Well whom going to the midnight launch? in about 8 hours cataclysm will be going live and people will be leveling up to level 85.

I'm already set myself, sold all my old pvp armor and ilvl 251 armor which I no longer use or need.

Also filled my log full of 25 dailies and as well set my hearth to capital city, as well logged out at Tournament grounds to hand in dailies.

Will you start leveling in mt hyjal or Vashj'ir?

Canada - land of the computer illiterate. SC2, lick king, brawl, Cata, don't matter what it is, you'll see a max of 2-3 people in a "lineup" for any big release.

I guess this is where I say I'm already bored of leveling and have too many alts to level.

My boyfriend bought me this for Christmas. My DK is an 83 or 84. I have a few lower leveled toons and I am bored with the game. The questing is fine, I guess, the plots are interesting, but it just doesn't hold my attention like Wrath did. I have a 30 day game card I haven't even activated yet.

I'll acknowledge that Wrath was for casuals, but I was a casual player. I liked being able to go from queued to done for random heroics in about an hour (sometimes less if I'm lucky). From what I understand all the instances are much longer than that. I have no problem with people who can devote that much time - and I know that classic was like that, but I just can't devote the time to warrant paying for it. Which kinda sucks.

Also, flash heal is the first heal spell priests get? XD Really? I was always out of mana - it was never that bad in classic. What a pain to level a holy priest, and from what I understand disc is broken and shadow is underpowered (sounds like Classic to me).

I think Blizzard has contracted Startrekitis - every even expac is going to suck. BC was pretty bad itself.

You really shouldn't bash on the heroics when you aren't even level-capped yet and tried them. Try them first, then criticize. Also your complaint about flash heal is unfounded. It was stupid to get heal as your first spell, because it became obsolete as you leveled up, why would they want you to rely on a skill that will eventually become useless? Makes more sense just to give you flash heal. Also, leveling up as a holy build you'd either need to go lolsmite or just level purely through dungeons, otherwise, just go shadow. Shadow priests can also heal at low levels too you know.

I like that the instances are challenging. I'm a very casual player, but I appreciate a challenge. Despite everyone bitching about it, heroics are not hard once you are geared for them. My item level on my Holy Paladin is 352, and I'm at the point where I don't have groups CC anymore because I can keep everyone up without it.

Disc isn't broken, it just sucks as it always has (for PvE, not PvP). Shadow is actually one of the best DPS specs at 85, and one of the most needed utility classes for crowd control.

BC was a terrible expansion, but even Blizzard will admit that. Wrath was fantastic, but they caved to everyone's complaints about not getting precious epics, and made Wrath too easy. Now I actually really love Cataclysm. I liked leveling to 85, and I'm enjoying the process of getting 3 other 80s to 85. I also really like that everything is new in lower levels, so starting a new character doesn't feel like a drag anymore.

Bought Cataclysm to myself for Christmas, but I haven't been able to play it much as my desktop's motherboard blew up on Christmas day and I got back to the UK where my laptop is last weekend. I'm currently leveling up two new characters, a Blood Elf Warrior (EU-Kharazan) and a Dwarf Warlock (EU-Eonar), both are level 40-ish.

The Warrior has mostly been leveled in dungeons (tank = instant join and it's a PvP server) and I have to say I really like the fact that you get the quests in the beginning of the instance, rather than having to go to three different zones to do pre-quests before you get the quests for the dungeon. The addition of the main faction tabards which gives you reputation when doing dungeons was also awesome.
As for the Warrior class itself, it's as always a lot of fun to play (this is my fourth! I have one for each expansion + classic). I haven't really looked at the Arms talent tree, but I really like the Fury tree and most of the Protection tree.

The Warlock has been questing along the northern zones of the Eastern Kingdoms. Finished all of Loch Modan, Wetlands, Arathi Highlands and The Hinterlands. While the new way of positioning and scaling the quests based on level makes things very convenient, it also made questing lose some of its charm imo.
I have mixed feelings about leveling as Warlock. I'm currently Affliction, with Demonology as secondary spec. In the Affliction tree I feel like I'm wasting talent points on things I don't really need, just to get to the next tier. Especially tier 3 is awful when you're just doing PvE. I've only tried Demonology a little, but it was sooo boring. I also considered trying Destruction, but the only spell you have to spam in low level is Searing Pain, which sucks hard. I assume Shadow Bolt could be a viable option, but I don't like wasting that 25% bonus fire damage

LOL wow....you didn't need to get defensive... I was stating my opinion. You can ask most people who I used to play with - I didn't even like raiding in Wrath because it took too much of my time. From the view of a casual gamer WoW is far too much of a time commitment. That's all I was saying.

I actually got bored and stopped playing at level 83, in that weird maelstrom-underground place. Questing just seemed... boring.

I would rather have heal that then became obsolete than waste so much mana on flash heal. I'll stand by that. (also, heal became great for trolling crappy tanks as well as stupid locks.)

Prayer of Mending solves all problems, only, what, 50+ levels to go?

After struggling my way through Outland and Northrend once more (plus getting exalted with Netherwing just for the heck of it), I finally made it to level 80 and the new zones and dungeons with my new Warrior . And I have to say that from what I've seen so far, this is by far the best expansion. Mount Hyjal was pretty good and Uldum was brilliant. I checked out Vashj'ir briefly on my Druid, but I didn't like it much, mostly just cause it's underwater. Deepholm was okay too and I'm just about to begin my adventures in the Twilight Highlands.
I hit the level 85 mark yesterday and have had the chance to try tanking all the dungeons except the Throne of the Tides which I've only healed/dps in. All of them looks good for now, although I suspect that'll change once I've been through them ten times each on heroic Still gearing up in normals for now.
