Day 5"Well, well, looks like a tie. Hell, Echo's noose is still in tact, why don't we hang two people again?"
Tempz and Riney stared at each other on the gallows. Each had a designated noose around their neck.
"Good news," Voyager7456 spoke up, "I can confirm that one of these two is the last member of the Mafia in this town!"
"Great! Which one is it?"
"Err, well, if you give me another night, I'm sure I can figure it out by process of elimination."
"Another night? Fuck it, let 'em hang!"
Tempz and
Riney were the last to be executed in Kaeben. The sun set, and for the first time in a long while, the town could sleep peacefully.
Town VictoryGame Summary and Awards
MVP Town: poison_us. As the Bomb, he made contact with the Watcher and pretended to be the Watcher. He also used this swap to spread the information that Raitaki visited Jack on Night 1. Runner-up would be DevliN. As a townsperson, he was still able to influence the game more consistently in the favor of the town than other players.
MVP Mafia: Observer12425. He never missed submitting a night action, and nobody even hinted at suspecting him for the majority of the game.
LVP Town: Norm. Yeah, he only had a townsperson role, but his one useful contribution - the ability to vote - was squandered the majority of the game by just abstaining. Be more proactive, man!
LVP Mafia: shadow649. He just admits to being Mafia, completely removing the advantage of not having roles revealed, and then begins to confirm town-aligned players with his behavior. As the game progressed, he also handed out information such as what Mafia roles are in play and who the remaining mafia were (which is a rule violation; shadow649 won't be able to play the next game I host because of this). Runner-up would be Raitaki for mass fake-claims, none of which being the obvious out (Vigilante). Better luck next time!
Best Clue Analyzer: Voyager7456, for picking up my obscure space clue pointing towards shadow649; that made my day. Runner-up would be Cardinal for the propaganda he posed against Tempz, but it never quite got Tempz lynched (when it counted, at least).
Most unexpected event: Aristocrat (Fool) allied up with the Mafia claiming to be an Amnesiac, but was shortly killed by shadow649 thereafter.
Forever Unknown prize: Wing Zero
Forever Unknown prize: FaRTy1billion
General notes:
- On night 1, Raitaki (Hitman) had originally targeted Azrael.Wrath (Bodyguard), who decided to protect himself, making it a 50-50 gamble to any Hitmen that attack him. Random.org determined that Azrael would win the fight and Raitaki would die. However, shadow649 also targeted Azrael, and Random.org determined shadow would win the fight and Azrael would die. This meant that Raitaki and Azrael would die on Night 1. At the last minute, Raitaki switches his target, so he never encounters Azrael.
- Cardinal (Lawyer) didn't start using his clear ability until Night 3. This ability would have potentially saved shadow649 (Hitman) on Day 2. Also on Day 2, shadow decided to keel over and die when a strong clue was pointed against him. He didn't even think to suggest that someone had framed him, which if told in a believable fashion, would start to make some players even consider him a confirmed townie.
- Over the course of the game, Azrael.Wrath (Bodyguard) and poison_us (Bomb) were trying to bait the Mafia into targeting them. Azrael obviously succeeded, but luck was against him and he didn't manage to take out any Mafia with himself. Poison, on the other hand, was relatively ignored for most of the game; Observer12425 (Framer) had been targeting him for a couple nights, although nobody found the clues against poison. It wasn't until the late game that Observer (now Hitman) finally targeted poison.
- TiKels (Godfather) forgot to use his promote ability on Night 3, which turned out to be a little helpful; if TiKels had promoted Observer12425 (Framer) on Night 3 like he had planned, Observer would have used his hit on poison_us (Bomb).
- On Day 4, Cardinal had one more vote than Echo publicly, but Mp)HellFire's vote counted as two on Echo, causing the double lynch. It's a little funny, considering Echo was trying to lynch HellFire the majority of the game.
Day 0 With Names
The townspeople of Kaeben methodically perform their daily routine, going out of their way to appear as innocent as possible. Everyone knows that today is a pivotal time, and anything that makes you a suspect will result in your hanging tomorrow. Some choose to rush to the local pub and forget this reality (Bartender/Alcoholic relationships); others try to cling to friendship in hopes of survival (Socializer/Friendship relationships).
"You're in the way."
"Huh?" Voyager7456 was standing on the sidewalk, looking intently at an old billboard for a business that no longer exists in this town. The young man's eyes move to meet the gaze of the person across from him. "Oh, sorry." He steps aside, allowing TiKels to pass, but TiKels doesn't move.
"You shouldn't be in the way. Bad things happen when people get in the way." TiKels turns around and walks away from Voyager7456.
"What the hell was that about?" Voyager7456 fixes his gaze back to the billboard. "How interesting."
The sun peaked above Kaeben. It was nice weather, not a cloud in the sky. Jack sits beneath a tree, reading a large book in the shade. A bit of motion catches his eye, and he sees an elderly man approaching him. "Good afternoon," Jack briefly says, returning his attention to his book.
OlimarandLouie lets out a series of coughs. "Why hello there. You wouldn't happen to have the time, would you?" He asks.
The lazy genius raises an eyebrow. "No, I wouldn't."
"You don't have a cell phone or a watch or anything?"
"No," Jack replies. He couldn't care less if this man was late to wherever he was going.
"I see. Sorry for bothering you."
Jack watches in his peripherals as OlimarandLouie walks away. He knows that it is approximately two o'clock, based on the direction and length of the shade he sits in.
A window shatters. Aristocrat walks down Main Street with a baseball bat, smashing a pane every now and again. He walks with a smile on his face, genuinely enjoying the emptiness of the buildings here. His shoes loudly crunch on broken glass, and he continues this pattern even when another person spots him.
"What are you doing?!" Tempz demands.
"What am I doing?" Aristocrat repeats, taking a moment to ponder it. His eyes move towards the sky, and he taps his index finger on his chin, trying to formulate the right words.
"Who do you think you are?"
"Who do I think I am?"
"What are you, a parrot?" Tempz grows increasingly aggravated with each moment that passes.
"No, I am most certainly not a parrot," the skinny man replies with a grin. "And I cannot answer your questions if you do not give me time to reply." Aristocrat shatters another window.
"Stop that!" The person says, threatening Aristocrat with a closed fist.
Aristocrat begins laughing. "Is this town your treasure? Do you care for it so? Does this hurt you?" He begins to swing the bat again towards a building, but his confronter grabs it mid-swing. The smile drops from the skinny man's face. "Fine, keep your precious windows." He releases his hold of the baseball bat, and walks away.
"You'll be the first to go," Tempz muttered, still holding the end of the bat.
The shopkeeper (shadow649) sweeps the steps leading into his small general store. It is almost eight o'clock in the evening, and he's just starting the daily routine of closing shop. It is the only store still open on Mafi Street, as other businesses have been closed from the threat of the Mafia. "No customers today," he remarks to himself. Despite it being a slow day, shadow649 remained fairly optimistic about the future of the store. He knows there is at least one loyal customer (DevliN) out there.
Four men sit in an otherwise empty room. There they wait, not speaking to one another. The sun had set long ago, and the only lighting was that of a single bulb dangling on a string in the center of the room. shadow649 pulls out a brass pocket watch, which appears to be chained to his jeans. "It's time."
Raitaki, sitting across him, begins laughing loudly. Observer12425, shadow649, and Cardinal remain silent, allowing Raitaki's laughter to bounce off the walls. "Well then," he says, suddenly turning serious, "see you guys at the Square tomorrow. Screw up, and I'll hang that noose around your neck myself."

Night 1 With Names
TiKels sat calmly in his chair. It was a normal night, like any other night. People will die tonight, like any other night. He knows this. He planned this. He ordered this.
"Well, isn't this an interesting site?"
"What do you mean?"
"Not too many people are out here at this time of day."
"I could say the same for you," Jack replied. He was standing at the corner of Mafi and Main. Across the street was Raitaki, who seemed pleasantly surprised, despite trying to hide a smile.
"I was just on my way to visit you."
Jack took a small step back. This isn't good. This man... he couldn't be... "I didn't expect to run into you here; shouldn't you be at the bar?"
"Well, actua-" Raitaki paused, processing what Jack had just said. "How did-"
Jack immediately bolted, taking advantage of the opportunity he created.
"Get back here!" Raitaki, now furious, quickly pursued him.
A barroom brawl emerged from a pub not too far from Main. There were five men in the room including the bartender, though only two were actually fighting. FaRTy1billion was passed out, drunk. Aristocrat watched eagerly, thoroughly enjoying the conflict. The bartender OlimarandLouie was too fearful to intervene.
It was a rather one-sided fight: Azrael.Wrath was effortlessly launching nearby tables and chairs at his opponent, who was already heavily battered. "Get up!" Azrael.Wrath shouted, having exhausted the nearby furniture.
Shadow649 used the wall as support to stand, as most of his energy was already pummeled out of him. "Damn, you're pretty strong."
Azrael.Wrath smiled. "Wish I could say the same for you." He moved his hands to grab one end of the bar counter, which was attached to the floor.
"Please, stop this," requested OlimarandLouie. "If you want to fight, take it outside!"
Azrael.Wrath had no intention of listening, and OlimarandLouie had no intention of directly opposing him. With one solid motion, Azrael.Wrath tore the base of the counter into the air (along with a portion of the floor), leaving a large, gaping hole in the center of the room. He approached shadow649 with the piece of furniture held above his head.
Shadow649 reached into his pocket. "Hell, I didn't think I'd need to draw this," he remarked as he pulled out a small handgun. Before Azrael.Wrath could smash the counter onto the man, shadow649 placed a full clip of bullets into various parts of Azrael.Wrath's person.
His hands worked quickly. poison_us was in no rush, but he just had to get something productive done before going to sleep. The soft ticking of the hand clock above his head was somewhat of a comfort, as it consistently broke the otherwise silent night. poison_us blinked a few times, seeing spots; an earlier experiment nearly blinded him. Despite this, he kept his eyes wide open and focused on his work.
"End of the line, Jack."
Jack was cornered in an alley between two abandoned buildings. "Yeah, looks that way, doesn't it?"
Raitaki laughed. "It seems a tad stupid to run into a dead-end, even for you."
"It appears that way, doesn't it?"
"What the hell do you mean by that?!" Raitaki shouted. "Why do you keep saying that?!" He raised a gun and pointed it straight at Jack's head. "... Never mind. I would like you to answer one thing for me, though."
"No."
"What?"
"I said no."
"Don't you value your life?"
"Of course I do," Jack replied, "but even if I answer your question, it won't save me. So go ahead and shoot." He momentarily glanced at the roof of one of the buildings. "There's no witnesses here to see you do it."
Raitaki sighed. "Goodbye, Jack."
Night 1 Analysis
He sat calmly in his chair. It was a normal night, like any other night. People will die tonight, like any other night. He knows this. He planned this. He ordered this.
Hinting that the Godfather role is still in the game.
Across the street was another man, who seemed pleasantly surprised, despite trying to hide a smile.
A clue referring to Raitaki's avatar, where the mouth is masked by the clothing and hand.
Jack took a small step back. This isn't good. This man... he couldn't be... "I didn't expect to run into you here; shouldn't you be at the bar?"
"Well, actua-" The man paused, processing what Jack had just said. "How did-"
Jack immediately bolted, taking advantage of the opportunity he created.
This was describing two things:
1) Raitaki originally was targeting Azrael.Wrath, who was an Alcoholic.
2) Jack shows that he knows a lot more than he should and uses this intelligently to try to escape his fate, hinting at the connection of him being the lazy genius from the Day 0 post.
The beaten man used the wall as support to stand, as most of his energy was already pummeled out of him. "Damn, you're pretty strong."
The beaten man reached into his pocket. "Hell, I didn't think I'd need to draw this," he remarked as he pulled out a small handgun.
Damn/Hell -> Devil -> DevliN (framed).
With one solid motion, Azrael.Wrath tore the base of the counter into the air (along with a portion of the floor), leaving a large, gaping hole in the center of the room.
Large empty space -> SPAAAAAAACE -> shadow645 by avatar
His hands worked quickly. He was in no rush, but he just had to get something productive done before going to sleep. The soft ticking of the hand clock above his head was somewhat of a comfort, as it consistently broke the otherwise silent night. He blinked a few times, seeing spots; an earlier experiment nearly blinded him. Despite this, he kept his eyes wide open and focused on his work.
Implying he saw a very bright light -> Sunglasses -> DevliN by avatar (framed).
The paragraph as a whole is hinting that the Bomb is still in the game.
Jack was cornered in an alley between two abandoned buildings. "Yeah, looks that way, doesn't it?"
"It appears that way, doesn't it?"
He momentarily glanced at the roof of one of the buildings. "There's no witnesses here to see you do it."
Hinting that someone (Watcher) was on the rooftop watching what happened. Also hinting that Jack had figured this out as another connection to him being the lazy genius from Day 0.
