Confused the fuck out of me how they mapped the dual wields to the opposite keys. Swapped that shit back around.

I rocked up and there was a dead giant and a party of people called "Companions". She then started berating me for not helping her kill the giant I was like 'damn girl I just got here!'.
So I decided to reload to a previous save and ran straight to the giant and sure enough it was alive and I just barely got some hits on it before it died, giving me a different message from the Companions.

It seems that my beast computer has such huge draw distances that events are starting and finishing way off in the distance before I even get to them!!

That has nothing to do with your "beast" computer... I'm playing on the xbox, and that exact same thing happened to me. They killed the giant before I could even get close to it.

I'm a fucking werewolf and I own shares in the slaver industry. One annoying thing however, when you're a werewolf it forces you to fight in 3rd Person Mode. Either that, or it's glitched out because I went into 3rd person mode while the cinematic was happening. It's useful overall, since you can pick up and throw people and bash there skulls in... but most of the fighting (as a werewolf that I've done) has been in little dungeons and bandit hide-outs, so the camera just goes apeshit. I also wish they would make the hitboxes on certain important things a little larger... trying to 'feast' on a Skeever corpse because your were-blood is about to go frenzy-time is surprisingly hard when people are shooting arrows at you.

Also, about the console-interface. Just don't move the mouse, use the scroll wheel to select what you want and then hit enter. It seems to conflict with what item/spell you want when the cursor is there AND the mouse wheel is cycling through them.

I'm level 18-ish now. Went with sneaky Argonian archer, just like in Oblivion. I just joined the Thieves' Guild and am currently enjoying the relatively wide selection of side quests they offer.
One thing that has annoyed me a little is the lockpicking. On medium and hard locks I often break the lockpick as soon as I tap the button to test the initial position.

As for the menus and stuff, I was already used to using Tab to bring it up from Fallout, but using it to close windows feels a bit awkward.

Just another reason to play it on PC or buy one of those cords that lets you plug your XBox to your PC screen. My 24" screen is a lot better than my old 28" TV!
Also, afaik there's no mods for consoles.

And yeah smaller screens ftw. I'm playing on my 21.5" monitor in 1080p.

They removed all the lame-wad skills. Like mysticism, acrobatics, athletics and a couple others that were so lame I've forgotten them.

@Zycorax - your lockpicking skill goes up on attempting - so even if the pick breaks your skill still improves. You can actually here the pins raising and falling if you've a steady hand. Afaik - improving the skill only widens the range at which the lock will open slightly before snapping your pick. So it's like 0.5mm accuracy on a Master lock if you're a beginner, any where outside that sweet-spot the pick will immediately break.

Also - I havn't joined the theifling guild yet, is there a sort of fence to whom I can sell all my stolen loot? Got about 20,000 worth of jewellery stashed in my house that no vendors will trust. And my speechcraft skill will never be high enough to unlock the perk that lets me sell stolen stuff to anyone

The encounter rate is so much better than in oblivion. Last night I was rolling an orc archer (for lulz) and something or someone always comes up. And it's not even annoying cliffracer mode. Sometimes it just harmless animals which is great because that fulfills my Hunting fantasy with bows.

I love archery so much ;A;
