Hypercam.. But I've used FRAPS before and it works pretty good. Growler Guncam seems to have some pretty shitty quality just saying..
