I would really like to see a "lite" version of SEN optimized for shifty computers or Internet connections. Primarily so that it's easierfor me to lurk and post with my iPod Touch.

Again, Epic and the rest of the old skins are being redone to fit the new forum system. So Epic would probably work for an iPod touch.

Why haven't the forum titles been changed yet? The yellow title alone is awful. I don't even know why the blurry blended images behind the text are there. It seems like the only purpose they serve is to make it harder to read the forum titles. They don't even resemble anything.

The Staredit Network forum title is particularly bad.

It's even worse than the screenshot of the old version of the skin I've seen.




Why is the alignment so screwed up?
And why isn't the search field in that bar like in the old version?

It's being worked on, but the shadow might not be doable, so we're looking for alternatives. The images will remain in some form since they are essential to the new style. They serve no other purpose.

Doesn't fit for lower resolutions. I don't like the way it is now either though.

Why would a shadow not be "doable". It should be easy in photoshop.

The images are poorly done and only get in the way right now. If that's the best that can be done, then they should just be scrapped.

Portal News image is okay
Staredit Network image is the worst and really needs to be redone
Starcraft 2 Contests is good
Starcraft 1 Contests needs work, especially in comparison to the SC2 contests one above it
Starcraft 2 General Discussion is okay
SC2 Custom Map Production needs to be redone, and it would be nice if that image color matched the rest of the images in that section
SC2 Custom Map Showcase is tolerable, but bad in parts where the image has the white streak
SC2 Theory and Ideas is tolerable, but bad in parts where the image has the white streak
The Starcraft 2 Assistance section overall is okay, although there might be a tad too much yellow in the background images of some of them. SC Triggers and SC Terrain are the best of that section
The Starcraft 2 Melee section is good overall, although I'm not a fan of the redness together with the yellow, but overall the titles are readable. SC2 Melee Strategy is the worst of the three though.

Technology and Computers needs work
Games needs work
Media Art and Literature is good, i like it the most because of the fact that it doesn't have any crap going on behind the text, the image doesn't get in the way unlike Games and Serious Discussion which have a lot of crap going on behind it
Introductions tolerable, but suffers from same problems as the others in that section
Terrain Wiki Project needs work. that glaring beige spot is bad

I don't know the exact reasons but, it's not as easy to maintain and it would inflate the size of the skin further.

I also don't understand why the header with the dropdown menus and stuff is just one solid bar of color while the tabs for the forum groups have a little gradient on them. It just seems incoherent. I think between the two, the gradient and curved look of the tabs is the one that's out of place, because individual topics themselves look nothing like that. Topics are just solid colored rectangular blocks.

You've got some points, devliesk, but corbo did not finish the skin but I (or someone else) can finish it later on.

An unfinished skin for a community that never finishes maps, how fitting. Blizzard never releases something until it's perfect. I don't see why you would implement something that's incomplete.

It's not like that it is version 6, this is rather a small update and for that it been enough. I dunno whether corbo even wanted the topic displaying to be changed.

Yes, completely changing the look of SEN, for the worse, while also removing all of the other skins is a "small" update.

No, you need to grow up if you consider this a small update. It's obviously a huge update as it is completely changing how SEN looks. Not only does it completely change how SEN looks, but it's incomplete and doesn't look good. And on top of that, all the other skins are gone so we are stuck with this abomination.

Implementing this skin at this time was a terrible decision as it could have used a lot more work before making it public.

And the fact that so many people don't even like this new skin and have no way of going back to the old better skins shows how poorly this transition was handled.
