Why so expensive?

I have always had a pretty high level of astigmatism my entire life, but I did my absolute best to lie and cheat my way out of getting glasses until I really needed them (joining the military) and now I wear them because to be honest, the further it gets, let's just say it starts looking like a kaleidoscope. I think that I am a lot more blind than I admit though, after hearing other people talk about how they see without glasses.

I would get contacts, but no insurance and broke.

Lastly: Wow, a lot of people here wear glasses. Go figure.

@Az: So they are no different than the contacts I get that are no more than $20 a box? This video doesn't say that they are in any way different.

It's a good thing I don't need glasses or contacts, I don't think I could get used to wearing them.

I use to wear glasses and contacts but I got LASIK eye surgery to correct them. Best surgery I've ever had.

The first ten seconds are a picture of one of the lenses, which is not what normal contacts look like.

It also says they are "hybrid lenses" in the video title.

Why is any of that necessary?

I wear glasses, contacts, and go without. Generally if I'm watching TV or using a PC I wear glasses, if I'm out and about or playing sports I wear contacts, and if I'm just chilling I go without.

Some hip new thing called keratoconus. I hear all the kids are doing it.

Probably could use glasses but my vision is good enough that I don't need them.

I normally wear contacts. However as I am writing this I am wearing my glasses because I have pink eye/some stupid eye irritant side effect from the 3 week virus I caught.

Also, yes, glasses. I wore contacts for a semester, but they started irritating my eyes, so I switched back. I think I look better without them, so I may go for surgery in a few years.
