So I kinda want to know where other people work, and kinda want to gloat about how awesome my job is in comparison. I am a Femtosecond Laser Spectroscopist/Grad Student.
My daily work is something like this:
Which rocks because lasers + loud music = rave.
My work is a rave.
None.
I work on reality TV shows.

Currently Working On: My Overwatch addiction.
I had a pretty cool summer job. Me and three friends worked for an internet company that sells pool testing kits. We pretty much just assembled the kits, which is mostly monotonous and boring, but we just sat around listening to music and talking all day. Plus the owners run it out of their house so she would make us super awesome lunches. One time she made us italian sausages with peppers. The next day she took the leftover sausage and put it on a pizza with pepperoni and fucking BACON. Awesome stuff. Oh, and I got paid $9/hr. Unfortunately, she ran out of work for us to do a few weeks ago since we had built up a sizable inventory and the season was ending, but I'm about to leave for school so its alright.
Before that, I worked at a grocery store. It sucked.
Why'd you delete this?

I have not had a job since late 2009. I was a drafter for an engineering company called Greenergy in downtown Chicago.
Currently, the only money I make is from playing shows in a local band, but it is nothing really.
I am just mooching off my parents until someone calls me back with a real job.
None.
I used to do
this, but then I stopped because it was boring, time-consuming, and I made all the money I needed to. Now I'm an unemployed college kid soon to be attending Expensive East Coast University. Woooooo!
None.
I work as a short order cook at a breakfast place, and on wind turbines.
None.
On weekend mornings I make cold subs for the day at a local Italian Deli. It's a great job. Minimum wage, but my employers are cool as long as you aren't a dumbass, and my coworkers rock.
None.

I work in a food court. Mostly in the thai and malaysian shops, so I get to eat some great food, and I've learned how to cook quite a few different dishes. Most of my coworkers are great, the boss is a bit stingy though.
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."
Wonderbread factory.
Pays $14/h and I've gotten quite a few 12 hour days so far.
Wishing I could work at one of two grocery stores. A local one that (almost) no one here would know of, or else
...
...
I'm going to go cry now.
None.
I'm thinking working at whole Foods would be a step down pay wise, unless you have some sort of specialized skill. Otherwise, $14/hr is awesome and you should never leave.

Yes and no. I started at $10, the guy hired with me started at $10.50. Managers make upwards of $20/hr. You also get gain sharing at any level, and I've heard that it can be some serious bank.
Also, free health care after full time for five years? yes plz
