After a long hiatus from the site, I'm back, well, I'll be back when SC2 hits the shelves, for now I'll just show up once in a while and maybe harass a few people .
And to answer the question quickly, yes I do have SC:BW and D2:LoD installed in my laptop, just that apparently I don't have the proper CD-Keys with me so I can only play single players. Also, I froze my WoW account about 2 years ago, so don't expect me to pop in there anytime soon.
So what have I been up to since I left, back in 2006 I believe?
Well, I played WoW and BC for a while, till time got the best to me and I left. I was raiding pretty hardcore getting deep into T6 content (before Sunwell patch) and I noticed that I had to put more and more time into my studies, Track & Field and women really do take up a lot of time, so I decided to quit WoW and live a game-free life. So what does all of this have to do with me returning? DAMN IT'S SC2 FOR GOD'S SAKE! Even if I was 90 years old I'd return and play. I've got my money set aside to go and get me a copy on July 27th so expect to play online with me as soon as I finish the campaign.
What else have I been up to? Well, studying, a lot. Electrical Engineering is pretty hard, especially at my university which has a 5-year bachelor with a whole bunch of classes which would be master's level on most other universities. I'll be entering my 5th year in August, so I'm done with most of my classes, only got about 36 credits left which means I graduate in 3 semesters if I take it easy. I figured since the classes I've got left are design classes which are just projects and no tests, I could play SC2.
Also I'm still running Track & Field, this year was pretty bad with a few distractions and injuries but other than that it's been great. Women have been a nuisance, that's all I can say. I don't know if it was bad luck, it was me or it was them, but they take way too much time that I just don't have. I also got myself a nice car and apartment, so I've been doing great on that part, I still can't cook for the most part but I've been slowly learning. I'll be getting a summer job at a local power plant soon so that's some nice work experience to fill my resume with.
Oh, I almost forgot, I'm pretty good at programming in Assembly on Intel x86 chips. I made a few interesting programs like a pong game which has 3 balls and the computer uses an AI system we designed and program to play by itself. We also made a piano simulator in which you can play, record and replay whatever you played on the piano, we got a friend who knows how to properly play a piano and he played some pretty cool stuff there. I know C++, but I hate it and don't understand it to it's full extent since I haven't used it since my 2nd year and I use MATLAB a lot, but I don't see much use of it here.
Anyways, how are you guys? What's changed around here and what are your plans for SC2?
None.
