It turns out that you can't create more units than there are empty indexes within a single cycle, even if you are removing the units along the way.
Identifying Index IDsAs an additional note, CCMU occurs when the game attempts to create a unit, but there are no available indexes. It doesn't matter how many units there actually are, only how many indexes are available. An example would be taking a map with no units, creating 1700 units, then removing all of those units. Since the indexes don't become available until the end of the trigger cycle, attempting to create any more units during that trigger cycle will result in CCMU, even though there are no units on the map.
I lol. 1700 is a strange number, they were probably having performance issues around there during release :s

Barely made any progress. At this point, I know I can't finish the current project by the deadline. I'm gonna probably abandon it and start a simpler project from scratch.

Added a little terrain, area changes and got Y scan working.
I Pre-OS mapped it so that its openable in SCMdraft. This breaks a couple things when played in Starcraft, unfortunately.

Whew, finally finished the primary technical system! Compresses to 664kb or so, can cut out around 110kb by upgrading coordinate detection, either way i'll have to live with a fairly large map.
