Who is still modding SC1? I know pronogo might be. I know I myself am pretty much done with it, though there is still one thing I wish I could make before I permanently break from SC1 modding. (Chaces are, it won't happen, and Peace is Deviation was the last mod for me to have worked on.)
I know that one Xelnaga dude who recently posted in Modding Assistance might still be active too.
Are the Koreans still modding this shitty old game?
Any thoughts on how modding came along anyway?
Personally, I'm very glad to have found modding. It produced many years of enjoyment and frustration. Burnt a lot of time with it.
I believe there are still some Korean modders. I stopped all BW related stuff with AO, personally. I mean, there's a few things I wished I could have done, but none worth it (campaigns).
If it weren't for Starcraft, I wouldn't be alive right now. I owe the last 11 years of my life to Starcraft. I shit you not.
Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.
yes i'm still here
.I understand that this game is little obsolete, and if want to make trully impressive projects i should go to the new imba engine like that of SC II.
May be i will do that, in future...
But for now i want to make sure that my 9 years of starcraft playing and races balance study will not go in vain.
Currently im working on my project wich will merge all the best from starcraft, broodwar, starcraft 2 to make first starcraft even better.
Btw, few minutes ago i've succesfully transfered SC 2 Command Center "transport units" ability to 1 SC.It works very much like dropship with one exeption: CC can load/unload units only when it is landed.
Give it a try!

None.
I have yet to see anything truly impressive in sc2; the bar is enormously higher with something like that. So, take your time.

I like to call myself a modder, but in reality I manage, what, one hour of work per week? And that's only if I don't (as I usually do) feel supremely lazy and decide to just put it off indefinitely.
As for modding as a whole...don't regret doing it one bit, and it's actually taught me a great deal about the intrinsics of StarCraft.
I think Pr0nogo still does some modding work.
None.
I still make GRPs from time to time. So I'd say I'm more of an available resource than an active modder.
I am Aristidis Spatharakis, and I am a modder.
None.
All right you punks, I know you're there.
I'm doing a headcount again.
People that I know are still modding:
That new dude working on that weird mod
Biophysicist
Pr0nogo
AngelSpirit (I guess? He still lurks apparently)
I might be jumping back in for a final stand. There is unfinished business to attend to, and I will finish it.
maybeIn addition to a headcount, I also need more information on any modding communities OR websites OR sections OR WHATEVER that still exist. Any. Korean ones, Spanish ones, idgaf.
Also, look at this shit:
http://www.moddb.com/games/starcraft/mods Most of those first few entries are incredible. Holy fucking shit. Those Koreans or Germans or whatever are really modding it up. I need shit like this, contact details, etc.
It seems like they're doing all of this good shit, while we North Americans (<-guess) sit around with our thumbs up our asses. We need to do some innovative and/or inventive stuff. Fuck.
Thank god we had AofST gift us with the GPTP, and SF with all the shit she did, and BSTRhino, and IskatuMesk, and so on, or we'd have literally no bragging rights over these motherfuckers.
COME ON, WE NEED TO PUMP OUT GOOD SHIT.
Thanks to Biophys I plan on making a project that revolves around creating and reading from a game cache (think War3 campaigns) in Brood War. Plugins can do you wonders.
If we can all collaborate on that shit I think that'd be stellar. After the next month's Crescendo contest I'll post a project thread, if you are interested.
In my experience, Korean/EU scenes are always superior to American ones when it comes to custom content. It's because there's more people interested in long term projects. I think it has to do with the overall mindset in regards to this sort of thing, but it's a very obvious trend when you've slept around as much as I have.
I can't respect someone who uses moddb in this day and age though.

You happen to be correct; I still lurk. As is probably evident though, I rarely post or get involved in any way.
There's still a few projects that I would really like to finish and/or start, but I have no motivation nowadays. Oh well.
