I am in the silveer league and I want to come back to copper, I quit 40 games in a row, it took me from 8th in the division to 39th but I am not being ranked down, is there a better/faster way to do it?

Its Blizzard's way of saying "Screw you, we want to protect our new players from inconsiderate experienced players such as yourself."

Basically, if you can't find a way on google, then it probably can't be done (easily)

Actually I only am good with zerg and want to start over with another race, because I don't play with the zerg as i should.. I had 15 loses in a row since I became silver (without leaving) So i got the feeling that zerg just isn't my race, they can't cheese well, except rush but every other fucking race walls... And I get the feeling that zerg is UP since I lose 70% of the time against other races and I win 70% of the time against zerg...

If you lose 40 games in a row, you need to win some as well. This is so that the game system can know exactly where to put you by "evening out" in your win/loss ratio. The reason good players that just get SC2 have trouble getting from platinum to diamond, is because they don't stop winning for the longest time. The game doesn't promote them until it thinks it "knows" what level of skill they are, and they don't determine a semi-definite skill level until you they start losing -if they keep winning, the game won't know what skill level they are. Same with if you keep losing. It won't switch you ranks until your ratio of win/loss evens out more. I hope you understood this, and I hope it's accurate.

Praaaaactice. Just study the build orders of DIMAGA(Pre-Terran) or Idra (He's a real treat, nothing like watching someone get krunk because he's losing, despite being possibly the best Zerg in the game).

And for the wall ins, go for a baneling bust, nobody expects them in Silver.

But if you REALLY want to switch races, go play some custom games, be it with your friends or a stranger.

This is exactly the reason (post patch 1.2) that I only played Random. Get a nice feel for all the races and that way you know what each races strengths and weaknesses are. Anyways, now with the new patch I play Zerg + Protoss only. Blink-Stalkers and Burrow-Roaches are so fun to micro with

I think Blizzard should implement some sort of feature by which you can "reset" your career statistics. Putting you back at square 1. But, if Blizzard do this, it'd probably cost you $10.

So, all you can really do is accept your few losses. Do as Fisty has said. Go find some youtube replays and study what people are doing - if they are doing right, take a note of it... if they are doing it wrong, make sure you don't do it...

I find that if you just watch Pro-Games, you won't learn as much as by seeing people make stupid mistakes. Or even, by making those stupid mistakes yourself. On top of this, it's just practice practice practice. I won't tell you what my favorite Zerg opener is, and who I use it against. Develop your own personal preference, think if you are against a Terran or a Protoss what you're going to be up against, and what he might be making. Scout and Scout. Then Scout some more. As Zerg you have the advantage of being able to really quickly change the composition of your forces. I can go from 30 supply zerglings with speed, to 40 supply roaches with burrow in about 60 seconds. And, wipe out someones harvesting operations if i micro my zerglings fast enough

It is important you take map control as Zerg. Because, if you don't. Your opponent will.

I play predominantly 2v2 - so I'm not sure how my advice will pan out in the 1v1 environment but shiiit, just practice! You'll be munching people in no time!

It's really beneficial to use whatever high level players do as guidelines or reference points when critiquing your own play. For example, you could try to use a specific build, and see it fail. You then find a replay or VOD of a high level player trying the same build, and you can compare everything you did to them. Once you find out how un-optimized or bad your choices were, you can change them and solidify your entire strategy.

I prefer actual replays personally, so I can watch what the player in question focuses his micro on and how he maneuvers his game.

Well I think that I was not doing proper builds, I opted for way too economical builds, I was doing 15 gas 14 pool.

What I am doing right now is 9 pool, i thougt it was some kind of all in but it transitions pretty well into roaches and lair, while keeping the other player in a defensive mood. I think I found the right thing with zerg, but I am always playing against equal or less favored opponents, due to the quitting riot I had yesterday... so it might not be that good

Edit: I went back down to copper after 10 wins in a row and a loss, so I guess this topic may be closed!
