Heres my question.
If you could delete one doodad for each tileset, which one would it be and why?
Ill get around to posting the ones I would delete in a second, so hang on.

Structure wall #3 because it's completely useless... It's #2 without the sprite. In badlands.

what are you guys talking about, its a little mound of cliff, i rather like it, especially because it has a sprite so you can stick it up against cliffs or water...

Lol, dirt #5 is occasionally useful. I like it too. And it's a nice doodad to use instead of those rock ones. I hate that one doodad that looks a vespene geyser except that you can't place it anywhere. Can you place it somewhere? It doesn't go on dirt like it says it does.

As much as I love Ice World, the doodad "Cliff #10 and Cliff #11" I admire for its appearance and I admittedly use it for blending, but how there is a random corpse of a green civilian or marine filling partially in two tiles. The doodad alone is great, but it annoys me how there's a corpse in it, and also how there is no other variant of the doodad (in full snow) without the corpse.

I don't like Coastal Cliff #2 and #3 because it looks like feces gathered from the ocean.

Substructure #8 - #15 in Installation looks like they are out of place because of its yellowness. The broken cranes (#12 - #15) look like demolished Protoss Scouts.

It's actually an unused doodad because it's not at the Campaign Editor. I'm assuming Blizzard discarded it but kept it in the files. That or, they deleted the sprite for it.


There are plenty of other doodads that I don't like but that will be what I would list for now.

Thats just the smaller version of number 5, and once again it's useful because you can put it up against cliffs and stuff because of the sprite.

There are probably more, but those are the only ones I found in my photobucket. (That and a thing made by Wilhelm using the walls)

I want the doodad that is on the box.

And tanks that attack carriers ...

Wow with all those unused blends People can create dozens of terrain pieces even dare a say create a new bridge blend 0_o\
and no unless you take a old version of starcraft, use a mpq extractor, find the pictures even so you won't be able to use it in game.

Those don't appear in SCMD2's Tileset Indexed terrain 0_o How'd you find them, Farty? Are they usable with a map editor?

@Tempz: Is your second sentence referring to the terrain?

I was digging through unused tiles in the terrain files ... You can't use them in the editor or StarCraft without a mod.
The one in the picture on SC's box ... that just doesn't exist. (That's actually what I was looking for when I dug through the terrain. :P)

If you look closely the Goliath is shooting the scout (with it's machine-gun things) and shooting the OTHER scout with rockets. Lolwin.

For two minutes I was like "Bob's guns... so what?"
And then I was like...
"SHIT I NEEDED THOSE TILES FOR A BLEND ONCE!"

Also: You need to learn to be a better photographer. Flash=Bad in pictures like that. That glare is repulsive. (Excuse me if you did not take that picture ;) )
Hoorah for photography class!
