For starters: Ubisofts conference

It was pretty bad. If anyone sat through it can you please give the full list of games that were shown and stuff like that? It was pretty bad. Everyone who came up on stage kept making jokes that no one laughed at, announcements that had no one clapping (pity clap here and there), just not really entertaining. I mean you can't really expect much from them since it's not like they are Sony or Nintendo who can come out with news for thigns besides games. They can only come up with gaming news while Sony can bust out new systems, deals, games, etc. It's been a while but here are some of the ...I guess features of their conference that I can remember (I stopped watching like half an hour in)

New Ghost Recon: It's like call of duty except with a bunch of futuristic weapons and stuff like being able to cloak and having missiles attached to the back of peoples armor. I was never a huge fan of this series.

New Rayman "Rayman:Origins": It looks like it plays JUST like Kirby's epic yarn which was a great game. Side scroller with the ability for co-op. Pretty neat I guess. I was never a huge rayman fan or anything but it the only reason Iwould ever play it is because it plays like Kirby's epic yarn which was incredibly fun with co-op.

FarCry 3: I've never played any games from this series so I can't really say much. To be honest from the gameplay video if I wasn't told it was Farcry I would of said it looked like uncharted or tombraider with a guy. It's not a call of duty shooter or anything. When they showed the video clip of the game I fucking lol'd. The censor was having some sort of problem. One of the characters in a cutscene kept on using profanity and the censor had like a 2 second delay and a lot of profane language slipped on live TV. like "Fucking bastard". At one point the beep noise went on for like 10 seconds, I figure who ever was pressing the button to make the censor just got tired and decided to bleep out a huge portion of the video.

Assasins Creed revelations: Have never tried a game from the series but I think if I heard right it's the last game of the series? Someone fill me in on that ;o

I think Ubisoft did Call of duty right? New CoD MW: It's pretty much the same thing except the story has you fighting in New york. They went into detail with a specific gun. It was called the Xn8something like that. It had a two scopes. It could go from red dot to acog with the press of a button and shot out a grenade that doesn't explode on contact. Instead it 'calculates' your target and explodes when it is right above your target so you can get people who hide behind cover and stuff. I didn't pay that much attention and I missed a lot of it.

One last thing about Ubisoft. The are launching a new uh... branch? It's going to be a film making department. They said that they are going to use it to make an Assasins creed, Splinter cell, and another popular game movie. That's pretty neat.

First let me start off with Dust 514 (I think those were the numbers): This game was created with a partnership with the guys who made EVE online. Correct me if I heard wrong but it's going to have cross platform support for the Ps3 and Pc and it will play like EVE in the sense that you buy assets and use them to war other people except instead of your 'character' being a ship you are in first person as a human being. It's like a giant ground war where you get ISK (EVE money) and buy tanks, turrets, ammo, weapons, vehicles, spaceships, drop pods, what the fuck ever and bring them in to help you in raping your opponents. I figure they partnered with the EVE online people because you would be able to go around with your bros forming a kind of coalition or group or guild or clan or faction or w/e and fight against other peoples groups or factiosn or w/e for land online. Actually interesting imo.

Infamous 2: not a huge fan of the series but eh whatever. From the video they showed in this game cole (that's his name right?) will be able to use new powers that aren't just electric based. He will be able to use Ice and fire abilities. I have no idea how the story went but in the video he teams up with two new characters (they seem new). They are both girls who have the power of Ice and Fire which I think is the reason why he himself also has those abilities.

Bioshock infinite: The game play looked alright. It was pretty steam punk. I can't really say that much about the game play except that a huge part of getting around the floating island will be these rails that you can sort of grind on in the sky with your handy dandy hand rail copter thingy. Story wise apparently you have a girlfriend or a wife or maybe sister? who is name Elizabeth and she says something about how 'he' should NOT take her neck. Though later on in the trailer she is crying as she is being taken away by a robot and you fall to your almost death until you get a hold of a sky rail. Cool stuff I guess.

They also showed a huge part on the Playstation move 9the controller with the bright colored ball on the tip). They actually made it seem really good when they brought out Medivel move. Too much stuff happened in the segment for me to remember. Kobe Bryant showed up. He was a pretty cool guy.

THEN THEY WHIPPED OUT THE NGP WHICH WAS OFFICIALLY NAMED THE PLAYSTATION VITA. FUCK YEA. BEST PART OF THE CONFERENCE. It's goign to have a wifi only version and a 3G/Wifi version.

Price for the Wifi only will be 250USD (also 250 Euro lololol eurofags)
3G/Wifi will cost you 300 USD (300 euro lolololo(

The PSV looks so godamn amazing. A LOT of games for the PSV are going to be cross platform with the PS3. You will be able to play a game on the PS3 and save the game and then load your save on your PSV and play it there. Same game with probably less graphics but still the same exact game. You can only also do things like play mod nation racer on your PSV against PS3 players. I thin kthe same goes for Little Big planet 2.

The graphics were great. I want an PSV SO bad.

Tomorrow will be the Nintendo conference. I'm already satisfied. I hope Reggie won't blow my mind too much ;_;

You don't know Ubisoft, do you? Ubisoft is a huge, popular third party developer, large enough to develop multiple games at the same time. Like EA, at least they have their own conference.
First off, Ghost Recon Future Soldier is a third person shooter, not a first person shooter. It was always a tactical shooter while Call of Duty is the typical run-and-gun rambo style. How are you able to say it's just like Call of Duty blows my mind away, because there is nothing related but being a shooter in general. Ghost Recon existed since 2001. The story behind the futuristic equipment used in the Ghost Recon games unveils what future prototypes of the US Military would be using in the near future. Call of Duty, however, shifts from World War II to Modern warfare (That's in the title), then back to World War II, then onto the Cold War, and back to Modern warfare again and again. You can't compare these two games if one is a third person tactical shooter, while the other is a first person run-and-gun shooter.

...what? I am going to ignore your comments about profanity. However, Far Cry, Uncharted and Tomb Raider share the same environment: jungles, tropical islands, swamps, ruins, desert, etc. The profanity and censor comment ia completely irrelevant of what the game is about.

Edit: After watching Far Cry 3, I think it's awesome.
It is not the last game of the series, because it's a followup towards Brotherhood, which was also a followup towards Assassin's Creed II. Assassin's Creed III will feature a new setting, main protagonist (Or "Assassin"), different era, etc. and it was announced but nothing was revealed.
No, Ubisoft did not develop Call of Duty. Infinity Ward and TreyArch develop the Call of Duty games, all of which are published by Activision. I thought this was common sense.
If that's the case, that is neat.

I am also remembering that in the new Mass Effect you can use the kinect to talk to your allies and tell them to move to certain locations or attack with certain weapons and stuff. For example you can point somewhere with your cross hair and you would say "Garrus, move here" and there he goes.

I want Halo 4. It probably won't be that good since Bungie isn't making it, but I'm too much of a fanboy to not get it. I also want the 10th anniversary edition of Halo: Combat Evolved. :3 I do think it's stupid how Microsoft plans on making a new trilogy; making Halo 4 is fine, but three more games? That's overkill.

the "PSV" doesn't look all that great.. sort of like the 3DS, except not as cool... I guess it's due to the lack of software.. or the history of a lack of software? bleh... (But there's Little Big Planet!!)

The whole wiiU thing confuses me they didnt talk about the actual console piece in the conference. Just that it hooks up to the wii for lulz. The wiiU has a console piece too and is backwards compatible with he wii not specifically meant for he wii. Which would explain the new graphic capabilities for games like metro last night and ghost recon. I was like is this really a nintendo product. I could be wrong :3

Nope. The Wii U Is a whole new console. I must be retarded because the conference introduced the Wii U as a controller add on for the wii in my eyes. The actual console part is like the wii except a little bit bigger and has smooth round edges.

Game of the year all years

Elder Scrolls looks amazing! I've yet to play an Elder Scroll game, will it affect the gameplay of Elder Scrolls V?

Not especially... You don't play as one character through the entire series. In every game you are usually some hero that's locked in some dungeon and by some fate chosen by the gods you are a Hero that was predetermined in the Elder scrolls which predict the future or have every instance of time written on it already or something like that. It's like final fantasy. Some of their games are in the same world but the story is unrelated to any of the previous versions.

In daggerfall you start off in a cell and you're a prisoner. Same thing with oblivion. I can't remember exactly how morrowind worked. If you were traveling on boat to morrowind or you were on a slave ship and were let loose on arrival. But I hear in Skyrim starts with you being put on a guillotine and about to be executed or something like that but then you are saved by somebody or some group. Rumors ;o
