Recently, my fan has been going crazy, making these loud noises, doing it for a minute or so. I would say every 4-5 minutes this happens. Sometimes it happens in unison with a disconnect to the internet.
I tried:
Restarting my computer, turning off my computer for 3 days straight to give it a break and I have also tried smacking the hell out of the top of the computer
, but no success. If anyone can tell me whats wrong with it, please tell me. The sound can probably be heard 10-15 feet away.
I felt around, it doesn't seem to be hot, but heck, what do I know?
The sound is not scratching, grinding etc. It's just the air/fan.
None.
Probably power supply problems. Ask Ex for details.
None.
It would have nothing to do with the PSU. Its probably just dusty. Compressed air will fix it.
I have the same problem due to the fact that my computer is in a cabinet. Pull it out before it overheats. If you don't have your computer in a cabinet with no space, disregard this post.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch
The fan could just be old and the bearing began to die. If that's the case you would have to replace it.
Time to clean your air filters/computer.

Thanks everyone. It shows how much I know about computers >.>.
EDIT: Forgot to say I fixed it.
