DavidJCobb
Aristocrat

Evidence

The evidence which incriminated LoTu)S was:

1) A knife identical to the murder weapon in his room, inside his bag.

The knife used to kill the owner was from a set of two identical knives. He took one when he went to kill the owner, and left the other in his bag.

2) A blood-covered button in his pants pocket.

After killing the owner, he went upstairs to change out of his bloody clothes. In his haste, he accidentally ripped a button off of his shirt, which fell into the pocket of the pants he'd just changed into.

3) The entries from the owner's journal compared to the list of contacts in the owner's cell phone.

In one entry, the owner refers to feeling something very ominous about the next day, like he might meet Death himself. On the following day, he meets only one person to add to his contact list. Looking at the entries before then, he'd already added 5 people, making the killer the 6th person that he'd added. The contact list is ordered by date added, and LoTu)S is the 6th person on the list.

Game Highlights

  • After discovering the owner's body, many players scatter in other directions. Tuxedo-Templar prevents anyone from leaving north.

  • EzTerix takes the key for the landscaping shed from the owner's front pocket.

  • Aristocrat pulls the knife out of the owner and pretends to see fingerprints on the handle. He also finds a garage door opener inside a stand, which DavidJCobb sees as well.

  • In the dining room, LoTu)S is attacked by payne, but succeeds in defending himself and knocking payne unconscious.

  • Upstairs, rayNimagi is knocked unconscious by Aristocrat.

  • Tempz enters the area and ties rayNimagi's hands behind his back with his own shirt.

  • DavidJCobb enters the upstairs landing, and is assaulted by Tristana, who is restrained by Tuxedo-Templar and punched in the stomach by DavidJCobb.

  • While no one is looking, Aristocrat grips the handle of the knife used to kill the owner, destroying LoTu)S' fingerprints.

  • Tuxedo-Templar makes his way into the upstairs bathroom, and begins filling two towels with random items he finds inside drawers and the medicine cabinet. He also begins to flood the room using the shower.

  • Meanwhile, a number of players have obtained items from the kitchen. Nasus has a cooking pot, EzTerix has a carton of eggs, and LoTu)S has a meat cleaver and a meat thermometer.

  • Nasus pulls a rug out of the pantry hallway, revealing a trapdoor hidden beneath it.

  • EzTerix throws a metal cart from the pantry hallway into the kitchen, knocking out Nasus.

  • Roy acquires some flour and a bottle of Sriracha sauce, and Wing Zero takes the pot that Nasus dropped.

  • Wing Zero and Roy begin trying to explore the walk-in freezer, with Wing Zero being the one to end up going in while Roy holds the door open. Before entering, Wing Zero attempts to knock Roy unconscious with his pot.

  • Inside the freezer, Wing Zero finds a hydraulic cart and two large meat hooks.

  • Tempz unties rayNimagi's hands.

  • Aristocrat throws a knife at EzTerix, but Tristana is in the way and catches the blade in his throat.

  • DavidJCobb steals the garage door opener from Aristocrat's pocket.

  • Immediately afterward, Nasus enters the dining room, and Aristocrat throws the metal cart from the kitchen into the dining room, knocking Nasus unconscious.

  • Aristocrat enters the pantry hallway and descends into the trapdoor, entering the basement.

  • While unconscious, Nasus has his neck broken by payne.

  • payne keeps the lights off as much as possible, and dodges Roy's attempt to squirt Sriracha sauce in his eyes. DavidJCobb obtains the knife protruding from Tristana's neck and uses it to slit payne's throat in the dark.

  • rayNimagi attacks EzTerix, knocking him unconscious.

  • rayNimagi steals the landscaping key from EzTerix, and ties EzTerix' hands behind his back with his own shirt.

  • Wing Zero regroups with Roy, and gives him one of the two meat hooks. They proceed to enter the pantry hallway to the north.

  • DavidJCobb begins looking for the garage to access with the garage door opener.

  • EzTerix escapes his restraints and flees to the entrance hall.

  • Tempz begins searching the bedroom of EzTerix and Zilean, finding the bloody clothes left by LoTu)S.

  • Tuxedo-Templar begins searching the master bedroom. He empties his towels and all the drawers from the desk and nightstand onto the bed's comforter, resulting in a large pile of various items.

  • Tuxedo-Templar acquires the Colt Peacemaker, cocks the hammer, and tucks it into the back of his waistline.

  • Roy uses his meat hook to smash open the window leading east from the pantry hallway.

  • LoTu)S is standing right outside the window, and sees it get smashed.

  • Tempz locks the south door in the guest bedroom he's in.

  • Tempz pushes the bookcase away from the wall in the guest bedroom he's in, revealing a hidden doorway to the west.

  • Zilean acquires a black umbrella from the foyer, then makes his way to the driveway.

  • rayNimagi enters the bedroom of Wing Zero and LoTu)S upstairs.

  • In the meantime, Aristocrat has located the electrical box in the basement.

  • As rayNimagi attempts to search LoTu)S' room, Aristocrat cuts the power to the guest bedrooms and upstairs hallway.

  • Tuxedo-Templar, still having power in the master bedroom, begins reading the owner's journal entries in reverse order.

  • EzTerix acquires a metal snow shovel and a claw hammer from the maintenance room.

  • DavidJCobb makes his way to the driveway, where he finds Zilean and the garage.

  • DavidJCobb uses the garage door opener to enter the garage, then closes the door behind him.

  • Aristocrat acquires a coil of rope and two flashlights, placing one in his pocket.

  • Aristocrat turns off power to all areas except the landscaping shed, the attic, the basement, and the garage.

  • Roy makes a mixture of cornstarch, water, and vegetable oil to use as torch fuel. Along with this, he uses a sleeve of his shirt and a broken chair leg to create a torch.

  • Aristocrat tears one of his sleeves off, and wraps it around the bottom half of his face to hide his identity. He also forms the end of his rope into a lasso.

  • Roy uses hypnotic suggestion to force arkla to kill Vi3t-X with Roy's meat hook.

  • Roy takes the meat hook back, then uses it to kill arkla.

  • Meanwhile, LoTu)S has been outside, exploring the property. Starting from the backdoor located at the sunroom, he followed the yard until reaching the front door of the house.

  • EzTerix meets LoTu)S just outside the front door, and LoTu)S knocks him unconscious.

  • LoTu)S steals EzTerix' weapons, throws them over the fence, and sprints back the way he came until coming to a tree. He climbs the tree, which leads up to a second floor window.

  • As LoTu)S begins to open the window, Aristocrat enters the yard from the north, who is still anonymous.

  • LoTu)S enters the upstairs hallway through the window, and is unaware that Wing Zero is already in the room.

  • LoTu)S presses himself against the wall beside the window. Wing Zero begins swinging his meat hook to kill the person he saw enter the room.

  • Aristocrat climbs the tree, shines his flashlight through the window, and sees Wing Zero.

  • Aristocrat throws his lasso through the window and pulls Wing Zero outside, where he uppercuts him to death.

  • Aristocrat steps into the house, and is knocked unconscious by LoTu)S.

  • LoTu)S enters his own room, and retrieves his second knife from his bag.

  • Tuxedo-Templar removes the door from the walk-in closet. Combining it with the desk and a number of drawers, he constructs a platform leading out the south window.

  • Using the makeshift platform and a chair, Tuxedo-Templar pulls himself onto the ledge of the roof.

  • Tuxedo-Templar looks around the edge of the roof and then swings back into the master bedroom.

  • DavidJCobb uses a coil of rope, a cardboard box, and his knife to create a makeshift backpack, which he fills with a number of other items from the garage.

  • Roy sees Zilean in the driveway, and throws his torch at him.

  • Roy knocks Zilean unconscious with his meat hook.

  • DavidJCobb opens the garage door for Roy and pulls him through the doorway.

  • Just before going out, Roy's torch catches Zilean on fire, who burns to death.

  • Ezterix finds Zilean's body still burning, and uses the garage to scale the fence.

  • Having successfully scaled the fence, EzTerix falls down a steep slope and is impaled through the chest by a sharp branch.

  • Roy exits the garage, and also uses it to scale the fence.

  • Having successfully scaled the fence, Roy falls down a steep slope and is impaled through the head by a sharp branch.

  • rayNimagi makes a torch from Roy's remaining torch fuel, a shirt sleeve, and a broken chair leg.

  • rayNimagi descends into the basement.

  • Aristocrat begins trying to kick down the door to the guest bedroom which Tempz locked earlier.

  • rayNimagi locates the electrical box in the basement and turns the power to the house back on.

  • LoTu)S cuts a strip of fabric from a bedsheet and wraps it around his head to conceal his identity.

  • Tuxedo-Templar picks up the comforter with all the items on it, using it like a sack.

  • Tuxedo-Templar drapes a sheet over a pillow, and holds the pillow out the north door to make it look like someone is entering the upstairs hallway.

  • Tuxedo-Templar and LoTu)S enter the area of the upstairs hallway that Aristocrat is in.

  • Tuxedo-Templar helps Aristocrat kick the north door open, and Aristocrat moves north.

  • Tuxedo-Templar shoots himself in the head, and LoTu)S takes the gun from his body.

  • Aristocrat enters the attic and confronts Tempz.

  • Aristocrat and Tempz engage in a long, heated fight, exchanging blows back and forth.

  • Aristocrat manages to knock Tempz unconscious.

  • As Tempz is regaining consciousness, Aristocrat throws him out the window. Tempz plummets three stories and dies upon impact with the ground.

  • rayNimagi locates the landscaping shed and opens it with his key. Inside he finds a large stockpile of potential weaponry.

  • rayNimagi takes a large scythe from the landscaping shed and relocks the shed.

  • rayNimagi throws the key and his torch over the fence.

  • In the dining room, LoTu)S creates a death trap that has a high probability of killing anyone that enters the room from the lobby.

  • Aristocrat exits the attic window, moves along the ledge of the roof, and swings down into the master bedroom.

  • In the hallway, Aristocrat finds Tuxedo-Templar's body, taking the makeshift sack and the owner's journal.

  • Aristocrat reads a number of entries from the journal, then takes two whiskey bottles from the sack and discards the remaining items.

  • While LoTu)S is in the sunroom, with the door to the west locked, rayNimagi begins breaking the door down from the other side.

  • rayNimagi successfully breaks the door down, and looks through the doorway. LoTu)S shoots rayNimagi in the face with the gun.

  • LoTu)S moves west and fires two bullets into the doorknob of the garage door, destroying the locking mechanism.

  • Aristocrat enters the area from the sunroom as LoTu)S enters the garage.

  • LoTu)S lassos DavidJCobb to drag him closer, then slits DavidJCobb's throat with his second knife.

  • Aristocrat enters the garage with the intention of killing LoTu)S.

  • LoTu)S uses his last bullet to shoot Aristocrat in the face as he walks in.

Game Map

Courtesy of Aristocrat.

You are put in a scenario where there is a killer. The killer's task is to murder all other players. The objective of the other players is to determine the identity of the killer and murder him or her first.

All actions will be turned in to me via PM, and all turns will be sent out via PM as well. I will do a new turn every day. You do not need to submit actions every turn, but if you miss 2 consecutive turns, then your character will "zone out" and no longer be aware of their surroundings (you can prevent this by sending anything, even something quick like "Stay alert").

Additional Information

At the end of the game, I'll give a full description of everything that happened.

if your second movement is "east" and there ends up being a wall or a closed door there, you will run into it full speed and be knocked unconscious for 1 turn.
This made me  .

Also there will be no postings in the thread at all?

Also when you perform an action like searching and have no idea what the result could be you'd have to list 100 possibilities and could still end up missing the actual result. Is there no way to get information about what happens due to your first action before you decide what to do with the rest of your actions?

The only official posting will be to describe what happened over the course of the game after it's over. Since each player is playing the game from their own perspective, this will tell them everything they missed and explain anything they were pondering about during the game.

Players are free to use the thread to discuss who they think is the killer, attempt to convince other players of their innocence or another player's guilt, try to find people to form a group with them, share information or spread misinformation, etc.

You can simply say "If I find anything useful, then take it," as in the original example. Listing hundreds of possibilities will often not be in your best interests anyways, because only the first 3 actions will be used. As soon as 3 actions have been performed, I'll skip directly to your movement.

In addition, if you're concentrating so heavily on something like that, then you're less likely to notice other things going on in the room, like someone walking up behind you with a hatchet. If you make your character think about a ton of possibilities, the level of generalized details you'll pick up on will be reduced. You can be thorough and still be efficient if you word your actions properly.

Yes. Do a search, wait for the results of the turn, and then perform another action on the next turn.

You could, but there's no advantage to it. Everyone's turns are sent out at the same time, once per day.

Interesting elaboration on my first statement, but you seem to have missed the second sentence, my actual question.

My point was that when I am searching something as my first action the result of what I find could drastically alter my next actions. Let's follow your example and I search a drawer and say when I find something useful I'll take it. But now I unexpectedly find a bomb. So I would like my next action of the same turn to be to call the police using my cellphone while running out of the room (instead of the predefined action of taking).
But since I didn't think of a bomb my predefined actions fail and I waste a turn which gets me killed by the bomb since I didn't get away in time.
This is apparently how you want it to work, but I think that doesn't make sense because I don't need a whole turn to think if I see a ticking bomb. I run away and think while running.

Oh and btw. this sounds pretty much like http://www.staredit.net/topic/9063/ . Just that I hope you plan on actually playing this to the end, unlike many other attempts at forum games on SEN.

You will be provided with adequate backstory.

I believe I've answered it rather thoroughly, actually. If you want your character to run fleeing from a bomb on the same turn should he encounter one, then state "If something in the room seems to be endangering my life, then sprint 2 rooms back in the direction I came from." Otherwise, you can do it on the next turn, assuming you're still alive.
