I would also have to agree with USS Cane. It is indeed a great map, and I've played it over 30 times now. There are a few things I would like to bring to Bioject's attention though.
All of these points are assuming you have no released a version passed "v1.6", or found any of these problems with the map:
1) When playing the map, some missions are repeated even though they are completed. Thus being said, WDF is going on? I did the mission, and then the game glitches and wants me to do something again when there is nothing there.... Hmm....mistake?
2) When playing with a friend once (just us left... ugh... n00bs...), he picked up a Flashbang (worth $10) and then used it because he had found something more valuable (Flare/Recall Package - $50) to sell when at an item dispenser. Upon using the Flashbang, his hp hit zero and the game ended for him. Not only was I mad because I lost my partner in crime, but a hoard of zombies ended my fun shortly thereafter. There were no zombies in the visual vicinity to attack my friend when this occured and it made me quite mad because we had completed 9 missions and played for an hour.
Please fix that... I don't know what went wrong, but it's certainly not right.
3) This is just a suggestion, but whatever triggers you have working on the zombies HP when playing the game, I think, in my opinion, that they should be modified. I always find that no matter how many players I have with me (even if alone), no matter how many upgrades I have (even as the soldier class with approximately 20 upgrades... and yes... i can micro zombies...), I find that the game gets drop-dead difficult. The HP of the zombies gets too high too fast in my opinion. Every single time I hit the 40 minute marker during game-play, I feel that I may as well pack up my stuff and start over because the hoards just get too big, and even at level 14 with 20 upgrades (as already mentioned) and microing, I can't fight them off. Your HP setup for the zombies must be set on a timer because it's around that 40 minute marker that gets me. No matter if I use the subway and free myself from the clutches of their swarm, I still end up dead because they can travel along the map too quickly to do anything useful.
Overall, I love this map. That being said, I'd love to see some of these changes take place because it's bothersome to not ever have finished a great game like this in closed mode, even when I've honed my skills on the map (memorizing item locations and what I like to call "sweet spots").
I'd also have to agree with Unholy on the fact that the open mode of the map is exetremely boring. It doesn't keep you on your toes, and doesn't offer anything further than some blood. Seeing a "Challenge" mode would be wonderful because it would give the map a much more dynamic style of playing. If this map had a challenge mode, I'd consider calling it a "Left 4 Dead enhancement" because of the gripping action a masssssive swarm would provide while still trying to move as a group and eat every now and again.
Summary:- Excellent map with few bugs and spelling errors
- Overall 7.5/10 for "closed" mode (Reason: cannot get passed the 1 hour marker.... EVER... even after around 5 consecutive, 40 minute games!!!!)
- Overall 3/10 for "open" mode
- Go with what Unholy said about a "Challenge mode" and put all those noob zombies maps to shame! (Left 4 Dead on Starcraft! HELLZ YEAH!)
None.
