OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Quote from Wing Zero
Just fucking kill a mafia dude
I think the assumption is that the Mafia remaining alive are the only thing keeping this from being a possible Cult victory at this point, until the Cult Leader is killed.

Back* from the grave

Let's face it, town's lost. If Azrael wasn't a complete fucking tool, he would be hitting my counterclaim. But then again, the counterclaim is the cult leader, and why would he want to take out his boss? Too bad none of the town are smart enough to call him out on it.

Azrael, say thanks to Roy for me.

Just here for the pie

** NIGHT 4 END **

The remaining town tuned into the frequency that the BROADCAST had been using only to hear this plea, "I'm lonley... Lemme join a cult. Also, Devlin is evil. BURN HIM."

But that isn't all that happened tonight. The vigilante who had racked up many kills to his name thus far set out to the radio tower where the broadcast was aired and met with the man behind the messages, shooting him in the foot but not killing him (-1 night life for broadcast) and then leaving.

The cult leader went out to invite a townsperson to his cult, but concealed his face whilst doing so.

** DAY 5 START **

Vote for who to be lynched.

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

I encourage you all to think back to Night 1. During that night, Aristocrat and Azrael were jailed. It sounded as though the Boondock Saint was not jailed, and he tried targeting someone who was in jail (Aristocrat being the only target choice). Azrael obviously couldn't be the Boondock if this was the case, but it was eventually accepted as just ambiguous wording from the night post. What if the Boondock really was someone else?

It has been argued that Azrael released his role before he had became mayor. How could he do this if he wasn't the Boondock? Well, two scenarios come to mind, with the first being the most likely:

1) He didn't tell me immediately his role, but told me that he had told others already (which could have easily been a lie; he never told me to whom he revealed his role). He revealed his role to me shortly after, but this time could have been used to arrange an agreement with the actual Boondock. Perhaps he messaged a random person, got their role, and had them agree with a role swap all before he revealed "his" role to anyone.

2) He took a gamble and claimed Boondock, knowing that he would be elected as Mayor. He assumed the real Boondock would keep their role to themselves and remain quiet, and during this time everyone else sends role claims. From there, he has a limited amount of people that could be the Boondock, and he may have messaged around until he could determine who it really was and strike a deal with the individual.

Now, what would this arrangement be, exactly? Why would Azrael lie about his actual role? Let me explain what I've figured out.

Raitaki is the Boondock Saint. Azrael is the Cult Leader. Azrael found Raitaki early on into the game as per one of the methods described above and they agreed that Azrael would pose as the Boondock while negotiating with Raitaki.

Why Raitaki? Well, I based this primarily on the role claims given to me, and that Azrael has been suggesting to me that Raitaki "is most likely the Cult Leader, but we shouldn't focus on him until later." (He also encouraged me to keep this information a secret, which I agreed to do.) I messaged the doctor, and he claims that he has not been asked to protect Raitaki; this creates a gap in my theory, unless, of course, the doctor has already been recruited into the Cult and is lying to me.

I think we all know Azrael's personality well enough to know he'd accept a Cult invite, but the possibility of him swapping roles seems extremely more likely than just being recruited. Regardless, there is no denying Azrael's current alignment. Even if they didn't swap roles, it is very dangerous to have a cult-aligned killing power with x3 votes going against us. Now, why am I saying that it is the case that they swapped roles? It all comes back to that first night. If Azrael really was the Boondock, he couldn't have attempted to hit Aristocrat, as it was clearly stated in the night post.

Finally, it comes down to me: why have I not been recruited? I've done a bit of thinking on this, and my most conclusive answer is that I've been working alongside Azrael for the majority of this game, and he's had no reason to convert someone that is already helping him meet his goals.

I've only received two claims for Theoretical Physicist the day poison was lynched, and Aristocrat was the other claim. I don't know who Azrael's "third claim" was, and really, I don't care what he spouts out. If it had come down between Azrael and poison, I know who'd get my vote. Of course, if I had shown this opposition publicly, I would have likely been the target for last night. Instead, I managed to convince Azrael to not kill anyone to prove he wasn't Cult-aligned. In his eyes, whether he killed someone and lost my support or didn't kill someone and kept my support had equal voting power, and my persuasiveness may still be of some value. It was a gamble, but he bit, and now the town has a chance.

It is likely that the Cult outvotes the town by now, but (ironically) if the mafia helps out, we can lynch the Cult Leader. I have a feeling they will help out, because it was Azrael who so decisively eliminated them in the first place, and this is the perfect opportunity to exact revenge, all within the same game.

Mafia and townsmen, I beg of you: let us work together to foil Azrael's seemingly unstoppable plans!

Hypothetically speaking if MAYOR was cult leader the bodyguards would be instantly aligned to cult. Tempz got recruited last night. I am not cult so azrael can't be the leader of the cult. Aristo must be cult leader but azrael has boondock killing power and is more of a threat.

Mafia has nothing to gain from helping the town or the cult. mafia is the deciding vote. :O

The BODYGUARD (being me) votes to lynch the mayor Azrael.Wrath
and that is funny

He did, I saw the post you're talking about before he deleted it like 2 days ago. Notice he changed some of the most important info in it since then (like "Tempz is the boondock" changed to "Raitaki is the boondock") and it's otherwise a straight copy-paste.

This is a Cult plot to kill me, because with my x3 voting power they still don't outnumber Town.

By the way, my two bodyguards are Tempz and Devlin. Shadow is just blatantly lying.

Hey guys. Theres only ten people left.

That means the Mayor only has a voting power of 2.
