Browsers load images based on that, but I still cannot figure out why .jpg is appended to the end. It seems to serve no purpose whatsoever other than confuse people.

Attached map in question, and the "compress map" option was greyed out (cannot be modified by the end user).

I love the day when I see a map that StarEdit and StarForge can open but SCMDraft can't. :awesome:

I found the problem ... When loading from an MPQ it adds an extra byte to the data.
I'm assuming by the map you gave me (having triggers and such) that it was not a new map created by MapSketch, but instead a map opened by MapSketch?

Yes; also, you used a label for the "new" option instead of a button so it is not possible to click it, forcing us to always open a map when we want to create something :P.

Change Tileset or Dimensions and it will create a new map. I'm not forcing anything. ;o The "[New]" label is supposed to be the filename of the opened map.

I know ... That's what I've been using to debug the maps it produces. :P Usually, though, if you do things like go to locations or triggers it crashes. .. It's just a lot more unstable.

Would it be more helpful if I said that in the little caption at the bottom of the tab? Like this:

I just made it so it generates the available colors when you choose the tileset and it makes it a tiny, tiny bit laggy ... It's probably best to keep it pre-generated, unless I make it so it only does each tileset once.

When I saw this I got so excited I deleted my SCPM folder.

On the adjustments menu, changing the tileset crashes for everything except badlands, jungle and desert (Run-time error '9' Subscript out of range, if that helps at all). Also it won't let me open a lot of maps I tried to open initially with the same error, and I had to create a new map (Not a big deal). (It also crashed when moving on to the finalize, but that was fixed with registering COMCTL32.OCX). (I'm on XP SP3).

Phenomenal results, though! There's no comparison to SCPM, to do so would be an insult to MapSketch. Even with the bugs I encountered, your program wins.

A side note: The 'Map Description' doesn't count the new lines and puts all of the information on one line. By the way, how did you know I prepared it?! Hmm...

Were they protected at all?[/quote]I can reproduce these errors, except changing tilesets seems to be random for me ... I can go through every tileset and get the error, then reopen and then do the exact same thing and not get it .. so I have no idea. ;o

It does count the newlines, it's just Windows can't display it ... I should make it so that if you don't compress the map it doesn't do that ...

Try this new EXE (Replace your old EXE) ... If it works, I'll upload it as an update release.

It can't delete players if they aren't there. :P And it makes everything 0 because I didn't feel like generating all the default sections. :P I figured picture maps don't need them ..., and you can just click 'Restore Defaults' in any editor.

Really? O.o In maps I was testing the old version would crash or improperly load the minimaps, this one doesn't seem to do that at all. Where is it crashing or bugging?

When ever i try to open mapsketch it says "component 'comctl.ocx' or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered a file is missing or invalid

Whenever I try and put my Avatar into a blank map and such, and then proceed to try out the different tilesets to find the best one, i always crash and get an error that says "Run-Time Error '9': Subscript out of range"
