[02:36 pm] Azrael.Wrath whispers to you -- Nooo post the vote thread now to see what people will want to play after Roy's is done
Description of round types will be posted soon, and will be updated as I go through them. A few roles and/or game mechanics might be removed as SENners voice their opinions and as I go through them.
Mitadake High Mafia
Inspired by DevourerOfSoul's Mitadake High RP.
A teacher has been murdered in Mitadake High, and a full lockdown has been initiated. With the school's violent history of riots and massacre, extreme security measures were employed, and disabling the lockdown would take the police around twelve hours. Several students are trapped inside, the murderers among them, and many of them are not content with sitting around for twelve hours praying for their safety. The murderer and his/her accomplice know the means to escape the school without the knowledge of anyone outside, but they don't want to be hindered by a group of scared teenagers all wanting out. Thus begins a struggle for survival....
Game Mechanics: Features free-roaming of players within the school during "night cycles", with useful items hidden in different areas that have a chance of being found by any unwary bypasser. A few night actions can be used on a location instead of a player, and the presence of a player in a crime scene or within proximity of "mafia" players might affect clues. Each player will also be given a personna that clues might point towards, and players must deduce who each personna represents by other clues (personnas don't have to match the true personality of the player). Upon death, the role of the player will not be revealed (subject to change).
ROLES COMING SOON.

ROLES COMING SOON.
Resident Evil Las Plagas Mafia
Game Mechanics: Might feature the same roaming system as Mitadake High's. Each mafia would be given 2 roles, an infected role and a townie role. The mafia doesn't have any ability of his townie role, but he'll appear to the Investigator as the townie role he is given. If the mafia is killed via a night hit, he'd only appear as his townie role, unless his abilities do otherwise.
Roles (UNDER CONSTRUCTION):
MAFIA FACTION
Normal Infected: A person infected who is infected with improved Type-2 Las Plagas. They still retain their speech, dexterity, intelligence and normal appearance, but has developed an instinct to kill, cannibalize and spread the infection. Night Hit - All Infecteds can attack one person once per night, inflicting loss of one night life. Infect - All of the original infecteds who had been under the Las Plagas' control for some time can infect other people. The infected ambushes a healthy person and infects them with the Las Plagas. If any townie visits the same target during the same night, the infected would fail and be killed if the townie's action's priority is higher than Infect's, or simply fail to infect the target if the townie's action's priority is lower than Infect's (exception: the infected who uses Infect wouldn't be killed if the only other person who visits his target is a townie using Rescue). Can be used only once per game.
Cephalo: A person infected with a mature Type-2 Las Plagas. The Cephalo has 2 night lives. Reveal Parasite - When the Cephalo is hit and is left with 1 night life at the end of the night, the Las Plagas parasite will reveal itself and injure up to 3 people among the townies and third party players who have visited it that night, rendering them unable to participate in the next day's lynching process and revealing the Cephalo's mafia role to everyone.
Chainsaw Majini: An infected with a chainsaw. Chainsaw - Kills the target player regardless of their night lives and protection. Can be only nullified by Rescue or Dodge. Once a player has successfully nullified this action once, the town will be notified of a freak with a chainsaw and a bag on his head, and from that point on this action would be the same as a normal Night Hit that can only be used once per 2 nights.
TOWN FACTION
Investigator: Investigate - The Investigator observes one person, revealing their townie/third party role. Mafia roles are not revealed.
Doctor: Heal - The doctor heals one person, protecting them from one night hit targetting them, or, if that person was wounded by the Las Plagas parasite, perform first aid so that the person can participate in the next lynching process. If the doctor heals a Mafia and successfully negate one night hit placed on him, the Mafia's faction would be revealed to the Doctor. Blood Test - The doctor checks to see if a person's blood composition is normal. Reveals whether or not the target is a Mafia to the doctor.
BSAA Agent: An agent from the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance sent to investigate and eliminate the Las Plagas in the area. Night Hit - The BSAA agent can attack one person every night, removing one night life. The BSAA Agent has enough ammunition for only 2 hits, and thanks to his firearms training he can extract one more use from any non-RPG weapon he comes across.
Detective: Surveillance - The Detective tails one person and finds out who he visits during the night, as well as whether they used a night hit.
Townsperson: Dodge - Nullifies the first hit or infect placed upon this player. If an infect is nullified by Dodge, the mafia who used it will still be able to use it again. Can be used only once per game. ]Rescue - Saves another player, nullifying the first hit or infect placed upon them. Can be used only once per game.
Policeman: Arrest - The policeman arrests and imprisons one person in the detention center, The imprisoned person cannot use nor be targetted by any night action, unless if the policeman is killed, in which case only the night actions targetting the jailed with equal or lower priority than the action that killed the policeman are successfully used, and the jailed person will use their night action with equal or lower priority than the action that killed the policeman.

Death Note Mafia
NEGLIGENT INVESTIGATOR - A pawn of the Kira Investigation Team, this member dutifully shuffles through the bureaucratic work on a daily basis. He knows little, but as an integral part of the investigation, he carries on his work regardless. Carries a fake ID, with his real name unknown to all other players, but there is nothing that can't be uncovered with a little investigation...
L - The leader of the Kira Investigation Team, whose sole goal is to find and eliminate Kira. His name is unknown and not recorded in any form, and as such he is essentially immune to the Death Note, with one exception...
SECOND L - In the case that L is somehow killed, the investigation team will vote to elect his successor amongst the remaining investigators during the following day. The second L is conferred some of the abilities of L. If the second L is somehow eliminated, another vote will be held to elect the next "second L". On the day of election, a lynch vote will not be held.
W - The right hand, aide, and advisor of L, W's alias is known to everyone, but like L, his real name is unknown.
KIRA - The first human owner of the Death Note, Kira is otherwise entirely identical to an investigator, save for his extraordinary intellect. Owns a Death Note.
NEGLIGENT CIVILIAN - A typical member of society, the civilian has absolutely no knowledge of the Kira affair, and does not participate in the voting process as they are not involved with the investigation. Civilians will win as long as they survive, regardless of the side that secures victory. Civilian names are publicly known, so Kira can kill them without investigating, except for the case of special civilian roles.
N - A detective rivaling L in intellect, N hides in the shadows as a normal civilian until L dies, at which point he surfaces and conducts his private investigation. Otherwise, identical to a civilian and inherits its powers.
FBI AGENT - A loyal guard of N, they assist with the investigation. Otherwise, appears like a civilian and inherits its powers.
M - Aligned with no other party but otherwise seeming like a civilian, M has the objective of acquiring the Death Note for himself. Wins if and only if he obtains all copies of the death note. Otherwise, identical to a civilian and inherits its powers. Knows the face and real names of L, W, and N.
MAFIA - Aligned with M, the mafia win if and only if M wins. Otherwise identical to civilians.
SECOND KIRA - The second human owner of the Death Note, this Kira possesses the gift of Shinigami eyes. Owns a Death Note. Otherwise, identical to a civilian and inherits its powers.
X-KIRA - An ordinary resident with a pro-Kira stance, X-Kira functions as a normal civilian until Kira relinquishes control of his Death Note. Until then, X-Kira is unaware of his own role.
Death Note - A tool of extraordinary power, this supernatural booklet allows those who own it to wield power over death.
Notes on role identities:
Victory Conditions:
Courtesy of Aristocrat.
- Vote - The investigator will voice his suspicions towards a person whose identity he suspects to he Kira. The daily voting process is, however, democratic, so the investigator will have say equivalent to one vote. The person who receives the most votes by the end of the day will be arrested and executed. This applies to every role listed, unless specified otherwise.
- Power: Follow - At night, the investigator may shadow one other person and gain knowledge of any visits they make. Counts as a visiting action.
L - The leader of the Kira Investigation Team, whose sole goal is to find and eliminate Kira. His name is unknown and not recorded in any form, and as such he is essentially immune to the Death Note, with one exception...
- Vote - L's words carry more weight than the typical investigative member, and so his votes count for twice the weight.
- Passive: Investigative Immunity - L's name cannot be acquired via normal means; shinigami eyes are required.
- Power: Override - If L has overwhelming suspicion against a particular person, he may override the democratic process and use his position as head detective to force an execution on daytime. If, however, he executes an innocent player through this power, he will lose the ability to use it in any future votes.
- Power: Deduction - At night, L may use his intellect to evaluate existing clues. Adds 12.5% to the progress of solving the case each use; after the progress reaches 100%, L will arrive at the true identities of Kira and all accomplices.
- Power: Restraint - L may handcuff himself to another member of the investigative unit during the day, preventing both L and the target from using powers or visiting any other person that night.
- Conferred Vote - L's words carry more weight than the typical investigative member, and so his votes count for twice the weight.
- Passive: Investigative Immunity - All data of the Second L is purged when he is elected, thus L's name can no longer be acquired via normal means; shinigami eyes are required.
- Conferred Power: Override - If L has overwhelming suspicion against a particular person, he may override the democratic process and use his position as head detective to force an execution on daytime. If, however, he executes an innocent player through this power, he will lose the ability to use it in any future votes.
W - The right hand, aide, and advisor of L, W's alias is known to everyone, but like L, his real name is unknown.
- Passive: ALL DATA DELETE - If killed via Death Note, W will erase all data pertaining to L, M, and N from the computers to prevent Kira from taking control of them. Because all information regarding the Kira investigation is erased, it resets the progress bar to 0%. If killed via any means other than the Death Note, when L expires, every member of the Kira Investigation Team will die simultaneously as Kira obtains the real names of all investigators involved.
- Passive: Investigative Immunity - W's name cannot be acquired via normal means; shinigami eyes are required.
- Power: Follow - At night, W may shadow one other person and gain knowledge of any visits they make. Counts as a visiting action.
- Power: Surveillance - W may install video surveillance equipment in the home of one member during the day, but will fail to show up to the daily meeting. At night, he may observe that person's actions through the plethora of video cameras, and gain complete knowledge about any night actions made.
KIRA - The first human owner of the Death Note, Kira is otherwise entirely identical to an investigator, save for his extraordinary intellect. Owns a Death Note.
- Passive: Acute Perception - As a perceptive person, Kira will be aware of any person who follows him, as well as any surveillance equipment installed in his house while he was absent.
- Power: Investigation - Leaves for one person's home and acquires their real name during the night. If they do not visit anyone else, he will see their face. Counts as a visiting action.
- Power: Relinquish Note - Anonymously relinquishes possession of his Death Note at night, giving it to X-Kira. At this point, X-Kira becomes aware of his own role.
- Power: Broadcast - Appears on Sakura TV as a guest of their infamous pro-Kira program.
- Power: Visit - At night, calls another player and arranges to visit him or her on the following night. The target will be informed that another person will visit them the following night. When the visit occurs, neither party may visit any other on the same night, but this does not stop any other non-visiting night actions, such as arranging another visit. Counts as a visiting action on the second night.
N - A detective rivaling L in intellect, N hides in the shadows as a normal civilian until L dies, at which point he surfaces and conducts his private investigation. Otherwise, identical to a civilian and inherits its powers.
- Passive: Investigative Immunity - N's name cannot be acquired via normal means; shinigami eyes are required.
- Power: Analysis - Usable only if L dies. At night, analyzes clues about Kira within his own investigation. N contributes 5% each night to the progress bar, with an additional 2.5% for each FBI agent alive. If N has declared, an extra 12.5% is added per use.
- Power: Declare - Usable only if L dies. Makes his role known to everyone, and inherits L's voting powers.
FBI AGENT - A loyal guard of N, they assist with the investigation. Otherwise, appears like a civilian and inherits its powers.
- Power: Surveillance - Tracks one target of his choice and gains knowledge about whom that person visits during that night.
- Power: Blockade - Protects one target of his choice and prevents any other person from visiting them that night.
- Power: Search - Covertly searches one civilian's possessions at night. If that civilian owns a death note and is visiting someone else that night, it is given to the FBI agent, and that civilian's note is replaced by a fake.
M - Aligned with no other party but otherwise seeming like a civilian, M has the objective of acquiring the Death Note for himself. Wins if and only if he obtains all copies of the death note. Otherwise, identical to a civilian and inherits its powers. Knows the face and real names of L, W, and N.
- Passive: Investigative Immunity - M's name cannot be acquired via normal means; shinigami eyes are required.
- Power: Chocolate - Eats a bar of chocolate.
- Power: Blackmail - Blackmails the investigative unit into handing over any copies of the death note that they are in possession of. May be used only once.
MAFIA - Aligned with M, the mafia win if and only if M wins. Otherwise identical to civilians.
- Power: Investigate - Acquires a photo and the real name of the target at night. Because typical mafia members lack the intellect necessary to conduct a covert search, if they attempt to investigate an FBI agent or anyone under their protection, they will be noticed and captured.
- Power: Theft - Steals from a target of choice. Because typical mafia members lack the intellect necessary to conduct a covert operation, if they attempt to steal from a person who is home, they will be captured by the police and executed on the spot.
- Power: Delivery - By visiting M, gives all data and items collected to him.
SECOND KIRA - The second human owner of the Death Note, this Kira possesses the gift of Shinigami eyes. Owns a Death Note. Otherwise, identical to a civilian and inherits its powers.
- Power: Hide Note - The Second Kira may hide away any Notes in her possession at night, preventing FBI agents from successfully finding a Death Note in her possession as long as the Note remains hidden. While the notes are hidden, however, the second Kira cannot use it. Counts as a visiting action.
- Power: Retrieve Note - The Second Kira may retrieve any Notes she has hidden at night, to enable her to use the note once more. This again will expose her to FBI searches. Counts as a visiting action.
- Power: Shinigami Eyes - During the day, acquires the real name of a civilian. as well as knowledge of whether or not that person owns a Death Note. Cannot be used on members of the Investigation, as she cannot enter the building at which the day conference is held.
- Power: Visit - Functions like a normal civilian visit, although she will acquire the real name of the person as well as a photograph of their face. If she visits Kira, she will be able to transfer all names and photographs she acquired to Kira that night. Counts as a visiting action on the second night.
X-KIRA - An ordinary resident with a pro-Kira stance, X-Kira functions as a normal civilian until Kira relinquishes control of his Death Note. Until then, X-Kira is unaware of his own role.
- Power: Shinigami Eyes - Acquire the real name of a target during the day with 100% success, as well as knowledge of whether or not that person owns a Death Note. Activated when he becomes aware of his own role. Will require up to five days to obtain the name for L and N (if publicly claimed) due to the security measures in place.
Death Note - A tool of extraordinary power, this supernatural booklet allows those who own it to wield power over death.
- Conferred Power: Sakujo - If the Death Note owner has seen a person's face and acquired their real name, they may write the name of that person in the Death Note at night, guaranteeing their death. The death conditions may be specified, as to allow Kira to control their actions prior to death as well as the time of death. Consult the Death Note Rules for details. As many names can be written into the death note per night as necessary, although the Death Note owner must have seen the face and know the name of the target.
- Conferred Power: Transfer - A Death Note owner gains the ability to give the Note to any other person during a night visit; both parties will be aware of each other's identity as well as the nature of the transfer.
Notes on role identities:
- The Investigation Team encompasses the following characters: NEGLIGENT INVESTIGATOR, L, W, and KIRA. Publicly, they all appear as INVESTIGATOR.
- Civilians include the following roles: NEGLIGENT CIVILIAN, N, FBI AGENT, M, MAFIA, SECOND KIRA, and X-KIRA. Publicly, they all appear as CIVILIAN.
- L and W are roles known to all INVESTIGATORS. Investigative squad members know who each other are, but not who KIRA is.
- KIRA and SECOND KIRA know each other, as well as the identity of X-KIRA. X-Kira will not know he is X-Kira until Kira relinquishes control of the note. X-Kira appears as a normal civilian.
- M and MAFIA are aware of each other's identities.
- N and FBI AGENT are aware of each other's identities.
Victory Conditions:
- The INVESTIGATOR alignment wins when M, KIRA and SECOND KIRA are eliminated, as well as X-KIRA if the role is active, with both Death Notes in the possession of Investigation-aligned players.
- The KIRA alignment wins if L, M, and N are eliminated, with both Death Notes in the possession of Kira-aligned players.
- The M alignment wins when they control both Death Notes.
