Hey again guys. Do you know to make workers remote mine? I've seen it in some maps where they stay by the minerals and it still gets money to the nexus/command center/hatchery. Please let me know, thanks.

I can't think of a way to do it without EUDs.
None.
Just move the worker(using triggers) to a location that's outside the map's boundaries. He won't be able to move but he'll be able to mine and build at a distance.
None.
It also works for places where ground units can't go to... do what he did except the location can be water or place units can't access.

There was also some trick involving an Arbiter's recall ability, but I can't (ironically) recall how to execute it. That's for mining from far away or to a place you couldn't reach via ground, not for returning resources, though, which I assume is what you're trying to do.

1. Place Arbiter on unwalkable terrain.
2. Issue the order to the worker.
3. Cast recall on the worker.

It is for returning resources too. It is the exact same as moving the unit to a location that is blocked.
Pretty sure it is nearly the same code that causes it. It's possible that there are other occurances with different orders as well.
This also works for remote shield-charging (using batteries) or command center infestation. It's the same.

- Move to harvest minerals (will harvest where standing)
- Move to harvest gas (will teleport to the geyser)
- Return cargo (will immediately return)
- Recharge shields (will recharge immediately)
- Infestation (will teleport to command center)
- Move to continue construction (has three states, float while moving/float&move while constructing/stopping and constructing)
Okay, guys thanks for the help. I'll test it out and let you know how it works. But in order for it to mine on the location with water, how do I detect that it is mining? I just constantly have it being moved to water? Also, how do you make a disconnect banner? And about mine dragging with zerglings, is there a map with that in it? Like a micro-type version map?

You can't.
If there's a map with mine dragging by utilizing Zerglings, it's probably unintentional. Closest thing I can think of is The Banning Game, which uses Civilians but mine dragging is a common tactic to weed out enemies.

huh?
Do you mean a flag that crashes your sc when you click it? Just give it to extended players (13-255). Some might be stable so try another if it doesn't work right away.

What I think he meant is like a defeat or victory banner, but one that says "You have been disconnected." It happens after the game would normally end if the player lost their connection to Battle.net midway through.
I'll post a map with the disconnect banner here. It's a Korean map, but you use the dragoon to kill a zealots for someone and then it ddrops them.

You don't need to post it, the map is using EUD desync. It will ban the player by dropping them from the game.
I would explain how it works and give you some example triggers, but I have to get off for a bit. I'm sure someone will have the time to help you properly, and if not, you can always do a search for "EUD desync".
Actually, I took a second to do that, this might help:
http://www.staredit.net/topic/10381/I didn't have time to read it but I'm sure something helpful will be in there. I noticed it works off text detection, which isn't necessary to use, but it gives you a starting point as to how this kind of system works.
Edit: Looks like you ninja'd the map in. I'll take a look at it when I have more time, but I'm sure that an EUD desync banning system is what you're talking about.
I didn't do anything to the map, I cannot unprotect it lol. It is too sophisticated for me.

The word "ninja'd" is a term mostly used online which usually refers to the circumstance of new content relevant to a reply being added to a discussion between the time that the replier last updated the discussion and when they make said reply. This phenomenon normally takes place during the time in which the reply is being typed.
In this specific usage, I was referring to the fact that I said you didn't need to post the map, but you edited the map into your post while I was typing that reply.
As for the rest of my post, it is still a valid response to your inquiry, since the map is irrelevant to it.
Could you do the EUDDesync thing that you were saying you would do earlier? You said you had to go so you couldn't complete it.

This covers exactly what you want to accomplish. Or, if you'd like, I have a map with a similar banning system set up. I'll attach it to this post.
If you're interested in learning more about EUDs, I wrote an extensive tutorial about them here:
http://www.staredit.net/topic/14226/. The banning system being discussed here is using the desynchronization effect, which I describe in
Section 5 of the tutorial.

Let me check, and I'll get back to you after school. Thanks Roy.
