http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh5UFA1M7C0Best time of my life. Original song i probably posted on here ages ago.
Bad:
Too much distortion. Does not fit the song, IMO.
Good:
That was pretty good for your first time.
None.
Which one are you, the lead?
SEN's got Talent
Following JaFF's example
Bad:
- Singing wasn't very good. Assuming the lead singer's you, You need to be able to sing... as we azn's say.. "From the Stomach". Meaning that you need to force air from the lungs (feels like from stomach) all the way up through your mouth. You're singing from the throat when you're singing in a low pitch. Surprisingly, you do that in the high pitched segment around 4:00
- Yeah, too much distortion
- Too repetitive for my taste.. But that's like for every music nowadays.
(Quality of video makes it hard for me to listen for the drums/bass guitar ><)
Good: It IS good for the first time. Keep practicing!!!
None.
I found it very bad in terms of music quality (repetitive, distortion, lyrics/non-instrumental
).
I guess for a first time it's not that bad, but I really wouldn't say you rocked.
Also, that bassist girl... she's way too stiff. You guys need to move. D:
And why is the drummer in the dark. Each member of the band seemed so... individual. You need to play closer to each other and make it look like there's a synergy between you.
P.S. He
is the lead.
None.
>be faceless void >mfw I have no face
For me, the drums especially were really bad. Maybe it was just the recording quality. The song didn't really...fit? Like, there were three parts that didn't synergize that well. Meh. Good job for your first time live anyway
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."
You need to mess with your EQ of your distortion. There is too much in the treble range, it lacks depth. I would just try and even it out a little. You don't have to get rid of that complete fuzz tone, but you need to make each note more distinguishable.
"Hi..."
C'mon, you can say more than that haha. It made me laugh though =P ... Reminded me of Yakov Smirnoff ...
Musically it is not to my tastes due to it being pop-like (in the sense of the structure and design).
Everything payne said.

Schools always have terrible sound boards, so the distortion probably isn't his fault. ;o
I like your singing for the style of music you play. At least in the beginning. You've improved in both your playing and your singing.
Also, yes, your bassist is terrible at playing live. You all need to get more into it. As an occasionally performing musician, I know what it's like. It sucks.
Also, you really need to cut highs and add more mids and lows on your pedal... I have that pedal, just put the tone in the middle, it'll sound the best.
None.
The sound quality is obviously
terrible. But mostly I like it.
This makes me miss high school . . .
