My name, RIVE (RIVEXNGLE/ RIVE XNGLE), was thought of prior to me getting the internet.
It is an acronym, believe it or not, for Richard Is Very Excellent.

I thought I was being clever at the time, and was pretty proud of myself. Later, I found out it was an actual word in the English language which means 'to tear or rend apart'. After that, I thought this knowing made the name twice as awesome.

Somewhere down the line, I began to see myself as a character that required a last name. The last name came in the form of a typo where I put an 'X' in front of the word 'angle'. My computer was acting goofy and deleted the 'a' which left me with 'Xngle'. I thought, "How the hell do you pronounce that?" That thought on its own is how several usernames are usually created on the internet; so, after that, it was in.

While on the topic of pronunciation, because it seems people on Xbox LIVE always seem to go the wrong way with it, my name it pronounced like 'DRIVE', but without the 'D'; not 'RIVER' without the 'R'. As for XNGLE, I just go with 'X-Angle' not shingle or whatever.

I was looking for some cool name for battle.net back then and so I just let my mind fly and inspire me by my thoughts.
Funny thing is I never much liked or played Tomb Raider but I just happened to stumble upon the nude patch that is now my name a few days earlier. For Tomb Raider 1 btw.
Being the kid I was back then I was amazed by it since I never heard of nude patches before. I installed Tomb Raider just for the sake of trying it out. -lol
Today I like the name because it sounds cool, and is unique. I never have problems registering anywhere cause my name is taken. Sometimes people remember the patch or just find it funny, which is a bonus.

Jack came from when I joined UBCS, which was co-run by excalibur at the time. It was suggested to me by one of the members, and comes from Jack Krauser, in resident evil, as well as the owner of J's Bar, also from resident evil. And no, it isn't my real name.

My username came from Pikmin 2 back in 2004. My original bnet username was Spongbob, and I was sick of it because I forgot to spell it correctly upon account creation. I had just bought Pikmin 2... and I loved it... so... when I saw this image...


I think I might know where Iceman's name came from.

I was never in a l)ark clan. It's not like we l)arks are all interrelated. IIRC l) was extremely popular years ago.
The Underscore, however, is a reference to the ULTIMATE RIDDLE, which I will not reveal.

I needed a new alias because "Silver-Dragon" was dull and uninteresting (I liked dragons and silver was a nice color <_<). Wrote random words in the "Create SC Account" menu until I came across Centreri, and it sounded nice.

Then, after a few days, I realized that I had named myself after a character from Salvatore's novels, Artemis Entreri. But I'd already changed my SEN name to Centreri and made an account and all, and Entreri's a pretty awesome character anyway, so I kept it. So, no, despite what Vrael thinks, it's not a play on "Contrary" .

More recently I made Sentrii, which was a basic remake of Centreri. I use both, depending on where I am.

And... my WoW characters names are Koralhaas (Mage), which is an awesome and unique name, and Cormaethyn (Drood), which is also unique. I was just going for originality with these two, and they sound good.

I used to have such names as '(S)ome(O)ne....' (I thought it was cool when I was 8-10 ) and '(B.M.)Toaster' (unrelated to any B.M. anyone's probably ever heard of), but they got stolen ...
I'm horribly uncreative so I asked my friend what I should make... and our being in elementary school at the time, his answer was "*lol* make it farty!", so I gave it 'funny' capitalization and put '1000000000' at the end, creating 'FaRTy1000000000'. Then I was inactive for a long time and forgot my password, and having made Clan [O] I made my new account the one that everyone recognizes and loves. ;o

Back in the day when i used to be in clan RgK under RgK_Garm (Clan that revolved around norse mythology lotrish type maps) I saw some guy named "MAD" and i'm like. Oh shit bitch thats cool. I liked resident evil and the zombie horde scene a lot at the time (utter crap now) so i was like "I should start a clan" so I started Clan [RE] and became "MadZombie[RE]" like 5 years ago or something. Back when the RE zombie clans were still fresh and my only opponent was clan S.T.A.R.S. I stoped getting on clan RE and without even a reason I left them. Some time later i re joined b.net under simply MadZombie and ba da bing.

Although i remember even before RgK_Garm I went under really stupid names because i was never happy with my name ideas. I could swear they used to have a bigger character limit back in the day because i SWEAR i was "DrunkenDoucheCow" at one point (impossible now, too many characters). I think i joined a scv football clan under NinjaDouchecow or something like that...

ATM i like to multi with other names besides MadZombie for the lulz. Refuge (lost it), Regicide, TentacleRape, and Footninja (haven't logged on in years). I remember at some point owning Maplantis and Templesiege but i didnt use them for more than 2 hours when i first created them. Sigh :C

When I was trying to come up with a name for the main character of my campaign series, I decided that I would close my eyes, point to the monitor (I had the map editor open) and either use the exact word I pointed at or a slight modification of it. I opened my eyes and I was pointing at 'doodad,' so I dropped the last 'd' and changed it to an 'n.' More than a year after coming up with the name, I joined SEN and named my account after the character. I'd initially joined just to post my maps, but a couple of months later, I ventured onto the forums. It's interesting to me that such a random circumstance led to a name that I now feel a great deal of emotional attachment to.

Moar stuff:

- The first version of my campaign in 2004 was lost when my computer crashed. I remade it in 2005. If I hadn't done so, I might never have come to SEN.
- While making the 2004 version, I found a baby bird that had fallen from a tree and I took care of him. He only lived 3 days, but I named him 'Doodan' nonetheless.
- My first World of Warcraft account that I made about 6 months before joining SEN was named Doodan.
