Well. To start with, a little basic information:

I am a female, sixteen years old, and I live in this little (Not so little, really,) country called Argentina, which is located at the southern tip of South America. I play StarCraft BroodWar, and I have a tiny knowledge of mapping (tiny with most people as a reference, in actuality, I never made a regular-working map, but this is simply because the triggers and conditions didn't satisfy my expectations, of course, when I found out about EUD, this changed,) I started to play when I was about ten years old, and I used to always lose against the computer, I didn't even have an internet connection at the time. I stopped playing when I was 11, for I moved away from my father, and his computer, which I used.. I began playing again four months ago, so some noobishness is to be expected, yet, I know what I am doing, I can macro, rush and stuff like that.

My name is xKanade (Internetwise, including Battle.net) and Danielle, in reality, also known as the real world.

My only project is to "revive" Phantom maps, which seem to have lost popularity. I found out about them a few weeks ago, and I was fascinated with the concept, and puzzled about the little amount of people that actually play it. I normally host games on the US West gateway, normally at night (here,) let's say.. From 9 pm (GMT) to 11 pm (GMT, too) and then from 3 am to 4 am. It's a long time, I know, I can only manage it because I'm a nocturnal person xD. I'll try to spend as much time as I can, here in the forum, but that will vary, for I do a lot of things with my time (Mostly sleeping. xD)

My hobbies are:
Chatting around all day like a lazy.. Like a lazy person.
Sleeping.
Playing Chess.
(I'm sure you don't really care about this. I don't know why I'm writing it.)
Playing StarCraft.
Mapping like a noob. o:
Photoshopping stuff.

Very much thank you, good sir, and I just like the concept because it reminds me of a card game I used to play, one called the Mafia. But now you've made curious. I mean, what a ghost appeared to them or something? Or were they just annoyed because everyone was playing the game and they didn't like it? :S

Reviving old maps is the first step in learning how to map, really. You look at what people have done and you try to improve on it.
It is rare to see newcomers still mapping for SC1. If you need any help, just ask in the mapmaking assistance thread.
Also, you photoshop, that's good.

To be honest, I'd rather not 1v1 anyone, until I polish my rushing skills, for most people use them, and while I don't find it fun, it'd be worse than boring if I don't do it. I'll try US East, then, it doesn't really make a difference respecting to latency, really, since I'm so far away.

@Melee: Rushes will only get you so far; they can be countered, and then... Then you're in trouble... (Of course, you can't wait too long, either... >.> That's... Why Jack keeps beating me... I time my attacks wrong and he either has many Zealots and Dragoons and stuff, or I'm already dead. >.> ) I mean, rushes are sometimes important, but there are other things you'll need to learn that are probably more important... Uhm... I think? I'm not good at melee... But... This is what I've observed from my own games... ...If that counts for anything...

I suck at melee too. The only person I can reliably beat is my friend Aaron who, among other things, finds Siege Tanks boring, considers having more than eight SCVs per base "too many" (because there are typically eight mineral patches, iirc), uses Firebats instead of Marines because they're "cooler", and thinks that lifting everything in case of attack is a viable strategy if he has a bunker. ...His P play is even worse, and the one time he tried Zerg he, well... Didn't build any extra Hatcheries for the entire (short) game. ...But I haven't managed to beat anyone else, ever, iirc.

...The midget wrestlers thing is just... Odd. But most people I know are. >.> ...Including, well... Me.

More importantly than anything these people have to say, DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TANGO!?!?! If you're from Argentina and don't know how to tango I might explode.
