Really annoying bug where the site is not remembering me, so I have to re-log every time I visit.
None.
That has been mentioned multiple times already. We are aware of it, and are waiting for either DJC or IP to fix it (as IP's new code seemingly replaced the old javascript, which is now causing conflicts).

Today would be the first day in a couple weeks that it actually did remember me, so maybe someone fixed it. IP? Devourer?
Also, I mentioned this before and it's still an issue: I can't see any topics in the
Media, Art, and Literature forum that aren't marked as read. I get a MySQL error unless I click the "Mark as Read" link and try again. Does this happen to anyone else as well? It may just be a skin thing, too.

Sweet jesus. I just logged out. Logged back in with the box 'ticked'.. closed my browser, shut down my PC (updates finished installing) and voila.. SEN REMEMEBRED ME?
edit: Don't know if this is to do with the whole jcollapse business but i can't collapse forum categories any more...

Collapse still works for me, but now SEN wont remember me. Great.
Currently Working On: My Overwatch addiction.
After buying a raffle ticket, the list of participants doesn't update to show you have purchased one, although every other thing linked to participants updates, including the # of tickets sold, and the "You already have a ticket." text.
Do you see yourself on the list when you refresh the page?

Undo my latest collapse-related fix and then test whether SEN remembers your login. If SEN still doesn't remember you, re-apply the fix since it's not the problem. If it suddenly does remember you, let me know and I'll look into it, see what my fix may have broken.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but my "extras" box doesn't work for the shoutbox. Nothing happens when I click it. :

I'm using turtle.. if that's what you were asking.
Is JavaScript on? Are you referring to the Global Shoutbox (which appears on every page) or the
Main Shoutbox? What browser are you using? I don't think this next question is relevant, but: do you have the Shoutbox set to show above or below the page?
EDIT: @Devlin:Do this:
- Log out. Close your browser.
- Reopen your browser. Go to SEN.
- Go to a few pages. Do not collapse or uncollapse anything. Anything at all!
- Close and reopen your browser. Return to SEN.
- Are you still logged in?
- Log out. Close your browser.
- Reopen your browser. Go to SEN. Change your skin to Epic, if you're not using it already.
- Go to a few pages.
- Collapse or uncollapse a forum section on the Epic Forum Index. Don't collapse or uncollapse anything else on the site.
- Close and reopen your browser. Return to SEN.
- Are you still logged in?

Yeah, I never noticed that 'Extras' Button on the Shoutbox. I have Javascript enabled, using Chrome (latest Vers). I tried clicking it, both from the Global Shoutbox and just the mini-one at the bottom of every page. Zilch, nada, zero, absolutely nothing happened...
But I did manage to spy a 'collapse' in the javascript that it is supposed to trigger... xD

Argh, Chrome's at it again!
I'm not in a position to test any fixes as college computers don't have an updated version of Chrome AFAIK,
but I'll have a computer of my own ready within a few days or weeks, depending on a few personal factors. Then, I can test and fix this. I may need a reminder, seeing as I'm a forgetful little procrastinator.

Mine just doesn't work at all and I use firefox.
the raffle should be sorted with Past, Present, and Future
, in that order. Specifically, Last drawing should be at the top, Current time should be in the middle. This is how it looks currently...Information
Current SEN Time: Nov 23 2010, 11:42 am
Last Drawing: Nov 23 2010, 12:20 am
Next Drawing*: Nov 23 2010, 11:18 pm
Current Jackpot: 60 (1 tickets sold)
And this is how it should look more like...Information
Last Drawing: Nov 23 2010, 12:20 am
Current SEN Time: Nov 23 2010, 11:42 am
Next Drawing*: Nov 23 2010, 11:18 pm
Current Jackpot: 60 (1 tickets sold)
while I'm on the subject, you could even add things that do the math for you, and show you how far through the elapsed time has gone. Examples:Collapse Box

Last Drawing: Nov 23 2010, 12:20 am
Time since last drawing: 11 hours 22 minutes
Current SEN Time: Nov 23 2010, 11:42 am

If you had to do only one, the simplest and best would probobly be "Time until next drawing" as it informs you how long you have till this current raffle ends.

Found the problem! A regex issue in the function that retrieves cookie data made it retrieve both a specified cookie and the cookie immediately after it. Sometimes, the second cookie was the PHP session ID. This happened if the specified cookie was empty; if you haven't collapsed anything, then of course that would be the case. The collapse code would take the retrieved cookie, strip out the extra one, and save it, and I think that caused deletion of the extra cookie. Haven't specifically verified
that, but it's the only sensible explanation I can find (barring a purely server-side issue) for the login-forgetting problem.
Here's a fix for
/support/global.js: change these lines at the top of the file:
getCookie:
function(name) {
return ( document.cookie.match(new RegExp( "(?:^|;\\s+)" + name + "=([^\\b]+?)(?:;|$)" ,"")) || ["",false])[1];
},
to these lines:
getCookie:
function(name) {
return ( document.cookie.match(new RegExp( "(?:^|;\\s+)" + name + "=([^\\b]*?)(?:;|$)" ,"")) || ["",false])[1];
},
(See if you can spot the difference.
Man, regexes can be tricky things...)
Fix confirmed to work in Firefox. It'll fix basically everything that uses cookies -- particularly collapse functionality -- which should prevent session loss when cookies are altered. This should also restore the Shoutbox's "Extras" button to a working state, as it, too, used cookies.

Spoiler:
Collapse Box
getCookie:
function(name) {
return ( document.cookie.match(new RegExp( "(?:^|;\\s+)" + name + "=([^\\b]*?)(?:;|$)" ,"")) || ["",false])[1];
},
I might'v missed more.
Isn't it a simple thing to swap set of lines of code (or a character, in the case of the collapsebox issue)
in the raffle so that they are sorted numerically and Past/Present/Future'ly?
The type stuff looks cool too...... but... why cant it be on the same line as anything else?
