Magic box god; Suck it Corbo

I actually don't care if its priced $60 (I think it will), I highly doubt someone who wanted to buy it will decide not to over $20. The expansions will have at LEAST 25 campaign missions so its pretty much a full game in some respects.

It was the answer for Spore. :awesome:

I bought Spore though.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

$60 is too much for an expansion. $60 is already closing in on too expensive for a game. If games were $30 again, I'd buy more.

Let's say you're thirsty. There's a drink machine with 12 oz cans outside. Now, I remember when these were $.50 each. Now you'll be hard pressed to find one which isn't a dollar. Now imagine the can of soda is $2. Would you still buy it? Of course it depends on your thirst. I'd have to be REALLY thirsty to buy it at $2. I highly doubt someone who wanted to buy it will actually buy it when they find out the price is $1 more than they expected, unless they REALLY want it.

You can't make light of small amounts of money. That's one reason the economy is in the state that it's in. People are overspending, which causes prices to go up even further. Pirating certainly doesn't help the matter, as then Game companies up their prices to counter the profit loss. However, would they really have bought the game? I doubt it. It costs too much. Were it cheaper, people would be more inclined to buy the game.

explain please? I didn't buy or pirate that, due to EA boycott.

I understand the concept of being taken advantage of but... If they brought back Fenix and Tassadar and Stukov I'd pay 60 dollars too.

Sorry D:

Stukov isn't dead. I'd pirate it if it were $60 and they brought back tass/fenix. I'd buy it at $40 no matter. I wouldn't pirate at $60 if they didn't.

I was referring specifically to how Spore is/was one of the most torrented games ever (thanks to its hate-inspiring DRM). Also, apparently, it got 1-starred on Amazon thanks to the (hate-inspiring) DRM.

That's what I mean by the faster we give hate and greater degrees, the sooner something happens.

Also, someone is breaking ma thread. http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/188779354

I don't know how you can answer this without spoiling it for me but I know that Stukov got deinfested at the end of the N64 version but ... does he make an appearance in Starcraft 2? If not thats what I meant. Also Infested Tassadar or fenix would be nice. I really want to play the SC2 Campaign so I can speculate about future lore better :C

Sleeping wolves wake hungry.

Blizzard owns SC2.

They also own the map editor.

They ALSO own everything IN the map editor.

THEY MADE EVERYTHING IN THE GAME AND THE EDITOR.

You made shit, you just organized what they made into what you wanted.

But no one else cares about this so it's not gonna happen. Mostly because it's not a big deal.

It's more like someone built a house and you came in and arranged the furniture inside the house. The people who built the house still own it. Who cares anyway, if your seriously looking to make a living on SC map making by selling your maps then I feel sorry for you.

If you used a 3rd party editor, and made a total conversion, then they would only own the game engine and bnet2. However, the only thing that can happen to you if you refuse to follow this clause is that they ban your account, which is within their rights. They can't legally force you to continue to make updates to a map or mod that you make, they can only threaten you with a ban.

You guys are overreacting. There are thousands, maybe millions of fans that will be the expansion packs whether they're priced at $20 or $60 or $100. Whatever you do isn't going to have a big impact on what THEY do. Korea still exists.

Win by luck, lose by skill.

Ah right, the Pencil belongs to [input generic name for pencil manufacturer] the paper belongs to [input generic name for paper manufacturer] so these companies own the graphite on the paper and thus own the picture I've drawn, I see...
See the mistake you made here? You already bought the tool. I don't see why the hours for creating the picture/map should count as doing nothing.
Imagine you're rich and have a manager for your finances. Are you gonna tell him hey, you are just organizing my money, why should I pay you?
The difference here is Blizzard made an EULA making it their own while the pencil manufacturer did not.

However as others have said Blizzard will probably not make use of this right, so I don't really care.
There's much bigger problems.
I've heard we can't play/test maps locally. Each map has to be uploaded to bnet. Is that true?
Also the limit of 5 maps. THIS is a real problem. Not some legal bullshit that has no real effect on you.
Also the limit of being locked to a region. Got a friend in Europe/Asia you wanna play with? Just change the gate since your ping is good enough to handle overseas connections. Oh wait...
Besides bnet 2.0 in its current form sucks. I want bnet 1.0 back. With all the problems it had it was still better because it was usable.
Sorry Blizzard, but I'm not paying for being placed under disability. I play the campaign which is pretty awesome then go back to SC1 until Blizzard comes to senses.
