Fuck that, nobody even does that. Riney and Lingie just spent the ENTIRE game attacking Azrael because of his bookdock claim. The role claims ruined the game.

Behavioral analysis, which includes claims, is the central focus of Mafia. A lot of Mafia games don't even provide clues. Clues themselves aren't reliable because their quality changes depending on who is running the game, they can be misinterpreted, and there's also the inclusion of red herrings.

I do vastly prefer having clues though, as they add another element of behavioral analysis. Clues can be so misleading, where clue interpretations, true or false, are often revealing.

It was more the centralized, unremovable power. Absolute power is a stupid thing to give anyone, especially in a game where we had 0 Townsperson roles. The last game was crap both conceptually and in practice, don't simply blame it on "bookdock" claims. We had one (1) legitimate clue that anyone paid any attention to, the rest was Azrael leading whichever faction he wanted to victory. Call it what you will, but the game setup was terrible.

Mayor isn't as invincible as it was. I lowered its voting power and nerfed the pardoner's power, and also only regular townspeople will get dodge this game. Oh, and there'll be one bodyguard.

Unfortunately since everyone is boycotting this game because they don't like who's playing or that a few rules were patched up to change up the ruleset of last game to make it more fair, it's doubtful this game will start any time soon. Stop flaunting your e-peens and play some damn Mafia. ;O

I manipulated my own brother btw. I was trying to destroy Az the entire time, I was mafia after all. But even if I did counter claim, people STILL would have believed Az over me.

Since neither of us was, or were to be culted, our best intention WAS to jail the culted boondock.

The cult was against the town, you know.

No, you were helping Mafia and undermining the Town's victory. He wanted Town to win. You were definitely not on the same side.


Well, you drastically altered the outcome of the game, you may have singularly had the most influence on the events that transpired. You may not have won, but your actions in attempting to have me killed are what resulted in the Town's defeat, so that might give you some satisfaction.

God damnit, dude, give it up already. Roy even called you out on it, you didn't want a town victory. You wanted a cult victory.

And I would of won too if it werent for those damn kids and their stupid mutt.

To be fair, though, Azrael had always felt that you were undermining the town; you were the one who took action first, changing Night 1 plans because you didn't trust Azrael; he hadn't made any acknowledgement towards supporting the Cult until after the result of your actions. In fact, this may have inspired his decision to have the Cult win.

More importantly, though, he felt you were undermining him, which is why you were a target regardless of his alignment.

I took action, because it was necessary. It was too perfect that one person could pick out so many Mafia just out of the blue like that. There was no clue interpretation, or anything. I was never a part of his group at any point, and wanted to stay OUT the entire time since his election into power. Lucky guess, maybe, but I didn't like seeing a mafia just drop like that.

Unfortunally, Wing Zero talked to Azreal, and basically sold me out. I forgive him entirely though, because we were both public enemy number one for our stopping power, and died for it.

This is exactly what happened, which I've explained to him already.

And his undermining the Town was part of Riney's plot against me.

Thus, it can be said that Riney was trying to destroy the Town, and was successful. If I hadn't had another faction to switch to or if he'd managed to kill off the Cult Leader, which he was already trying to do, I would have been trapped on that capsizing ship and Mafia could have easily won.

Even with the way things played out, if Roy hadn't pardoned me, Mafia were in a very good place to win. Riney had a following of Town who were seemingly hellbent on losing, a Policeman willing to shutdown power roles, and he'd have taken out all the Town's killing power for both night and day in one shot. If any of his followers had ended up with the Pardoner role, not only would I have died, but Aristocrat would have lived. At that point it may as well have been guaranteed Mafia victory.

All that had to happen to get a Mafia victory was a different person being randomly selected for Pardoner. I don't think people realize just how close Riney actually came to winning.


It wasn't necessary, and you caused yourself to lose. Your actions served the benefit of no one except Mafia.


What does that have to do with anything? I did that on my own, before I was even Culted.


This is not a game of clue interpretation, and I never rely on them for reasons I've explained already. I only ever use them if they support behavioral analysis. I don't even think we'd gotten any clues at the point I killed Cardinal and you jailed me anyways, so that excuse isn't even relevant.
