So I know for a fact most terrain blends and ramps and things have already been made with not much new to put out. But I was wondering what flack I'm going to get for using those blends in my RPG? Its not like im going to copy/paste terrain from one map to the next, I wish to implement those blends into new arrangements just for the sake of having my map look nice. I will give credit to whoever made the blend, but how do I do this in a fair manner? Thanks

As a rule of thumb I'd say when a map isn't protected it's safe to assume that the author has nothing against someone reusing parts of it. Give a credit like "Terrain parts from [map] and/or [author]" and you're fine.
When the map is protected I'd try to contact the author and ask him for permission. If this isn't possible you should recreate it (no copypasta) and, if you want to be nice, give a credit like "Idea from: XXX".

I do wish to give credit, but I downloaded this terrain pack from here that is unprotected. I just don't know who created it, it has each tileset plus an 'other' section that includes 3-d buildings. I would like to know what download this is so i may credit the correct person. Thanks for helping me understand =)
EDIT: could this be falk's pack?
It has like folders for each tileset correct? If so I think it is Falk's, I have the exact same one
None.
The SC1 community needs to embrace OS thinking if it wants new map production, or it'll keep dieing. Go for it and don't look back.
Methods and terrain can be copied. Duplicating map components is completely acceptable and not protected under the map stealing clause. We'll even help you do it.
