Obviously, what I am saying is that we were originally banking on a plan that would have completely avoided all of that, and caused the town to get even more destroyed than they ended up being this game.

And what I'm saying was that unless you deployed this plan for everyone on your team prior to the end of Night 2, I still would have had a formidable list based on behavior. In fact, a rush to publicly organize such a plan would probably just help me see what's going on. Sorry, but I'm not convinced.

He is getting what you're saying. I think what you're missing is that he suspected you and would have continued to suspect you regardless of the investigation.

Based on behavior, it was pretty clear that you were Mafia. Last game you jumped to conclusions and accused random people of being Mafia when they weren't. This game you kept telling people not to jump to conclusions and didn't really accuse anyone. If I was playing, I would have voted for you immediately because of that. I think what makes Roy such a good Mafia player is that not only does he look for clues, but he studies how people act and react, and for most players that is a dead giveaway.

Yay... Roy's Mafia is the probably the best balance of clue difficulty (not too easy not too hard). But devlin did a very good job balancing this game.

I have 11-hour class days and I'm an academic coach for 76 students. I'd love to host again, but I would definitely be unable to keep it as fast-paced and detailed as I normally would. If neither you nor Azrael are willing and able to host a game, and if nobody else is willing and able to host a game, I can host a stripped down version of my regular mod (i.e., less roles and no characteristics), but I'd prefer to not be responsible for hosting until my schedule loosens up (about four weeks from now).

When I claimed the next spot originally, I had added "Aristocrat can go before me if he's able to host Death Note mafia at that time."

Since he is not, and Roy is also unable to (and few other hosts could manage it), I will simply be going on to host my mafia game.

Why didn't you guys lynch Azrael? I thought I made it blatantly obvious that he was a cylon. I was talking with NudeRaider and he said I made a bad case; clearly he was right. So I want to know, why wasn't anyone convinced?

It wasn't that you made a bad case, it's that you made it at the wrong time. If you had bit your tongue for a little while, you wouldn't have died that night, and then you could have made your case at the start of the next lynch. I'm sure you could have gotten me lynched if you'd done that (which was partially why I killed you).

If you were sure, your best bet would have been to publicly claim that you were sure I was innocent, in order to ensure you weren't framed or hit that night. Then you'd want to have your text wall ready for when the night ended, preceded with an explanation that your previous claim was entirely false, made only to ensure you lived long enough to expose me properly.

It would have given you that much more time to flesh out your argument against me, and Devlin may have dropped another obvious hint, thinking no one had picked up on the previous ones which you had already found.

In short, it was less about what you said, and more about when you said it.

That and my random voting which ultimately made the town lose lol.

It depends. It is only best for the Town to know information if knowing that information benefits them. You were looking at it from the point of view of a Townie giving helpful information to other Townies, however you need to look at things from the perspective of other players in order to strategize properly. From their point of view, it was a possible Mafia giving possibly misleading information to Townies. There was no way that your post would carry any weight by the next day unless you were there to bring it all back up again.

You publicized the information right after a known Mafia had been bandwagoned, there was no way you were going to get me lynched. All you succeeded in doing was making yourself a target and giving me ample time to dismantle your proposed evidence. I explained your findings in a way that gave reasonable doubt to your claims. By the time the next lynch came around, enough time had passed to ensure no one would take your post seriously. I said you were wrong, I was framed, and the Mafia killed you to make me look guilty. That was enough.

Had you done the exact same thing at the beginning of the next lynch instead, people would have voted with you, and you'd have gained support from people that believed you were correct. The reason this didn't happen was because of your timing, you posted it at a time when no Townie could possibly be benefited by openly supporting you, the night hits were about to start so all they could accomplish was getting themselves killed. Riney did what he could to try to protect you, but unfortunately for you he was simultaneously seduced.

Of course, protecting you shouldn't have been necessary, posting that information right when the night was about to start was foolish at best and suicide at worst. If you were worried you might die before you could share it, then you should have given it to another Townie and told them to post it for you in the case of your death.

The fact was, we had already picked our targets for the next night before you posted that, and you weren't one of them. Then you started trying to incriminate me and Inferno, and you left us no choice but to kill you immediately. You would have been a lot more successful in your attempts had you waited until the next day.
