No, it means he's giving his beta key to the winner. Considering the beta is only gonna be around for another 2 months, I suppose it makes sense.
ROFL you are talking about bliz hear. I mean just look how long it took to get beta out compared to when it was originally forecasted. Btw they're excuse was battle.net2 which with blizzard there is always an excuse.
Can someone elaborate on this fire theme??? Do we need fire effects? Is it suppose to be about fire some way shape or form? Or can we just make campfire's out of bunkers? I don't quite understand this as a theme.
None.
Sounds cool. Even though my crappy computer cant play beta, i might participate, just gotta brainstorm some ideas 1st.

I know what they're excuse was, and I know why it didn't work. I have friends who work for Blizzard, how do you think I got my SC2 beta key?
Now that BNet2.0 is working, however, the beta wont last long. From what I know, the beta is already half-way done (since pretty much all of the non-BNET2.0 testing was done in-house). They're shooting for a mid-2010 release.

Currently Working On: My Overwatch addiction.

I don't really know quite yet how I am going to rate the theme, but the main component of the game is to be fire. As I said, it could be making fires, putting out fires, how humans made the first fire, a quest to find a lost flame... whatever. But as long as the player is doing something because of fire, or for fire, I don't really mind.
I wouldn't consider it part of the theme if it had nothing to do with fire but 'Marines shoot and there are sparks at the end of their gun.'
However if there was some sort of ammo system and each shot you fired leveled up your fire metre and you cast a big firey explosion upon your enemies... I'd probably consider that quite theme oriented. I wouldn't give it a 5/5 but it'd definitely be hitting at least a 3 depending on how well you implement it.
So to answer your questions, campfires will be part of the theme, as long as they're a significant component to the game and not just their for Aesthetics. (Though you will get good marks in Aesthetics if they are just for that

Can I submit Farty's Burn Things map for this?
None.
I would join, but my map making prowess is... severely lacking...
so I will not.
None.
I'd join if I weren't hospitalized atm. So GL to all the contestants.
Can I submit Farty's Burn Things map for this?
I was considering posting "Maybe I should've made Burn Things for this." ... But it'd fail in almost every category.

Yeah, I thought the 'moose' was some slang for burned that I haven't heard before.
Will I win if I just spam firebats in my map?— because that's what I'm doing... so far I have 104 firebats. Later, I will be adding some Gui's.

The plan is that whoever wins may use my battle.net 2.0 account to access SC2 beta. They may use this account until beta closes.
That's account sharing, and it's against Blizzard's ToS.
If members are going to be punished after providing a link to the SC2 beta crack, I think the staff should show some consistency in being on Blizzard's good side and not allow this type of thing. Find another reward, guys.

Wut Wut? I had no idea.
On the bright side, the contest will still be held, shocko still has his key, and if he just happens to leak it
accidentally to someone who just happened to also be the winner of this now
non-beta key contest, there's nothing you, I, or the rest of the staff can do about it really... (except ban him. and ban me for being his accomplice I guess.

No way! The game is piece of shit right now. It's inbalanced and lack many many things. I was hoping the beta lasts long enough for them to make it neat. Damn!

All the more reason to stop giving a shit what blizzard thinks about us, when they've shown they either think badly or nothing of us.

they always shoot for these goals but they're history tends to get the better of them. But still July 4th looks good considering the original date was last year which is on blizard time.
Definition - Blizard Time - The time it takes blizard to do something compared to the time they were hoping to get it done by. This seems to varry and has gotten longer as the years drag on and newer generations of games appear.
