I'm not a scientist, so it isn't that I can speak on any great expertise on any subject.
But there are some "theories" that I find intriguing. I can't say I believe any of them. But I can't rule it out entirely because I don't know enough about the subjects to choose beyond a doubt to believe any one day.
Anyways, I know some of you are more involved with science, history, geology, etc. so you might have your own spin or view of things.
But are there any theories that people think are completely out there that you find might have some validity? Here are some common conspiracies:
If you have other videos or links please tell me and I'll post them here. I know this seems a lot like a "toast your youtube" thread but I used youtube because its easiest to find virus free inforation on the conspiracies. Although the language is loaded (like anything with jesse ventura, for example), I hope you'll put your critical thinking caps on. The topic of discussion is what conspiracies have you heard do you find validity in them, etc.
I know I trust these guys, I can certainly see why anyone would zealously defend them and their reports and the raw data they have previously released with their promise it is accurate. I mean some organization with no ability to be manipulated or reason to be impartial investigated them at some point, clearly they are above anything underhanded or deceitful.
I'm glad I'm not one of those sheep that considers the possibility the data has been skewed in any way at any point in time, that any data has even been purposely misrepresented by another human being, or that our inferences based on that data could be inaccurate to an unknown degree.
I'd hate to be one of those idiots. It's so empowering to know everything that is and will ever be with total certainty.
My grandmother is a firm believer in pretty much everything you listed. Like, hysterically serious. She also believes in conspiracies regarding hospitals and doctors "farming" money out of people (with half of the diseases being man-made or at least controlled entirely by healthcare to suck money out of people), and has cycled through about a dozen iterations of what will happen in 2012, currently settling in aliens who have "bases all over the planet because their planet is dying". You couldn't find enough tin foil on the planet to protect her.
I personally think all of them are ludicrous but I've no care to argue with people about it, so I just smile and nod.
Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.
There are better things to do than watch uneducated peoples distort facts and outright lie to confirm ill-conceived beliefs formed on speculation and irrationality.

Here's what I think.
I think it is good to watch people distort facts, especially ones that are indisputable. It builds critical reading and thinking skills.
the HAARP one might be interesting, as well as the hologram thing. I know that the hologram thing about relegious stuff is quite possible technically. im not sure about the HAARP thing in particular because i dont know how much long wave electromagnetic wave will he ionosphere reflect. Knowing that would settle the matter. If its able to reflect huge amounts, its still good besides probably being uneconomic, since noone would notice it besides hobbiist who still use longwave radio. (but they notice storms as well, so wouldnt suspect).
