Relatively ancient and inactive

Try to not pick an English-speaking country. Unless yours isn't one.

Norway - Beautiful, rainy, rich and stable country. I went to Norway on a trip, and though this was admittedly through the fjords and we ignored the densely populated cities (We passed through Oslo and Bergen, though), it was very beautiful.

Canada - It's like America, but cooler. With more French. Woot.

Sweden - I've been to Stockholm twice, and it's a nice city. As with all of Scandinavia, they have these bike roads in the city and it's all very pleasant. Seemed like a nice place to live. Again, cooler!

Russia - At least, probably would in ten years. I have relatives there, it's a very large country where you can keep exploring and finding something new, it's awesome in St. Petersburg in the summer (not to cold, not too hot, just right!) and it snows a lot in the Winter. It's significantly poorer than the other countries on my list... but getting richer fast. Yay.

France - It's cooler than in NYC (by like 7F, according to Wikipedia), it's modern and rich, metropolitan, and they speak French, so I'd have a head start (I kind of speak French). Plus, I'd love to stare down my nose at people and speak of cheese. Some stereotypes I'll be disappointed to disprove.

So, yeah. It's waaaaay too hot for me in the summer, it's painful to get out of the house for extended periods (unless I'm in my car) so I'm going for cooler countries here. You guys?

wth is starcraft

I'm sorry I can honestly say I'd be very very miserable in any other country. State on the other hand...I wouldn't mind moving to Wyoming...more land = more vegetable garden and more dogs :D

Elaborating on what? :P I'd love to work or study abroad in other countries, get to know the culture and the people and pick up new methods and models...but I don't think I'd be happy transplanting. Its shot through my mind several times, but any country I come up with I'd be unhappy in if I lived their permanently. Not to mention I'd leave behind some rather important people that wouldn't want to move...and that would be sad. :(

Germany - Most specifically the Bavarian and Brandenburg areas. I've always wanted to go to Germany, since part of my family is from there and from what I've read and heard the climate is great along with the people. If you like forests and mountains they have plenty of those in the southern parts but they do have plenty of modern cities. I'd also like to drive in the Autobahn and ride the Maglev train.

USA - If I were to live in the US, I'd like a medium sized, clean and modern city. I've been to a few places like Oklahoma City, Amarillo, some small towns in SE Colorado and the Palm Beach-Miami area. I liked them all, but I loved West Palm Beach. You've got a decent sized city, but it's not crowded. You've also got semi-nice beaches and scenery around. The downtown area was great.

Italy - Beautiful country with very good food.

Australia - FUCK YEA KANGAROOS! Besides having bad latency for most online games and almost everything being poisonous, I see Australia as a great place, especially near the coasts. I love being near coastlines and beaches, and there's very good quality of that in Australia and if I wanted something a bit different I could just go to the Outback for a while. Their cities are also pretty modern like Sydney and Melbourne.

Summer 2002 or 2003, don't really remember which.

I stayed at La Veta. Went to the Great San Dunes park and a few other small towns around the area, mostly stayed up in the mountains.

Germany is awesome haha :)
I'm not planning on leaving germany anyways, if I had to I would choose a good state of the USA, always wanted to be there tbh.

Would have to be Sweden or Australia, for me. As bad as it sounds I don't see the point of learning another language; English is becoming the standard across the globe. To spend years to learn something that will be all but obsolete, save culturally, in 50 years seems like a rather large waste of time.

I really don't like living in the United States personally because of the lax standards on basically everything and the majority of peoples' attitudes, but I've never really traveled so I can't compare. I certainly wouldn't want to live anywhere without visiting it for a good month or so first, though.

Dungeon Master

South Korea, definitely. Pro starcraft ftw!

That or maybe Japan. Robots are cool, though the tentacle rape stuff sorta freaks me out.

Just across the Swedish border. Work in Norway to get a better wage, and pay lower taxes to Sweden :D Also they have cheap meat and soda there! And cheaper parts for my old Volvo!

Faz, I really don't think it's hard enough to learn a new language to stop yourself from finding a better life in another country. Now, whether you'll find it is a different matter... :P Plus, I really don't expect English to become the main language of Norway, Sweden or France. I don't know why you think they'll abandon their languages in favor of English.

I haven't traveled nearly as much as I'd like to. I've been to Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Canada, USA, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. All but two of those for less than a month total. I'd like to go to France. >_>

I'm going to South Korea soon. :D

I went to Canada for less than a week, and an impression was that I'd really like to settle down there once I'm done with my life. Canada is a beautiful country.
