I quit this game. The community is too shitty to make it worthwhile. I logged on yesterday and just wanted to win one game for the coins. Instead, I play three games with whiners and quitters. In the first two games, my team just ends up quitting and sitting in the fountain after 20 minutes. Game three we end up with four melees and one ranged. The kid who takes mid gives up a couple of kills while talking shit about everyone else. After he screws up a gank or someone else did (it wasn't my lane), the laners start giving him shit and he quits. We play on anyway and the game is close. But then we lose one teamfight and my team refuses to leave the fountain and justs waits for the timer to reach 30:00 so they can concede without me despite my pleas that we have a better late game. We had two carries against their one semi-carry. Finally, they concede. Game four begins with me randoming Blood Hunter. I called mid, but Slither is having none of it, because "i'm not giving mid to a .8 kdr". So we start with two mids against a bad accursed. After I get 5/2 kills/denies in the first wave, Slither finally leaves to go lane, complaining "bh didn't let me get any kills and only got one ck", even though he just autoattacked the creeps. At 12 minutes in i'm 5/0 and die for the first time. He goes "lol you suck what do you have 12 ck?" I tell him I had 44, but he says "lol you suck". At 20 minutes, with 350gpm, I find a dd rune and decide to solo kongor. We are clearly winning and I feel I can stop playing seriously, so I figure why not. While I'm doing this, my team decides to push and lose the team fight. Then he starts raging at me for not being there, even though I was never with the team at any time leading up to the push. Then he calls a vote to kick me and my team votes yes. The other team votes yes because I had half my teams kills. So two hours of HoN manages to be ruined by a bunch of fucking whiners. Four times in a row.

Tl;dr: Whiners suck I quit HoN

You win some, you lose some. I don't really give a shit about the community, and I don't really have to since I decided to actually pull myself over 1700.

The idea of asking your opponents whether you want someone on your own team to be kicked is flawed, in my opinion. That idea assumes that your opponents care more about having a good game than winning, which is obviously not true for many players or you wouldn't have complaints like yours. If they are a feeder, of course the opponents are going to vote no. If your team votes to kick your best player, of course the opponents are going to vote yes. I'd probably do it too if given the opportunity, even though I don't care so much about winning.

I totally feel with you, ducky. I had several similar occurrences and it's pissing me off. It's really sad to see such a great game ruined by idiots.
And as much as I'd like to play with reasonable people and just having a good time I rarely see SENners on. And I can't blame them. Too bad I haven't made other friends on HoN yet. Maybe I should start actively looking for friends.

But ducky, please don't give up. Let's play some time. That at least guarantees that they can't kick either of us and together we can prevent most of the team being retards. Usually it's just 1 player going crazy that, given the chance, infects the whole team.

Btw. I think I've improved to the point that I'm almost the level I was when the beta ended. I'm playing Demented Shaman a lot again, which I'm quite comfortable with. And I've noticed that Swiftblade is easy enough for me to be able to dominate some games with him.

Yesterday I had a good day, and a funny game. I showed that I would pick swift right away, and one of our team picks Wild Soul. I'm like "ok 2 agi, but no more carries please." *silence* *5s countdown starts* at 1s they pick puppet, magebane and devo. I'm raging about my team and ask if I can go to the other team. I'm pissed, not taking the game seriously anymore until I'm level 6 or 7 and I notice we're shooting ahead in kills, and even I am 2-0-0. Turned out our team picked horribly but they were actually decent players, while the other team had a good lineup but was made up of 4 bads (and a bubbles) that fed us nicely and we just steamrolled them. I lol'd.

Sorry nude, I've currently been really busy and unable to play. Doesnt help that there's a mad time difference between us and I usually have class whenever it's prime playing time for EU.

Love games like that too nude. Had one where it was me as nomad with an engineer in lane against a hag who went bottle first. I actually managed to kill her solo at one point, because she was so bad. And aso, despite their legionairre attempting to gank us about 5 or 6 times (and dying to mines in one of those with many lols had).

Sometimes, I purposefully pick a terrible Hero in a terrible situation or lineup for the sake of a challenge.

I just am loving those ganker-mid heroes right now. for a while I was playing mostly carries and such, and eventually it just got frustrating, especially in pubs when you have little to no support. So i picked up hag and have been dominating with her. I also like it since she can help carries indirectly just by keeping the other team really underleveled and such, and dont have to sit by and support them directly. Makes tha game a lot more fun.

That's the role I prefer playing too, Shredder. Other heroes that can do it well are Pharaoh, Blacksmith, Pebbles, Tremble, Madman, Flint, Doctor Repulsor, Chipper, Pyro, and Bubbles.

In other news, I finally broke 1800 MMR. Top 2 percentile. =)

The Kick feature is why I quit a loooooooooooong time ago. League doesnt have such a feature that can ruin everything because some kid thinks its cool to kick the guy who can actually win the game for them.

That should rarely happen because it requires 9 votes, or one from each other player. If it's seriously happening that often, you might want to consider changing your attitude or playstyle.

Yes, sometimes someone IS annoying or conceited or otherwise to the point that one would rather kick and lose than win.

Had an allied Kraken recently that was just so full of himself it was almost worthwhile.

I love how scout no longer has a really negative rep. Just went 14-2 in a game with him, and at one point 2-shot an enemy aluna when i had dd ofc.

My build if dominating is early sustainer then red boots, then runed, steamboots, BKB if having a hard time, otherwise harkons, into savage into lifesteal. Basically, as soon as you get the acolytes staff for the harkons, you no longer have aman issues. Lifesteal may need to come before savage, but otherwise it's not needed that much. Just to clarify, our enemies had valk, aluna, pyro, nomad, and gauntlet, so it wasnt like they were low on disables or anything.

Harkons just works wonders on him. It especially works if you have a -armor debuff on your team, such as DS, because the other team will try and stack armor a little more than normal. In this case i had him and HB on my team, so they all had some stacked armor, and then me with HB disintegrated them.

My KDR's gone up by like, .1 in 3 games out of my total of 75. Hag and this scout build are just working wonders for me.

Edit: I just realized why that legionairre beat us so bad in that gae today. Apparently there's a bug with his charge and I bet if we looked through the replay we'd find that he was exploiting it. Was kinda wondering how we seemed to get wrecked every time he charged us.

What do you have to do to amplify the charge dmg like that?

You shift click an auto attack. Basically you do 600% base damage, and apparently it somehow ignores some armor.

BTW, for some reason i've been doing a lot better in pubs than when playing with SENers lately.
