RPG MAKING CONTEST HOSTED BY 8882!

There are many RPG maps; unfortunately, most of them are boring, imbalanced or poorly designed.

Consequently I've decided to make a contest and ask participants to make an rpg map, that will have all the "cool" things inside.
If you have previously made a map that fits my description, please give me a link to it - I will gladly play it.

Here is the deal:
Im searching for a "route rpg". By that I understand that heroes start at a certain location (e.g. their starship crashed) and follow some path (can be linear) to the end, while fighting creatures, bosses, perhaps solving puzzles etc. The idea is that THEY NEVER GO BACK, to any town or something. Perhaps NPCs could be introduced, but Id prefer if those didnt really affect the gameplay.

As the players progress, they kill stuff and earn minerals for upgrades. But it shouldnt be thousands of units (like in all those special forces maps), but rather "enough" units to support upgrading most players in the team etc. There could be traps and so on. The upgrade center should be marked on the map and highly visible - perhaps make a "tour" of the map telling where to upgrade etc.
In addition a healing method should be used. Simplest way = moving a medic (or soemthing) onto a beacon; harder - building a medic etc.
I hate maps where you need to go to "town" to heal. Healing kits or w/e should be given to the whole team (everyone has to ick them up) - not dissapear when the first player picks them up.

The character classes should be different and there should be evolutions every so often. My ideal map is nightmare rpg, where the upgrades are at 50, 150 and 300 kills. Perhaps it should be 250 for the 3rd evolve (to get you the idea of the number of kills).

The map should not be easy, but it should be semi passsable with the typical bnet scrubs. Please note hower, that it shouldnt be too easy though.

e.g. Starship crashes in some installation terrain. You pick your character class (maybe people can pick the same character class few times? but the classes need to be balanced, not that everyone ends playing a marine); then you move through differnt rooms collecting items, killing stuff and fighting bosses. You solve some puzzles perhaps; then fight your way to the end.

This sounds simple, yet the only map I know which fits into this decription is nightmare rpg.
Perhaps Dungeon escape (or w/e was the name of the single player maps) - is TOO HARD and not flexible enough

There is no award for winning the contest, but I hope someone will finally make a good rpg, which is not boring and doesnt include some marine with 120 armor walking around the map killing stuff. Someone malicious could say that Im just searching for a nightmare rpg with a new map layout/bosses + some improvements (like better upgrade system/healing) and maybe some puzzles.

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

No offence but there are quite a few RPGs that mostly fit your description. Mostly horror RPGs such as splatter house.

Red classic.

I'm working on an rpg atm. All I need to do is a bunch of triggering. I'll post it once I'm done with it =)
Also I might make a map production thread too but I want to get a bit more triggers done before I do.

Something I made a long time ago. Fits your description mostly. There are towns, but you don't need to go to them to heal, just to do parts of the story.
